Armando messed up my hair. Walked in with a fauxhawk and faded sides that were starting to grow back out. Armando removes the fade completely and thins out my fauxhawk. He also gave me crooked ice picks when he lined me up this past Saturday. Then he tried to play it off like it was my fault. And it was a 28 dollar haircut. I’m sorry to say, but he should not be cutting hair much longer.

Armando has been cutting my hair for close to 30-​years and he’s great!

Nice haircut, take their time over the hair, about 30 mins to complete. Finished with blade around the back & sides. Good conversation and friendly staff.

Review is for Nigel in particular, have had good haircuts by the other guys as well, but have been coming consistently to Nigel for a year or so. Before that I was the supercuts type of guy, but I can see now it’s definitely worth paying the little extra.
Have already referred two people!

I’ve been going to Eddie for years and I can’t say enough good things about him. He’s attentive and is skilled at translating your words into an awesome haircut.
He’s also great at giving suggestions if you ask for it. I’ll be going here for my hair cuts for as long as I live in the area.

Went here for the first time today to get a Men’s business cut. Edward was my barber. He did a great job and I would trust coming here again.

This is the only place I get my hair cut. Everyone has fucked my hair up until i got it cut here. Nigel is the man, hes the only one in the finacial district that can to bald fades and style cut. Strongly recommended! Never lets me down!

Usually don’t write bad reviews but my experience was not great. I am new in town and was looking for the right place. I told the barber what I wanted («short on the side and don’t touch the top»). The barber was a bit condescending in his reply.
During the cut I made a comment on what I want again and he ignored it. Instead of going slowly he just started to chop everything of without showing progress.
The barber also forgot to blow off the loose cut hair on my neck and cheeks, before I left chair and only did so at my direct request.
The barber experience is about the small things, caring and treating clients like million dollars. Unfortunately did not feel like this barber was there to make me look good. The cut was not worth it and it ruined my day. Will not be coming back.

I’ve been getting haircuts from Nigel for roughly 3yrs, and I believe for justifiable reasons.
Nigel is markedly meticulous: he will spend 20 to 30min to ensure that the cut is symmetric, proportional, and well faded. He is also an easygoing person that can keep a solid conversation going, so none of that awkward silence barber.
The cut is $ 28 (cash only), which I consider as extremely reasonable for this level of service and quality in SF, where comparable barbers wouldn’t hesitate to charge $ 40 – 50.
Bonus: He has interesting stories to tell if you can get him to open up.

Nigel is legit. I stumbled across this barbershop a few months ago, and I’ve become a regular ever since.
There is one fact that will give legitimacy to my review: my sex life has gotten better since coming to Pro-​Style.

Great men’s haircut for the price in SF. Either Ed or Nigel are the guys to see. Old school approach, take the time to do it right, and style it based on your head shape and what looks fresh. I also like the gel they use, KMS. I buy it now for my own use at home.
Nigel will warm lather the neckline and sideburns with shave cream/​straight razor, but Ed works more magic with the blow dryer and finishing touches. I’ve never had a blow dryer involved getting a haircut in my life, but it actually makes a difference on certain types of hair styles/​hair types. My thick italian hair needs it with the gel and I think it’s solid.

Nigel is my new favorite Barber! Not only is he excellent at bald head fades, but he is like a ninja with a straight razor. He is also very personable and professional, and were always jokin around and chit chattin the whole time im in the chair. If your looking for a new barber, Nigel is your man! Great old school barbershop ambience in the heart of the financial district.

Go here. I went in — was welcomed by everyone working — and the shop fell back to chewing the fat while I waited.
Nigel set me up in a chair, listened to what I which cut I wanted and actually proceeded to do just what I had in mind, only better. He answered my questions about the barber shop while he worked. That can be good or bad. Some people can’t talk and pay attention to what they’re doing (which is alarming if they have sharp objects near your head in their hands) — he can!
Before the straight razor came out I knew I could relax — I was going to look sharp! He did a fantastic job trimming my beard short and then detailing it with the straight razor. Its the 1^st time I’ve ever had a straight razor shave and man — it was smooth!
If you’re in the Financial and have an important networking event to nail (like I did), stop at Pro Style! I left feeling smooth and sharp! I’m going back!

I went in a week ago to get my hair cut by Nigel. I have had MANY a hair cut in this city but never one from Nigel. I am currently on the job search so having a hair cut and looking good is of the utmost importance now in my life.
I was very impressed by Nigel’s skill, and PASSION for his client and trade. Nigel, gave me the best hair cut I have had in the city yet, living here for nearly 4 years.
On top of it, Nigel, gives a great shave classic barber style. He’s totally friendly and also very funny!
A total professional in every way and I highly recommend Nigel to anyone looking for a great cut and a nice relaxing time in the barber chair!

Without fail, I leave every appointment very happy with my haircut. He faces me away from the mirror and goes to work. He focuses on the way my hair works and does a great job!
Gotta love the random VHS «history channel» recordings on aliens and yetis that are running non-​stop.

I just moved to SF and am in need of a good barber to keep me looking sharp for interviews and what-​have-​you. This place came pretty highly reviewed, albeit for a certain barber named Aidan. When I went in he was on vacation, but I figured I’d give the place a chance anyway. Sat down with a guy named Tony who greeted me with a warm smile, but that was probably the best part of the experience…
He didn’t really ask me any questions about what I was looking for, when my last cut had been etc. He just kind of went to town and then asked me if I wanted Gel in my hair (before I had seen the cut because for some reason the chairs are faced away from the mirror and towards a 20 year old taped TLC special.) It didn’t look great and wasn’t nearly short enough so I told him more specifically what I wanted.
In the end it looked terrible and I didn’t want to risk letting him fix it so I paid and left. Went to a place closer to my house where I got it somewhat salvaged for half the price. Pretty sure this guy does not have his barber license because it was the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten, supercuts included.
