We believe the proper way to fix your vehicle is by understanding the theory of operation on a specific system and utilizing the proper test equipment to diagnose the specific symptom. We are one of the few shops in the Bay Area that are capable to apply math and science when diagnosing symptoms relating to engine performance, electrical system, air conditioning, etc. In fact, many local repair shops rely on us for advice when they encounter difficult problems with their customers’ vehicles. Prestige Auto Service was established in 1989 on 984 Folsom St. near the corner of 6^th and Folsom. We have been servicing foreign & domestic vehicles for the past

25 years. The business received Gold Shield status in 2003 and later became STAR smog certified in 2013. On 11÷1÷2014, the business moved to a new location on 240 6^th st. 2^nd floor. SOMA.

Business Owner

I learned the automotive trade since I bought my first car back in 1977. As a teenager, I was very curious about the theory of operation in an automobile. I constantly worked and tune my own car to make it perform at its best. In 1979, I attended a 2-​year automotive training course at the College of Alameda. In 1981, I became an ASE certified automotive technician working at Campus Auto Care in Berkeley. I worked there for 7 years before opening my own business in 1989. Among my favorite subjects of studies are astronomy, physics, chemistry, math and

science.
