Pressed Juicery

These cold presses are awesome, fresh, and full of organic goodness. Of course it’s expensive but it’s easier than cold pressing at home. Saves me the trouble.

I was so excited for my juice cleanse! Until I looked at the nutritional information… Crazy, crazy amounts of sugar. They are basically all either apple juice or pineapple juice, with some greens thrown in. They don’t show this on the site, and even list ‘apple’ down at the bottom of the list of ingredients on the front label, but if you turn the bottle over you will see it is the first ingredient in most of your juices for the day — Cleanse 2 has 168 grams of sugar per day! NOT healthy.

Came here on Sunday on a whim as at work one of the girls had lost 6lbs on a juice cleanse so I thought I’d pop in and check it out. First of all its so nice and bright and clean in here, there is a big board where you can look at all the juice options — I really like this as I was planning to buy a bunch to do a cleanse and I good pick and choose what appealed to me. Also the girl working helped me out and gave me good recommendations and also let me sample some. I did buy some of the green ones and I’m happy to say they’re tasty I did tell her I didn’t want any earthy tasting ones so the ones she recommended for me were perfect ! I also got some citrus ones — delicious, the seasonal watermelon lime and minty — amazing and the yummy vanilla almond one that everyone raves about ! 5 juices cost $ 29.50 if you do a cleanse its $ 39. 50 per day which includes 6 juices and 2 waters. I like the fact you can come in person not order online and wait for it to be shipped like some advertised online) I’m on day two and feeling good so far !!

I feel GREAT.
I headed into Pressed Juicery Thursday morning (they open at 7am!) because I was feeling bloated after overindulging over the past month — gaining back 10 pounds that it took 2 months to lose.
Never having done a juice cleanse, I was scared. Given my obsession with food and my ability to rationalize why I NEED to eat or snack or binge or whatever, I would never have imagined I could pull off something like a juice cleanse. I always thought they were for other people, not this girl.
After a free sample of the vanilla almond milk (which does taste like ice cream), I knew I could at the very least try to juice until dinner. I bought the beginner’s 3 day cleanse and I’m on day 3 now.
Day 1: Never felt hungry, still felt really bloated from the salt-​packed, fatty, fried, and processed foods I’d stuffed into my body. Went for a walk. Slept like a BABY (even though I have been stressed and waking up in the middle of the night with trouble getting back to sleep).
Drink 1: vanilla almond — yum! This made the cleanse seem like it would be easy.
Drink 2: greens 2 — yuuuck? Many flavors, all of them vegetably. Drank half.
Drink 3: roots 2 — no effing way. tastes like liquified baby food (carrots) Managed ¼ of the bottle.
Drink 4: citrus 2 — yay! this is amazing. I can do this. pineapply goodness.
Drink 5: greens 3 — tolerable, but very grassy/​spicy. greens 2 was better.
Drink 6: chocolate almond — sooooooo good. sooooooo good. so, so, so good. only drank half — ended up giving the other half to my husband b/​c while this is a caloric deficit, it’s still a lot of fat and sugar.
Dinner: Boca burger on wheat bun with American cheese & mustard, 1 zucchini steamed
Day 2: Maybe my taste buds were off. The drinks tasted much better on day 2. Much, much better. The day started out okay, but the middle part of the day was rough. Had a «cleanse headache» most of the day, especially after trying another walk. Did I mention I didn’t do any pre-​cleansing at all? This was to be expected, but it sucked no less. After I had most of the chocolate almond milk (drink 6), I felt better. Slept like a baby AGAIN.
Drink 1: vanilla almond — where have you been all my life?
Drink 2: greens 2 — yuuum? what happened? why is this better than yesterday?
Drink 3: roots 2 — ok something’s up. this one’s good now too.
Drink 4: citrus 2 — maybe my favorite juice drink ever.
Drink 5: roots 3 — not as spicy as yesterday, good as a «dinner» drink.
Drink 6: chocolate almond — amazeballs. I drank the whole thing.
Dinner: ½ cup steamed butternut squash and 1 steamed zucchini (really needed something warm to eat — big headache at dinner)
Day 3: Here we are!
I am mixing it up today. Since I know I’ve got a fruit juice (citrus 2) and 2 nut milk juices that taste like HEAVEN and have a lot of fat and sugar, I’m going to try to step up my game and really cleanse today.
Drink 1: I had Greens 2 — refreshing
Drink 2: I had ¼ bottle of Citrus 2 and one swig of vanilla almond milk
Drink 3: Going to have roots 2
Drink 4: Going to have greens 3

Dinner: I bought some organic asparagus and more squash. Will probably eat something, but will try to just have almond milk or chocolate milk later.
Tomorrow I’m going to buy some organic veggies and fruits and bust out my juicer. If you’re dying to know, the scale tells me I’ve lost 4 pounds. While we know most of that was bloat, I’m happy it’s gone and will use this as an ease into a healthy diet.
THANK YOU, Pressed Juicery, for showing me that I can juice like the rest of em. This was a great introduction to juicing for me and I now look forward to incorporating it into my life.

I tried the 3 day juice cleanse since it seemed to be the trend going around the office. I figured that a little re-​boot of my system couldn’t hurt anyway, so why not?
In the end, I’m glad I tried it, but I don’t think I’ll be doing it again. Somehow I managed to survive the three days without eating any solid food and ditched my horrible coffee addiction by trading it in for the recommended herbal tea.
I felt great after the cleanse was over, but admittedly struggled to resist temptations of sweets for the duration of it. I actually managed to keep up a relatively healthy lifestyle afterwards so in conclusion — Pressed Juicery is awesome. It was the kick in the butt I needed to quit ordering take out and actually get said butt back in the gym.
I slept really, really well and woke up feeling fresh… something that I hadn’t realized I desperately needed. Anyway — about the juices. The whole experience was a little expensive for what seemed like starving myself, but the daily juices kept me pretty full.
Green Juice #1 (Apple, celery, cucumber, kale, lemon, parsley, romaine, spinach): This was actually not as bad as I thought it would be. You can definitely taste the celery and spinach, but the hint of apple and lemon kept it refreshing. After drinking this in the morning on the second day, I felt a little nauseous, but it definitely cleaned out my system!
Juice #2 (Apple, lemon, mint, pineapple): My favorite of them all! It was really, really good and refreshing, but not too sweet. I looked forward to this one after the green juice earlier in the day.
Green Juice #3 (Same as juice #1): Read above!
Juice #4 (Apple, beet, ginger, lemon): WHOO. This one had a kick. The ginger made me make a face like I just ate a super hot sour patch kid… every. sip. Not my favorite, but keep on chugging on.
Juice #5 (Lemon, cayenne pepper, alkeline water): This had a kick as well. SPICY. Definitely had to remember to shake it up so I wouldn’t get a gulp of straight up hot pepper in between lemon juice.
Juice #6 (Almond, dates, filtered water, sea salt, vanilla bean): Definitely what kept me going each day… the thought of this glorious liquid goodness. It’s literally like drinking vanilla cake batter. That is all I need to say.
I’ll definitely come back to Pressed Juicery to have a refreshing drink now and again. It was overall a good experience, and the product is legit.

Juicing for me is like desparately looking for a rebound… Seriously. I mean, I usually eat very moderately and drink moderately. The drinking part might be a fib. I also exercise regularly. Naturally I feel amazing most of the time… Good city eats, tasty SF cocktails, and active sports. What can possibly go wrong where I would find myself at the mercy of the desperate need to get a rebound… Any rebound?
As some of you may have noticed I haven’t posted much since maybe early February. I was wifed up to tax season and chained up in my office for just about 7 days a week with the occassional 6 day weeks at minimum 14 hours a day. I sit all day, stare at a screen, help people save money to the best of my abilities, stuff my face with anything I can find to eat twice a day, and it’s a few drinks before bed because I apparently have sleep issues.
It’s off season now and my relationship w my office and work is much more flexible. The ball and chain is no more. It’s almost like getting a divorce or breaking up w a girl friend. You see her every moment of everyday, but now you slowly part ways and take a break from each other. I feel like crap. All that inactive sitting, stuffing my face with bad foods, stress, and alky sure got me desperately needing to detox.
So somehow I found this place while walking to dinner. It was an easy choice. I was feeling like crap at its lowest point. Get me the most potent detox possible please. They were as helpful as could be but I sensed a slight lack of knowledge when I asked about the nutrients in each juice they serve there. They couldn’t really answer me. At least they were super friendly and tried their best and even allowed me to have samples which were very kind of them. It’s fresh pressed juice… I’m sure anything would do given my current state of lows. I went thru a full day and 8 different bottles yesterday. Going in for another today.
Desparate times calls for desperate measures. Juicing to detox is my rebound.
Pressed Juicery is the place to find it.

This is the best juice ever. Super fresh, tastes way better than anything I can juice on my own & keeps me full!
I came in here a week or two ago and the staff was extremely nice and helpful. The manager gave me some samples and helped me decide on one of the cleanse packages (which I didn’t even know they did) along with their beet drink, which I highly recommend!
I love how simple and clean this place is.

I have always seen their van on the freeway and wondered where they were located at.
By accident, I was exploring Noe Valley and saw it. So I had to check it out.
I decided to go with the Strawberry, apple and lime combo and thoroughly enjoyed!
Very small, with a very menu that is easy to figure out.
Great customer service and offers samples to try before buy.
Price is not bad, but definitely above the price of a smoothie (I believe it was $ 6 – 7).
Well worth it and I believe people use these for juicing diets.

Pressed Juicery has some good juices. They offer a large variety of flavors for both fruit and greens. I like the Greens 3 for when I want to have something healthy. For juices, I like the watermelon, strawberry and coconut, and a pineapple one I forgot what else was in it. I like how they have seasonal flavors every so often so that people won’t get bored of the same flavors over and over again. I usually come to this location since it’s near work. However, I took a star off because it’s a little steep. Green juices are like almost $ 8. That’s like a meal in a cup.

On the second day of my three-​day cleanse, my bf tells me, «I’m staying away from you until this cleanse is over because you’re unbearable when you don’t eat.»
This is unfortunately true.
Who pays to not eat all day long? First worlders who need to de-​bloat, in my case.
Friendly staffers will be happy to give you samples, but here’s my run-​thru:
– Greens 1: all greens, mild
– Greens 1.5: didn’t enjoy b/​c sea salt is too strong
– Greens 2: ok balance of sweet & grassy
– Greens 3 & 4: most palatable ones, thanks to ginger and/​or cayenne
– Greens 5: too sweet (contains orange & pineapple)
– Roots 1: too earthy. My bff says it tastes like «bark.» There’s a cost to being healthy, & my tastebuds are not willing to pay up. Blech.
– Roots 2: not much better than Roots 1
– Roots 3: the only Roots I’m willing to drink… beets, apple, lemon, & ginger make a nice flavor
– Citrus 1: I’m not a fan of aloe vera or coconut water, so this one had an off putting taste to me
– Citrus 2: my favorite of the three, but definitely bordering on being too sweet
– Citrus 3: hell no, not drinking all that grapefruit juice
– lemon h2o: my absolute favorite drink. Alkaline water, lemon, & cayenne burn so good going down my esophagus
– chlorophyll h2o: pond water
– aloe vera water: there’s no other way to put this… it tastes like jizz (I don’t know if you consider that a good or a bad thing)
Not surprisingly, my favorite flavors are the most caloric ones. At over 400 calories per bottle, Vanilla Almond, Vanilla Coffee, Chocolate Almond, & Brazil Nut are decadent, filling, & delicious.
Frequent buyers’ perks, often an awesome promo running… Cleansing with Pressed Juicery has become part of my monthly routine, just don’t expect me to be freakin jolly about it!

A daily stop for me! Love most of the juices and take the immunity drops daily. The staff are friendly and helpful. I will be sad to move from the hood. I wish there were more locations or ability to order all there products.

It’s been a while since I’ve written a positive review on Unilocal,but the holiday spirit moves me. I’ve been juicing here at the Juicery for more than a year, and I’ve only had good experiences. The juices are healthy, delicious, nutrient dense (wink). Everyone on staff is friendly and highly professional (Phillip, the manager, runs a tight ship). I used to walk all the way to Sidewalk Juice in the Mission, but this place is legit. They don’t make the juice on site, but it is bottled fresh every morning, they say, and I believe them. 5 stars for these juice heads.

Very clean store of pressed juices! You can sample as man has you want. Green 5 is my favorite. The Citrus 2 juice was also very good. The only thing is they seem pricey for something stored in a fridge rather than freshly made in front of you. They even have liquid immune supplements that come in a dropper bottle so you can add drops of it to your juice.

Visiting San Fran for 4 days and I needed a fresh juice. To my surprise I came across this place while doing my morning jog walk & run. I met Phillip and he told me so much about the area. Yes! His recommendations were spot on and I appreciated our conversation.
Please go check out their juices and benched on the corner. I had the Greens 3 and it was heavenly!

Service here is great but they are not 100% organic. For the money, I now get my juice from a place that serves 100% organic juice. #nopesticides #healthiswealth

I was really excited for this cleanse! I picked up 3 days worth of juices, plus the chlorophyll water and aloe water that was recommended to go along with it. By the third day, a few of the juices seemed to have «turned» — especially the Aloe water, which had a funny smell on Day 3 — but maybe that is just me being revolted after forcing down so much of this stuff!
SO: I tasted most of the juices in the store. The small sips they gave me were pretty tasty.
But once I got them home, I found I could barely finish an entire bottle of Citrus, Roots, and definitely not the Specialty. They were unbelievably, cloyingly sweet to me. Turns out the sugar content is quite high. Even though it’s not added sugar (except for the Specialty, which uses dates) they are still quite sweet from all the fruit juice in them– including many of their «green» juices.
I get green juice from other shops frequently, and love the lightness of it. I drink juice frequently, but mostly green juice and not pineapple, grapefruit, apple, or beet. My stomach is actually more bloated and irritated than when I started from all the citrus and sugar. I should’ve done more research! I think I would’ve been OK if it was just the greens without added fruit juices.
In the end, I wound up giving many bottles of the juice to homeless people, and poured several half-​drunk bottles down the drain. I feel like I really wasted my money!
I’m guessing these juices are great for a pick-​me-​up on a hot day, but if you’re thinking of a cleanse, try a different route!
Two stars just because I really wasn’t very hungry and had remarkably more energy & clear-​headedness than I thought I would.

Anyone who’s been on a cleanse knows exactly how uncomfortable it can be.
I, for one, have experienced a manyyyyy different types of cleanses and no matter how supposedly unique the formulation, it all boils down to one thing.

The feeling of teeth clenched, stomach cramping, eyes watering, toes curled, butt cheeks tightly squeezed together omitting the unbelievable urge to push; all while stuck in traffic or standing at the bus stop waiting for MUNI.
Now with these types of cleanses, you truly cannot function as a normal person. I don’t care what they say. One small mistake of thinking you have a bit of flatulence can turn out to be a full blown liquid brown torpedo shooting out the valley. Bombs away! Ugh… there goes your fancy designer jeans. This, of course, is all imaginative projection by the way… *nervous laugh*
After walking by, I noticed the sign, Pressed Juicery, and was immediately drawn. I looooove juice! And juice of all kinds at that!
I picked up a brochure and to my surprise, I found out it was more than just a basic juice shop, but rather a supportive shop for cleansing and detoxing.
They offer 3 different routes to choose from depending on your preferred intensity. You basically drink the specified juices throughout the day and they make it incredibly simple by numbering each drink in succession.
I am happy to report that this particular cleansing method does NOT give you the booty runs. Now that’s the shizznits if you ask me!
I felt that this program helped me become more rejuvenated and lively. It helps that the juices are incredibly tasty as well! I alwaaaaaays looked forward to my dessert drink!
Perfect for those who want to reboot every so often. It’s very gentle and it won’t have you grasping your arse and running for the hills.

I felt like I was on a fake Hollywood set that had yet to be built.
There was a large refrigerator, some shelves with some Harry Potter potion things to lose weight and increase your metabolism, and a counter with a register.
Maybe they’re going to lure me in with their juices and rob me. Well, I was half right. Their juices are pretty expensive. Something like $ 15 for two juices!
Who’s pressing these juices? Sylvester Stallone, or Arnold with his muscles?
Me: «Can I sample the chocolate almond?»
Employee: «We’re sold out.»
Me: «Can I try the chocolate coffee?»
Employee: «We’re out of that too.»
Me: «What do you have that I can buy?»
Employee: «Greens 3 is our most popular.»
Me: «Do you have it in stock?»
Employee: «Yes.»
Me: «Ring me up for one of those, please.»
No greeting as I entered the store. I just walked around aimlessly trying to figure out things on my own.
And I was the ONLY one in the store.
The Greens 3 tasted good and healthy. Wish I could buy more things, but they seemed to be out of what I would like to buy. I also bought the coconut cinnamon water, which I’m loving since it tastes like a healthy Horchata substitute.
Minus one star for not having stuff in stock, and lackluster staff.

OMG, it’s my shiz.
Pre-​packaged FRESH juice that’s line priced under $ 10 and rets to go. And it’s in my neighborhood. WHAT!?!
I fell in love with the people at the Embarcadero location, which is more like a kiosk and not a full walk-​in. Even got to talk to the owners when they first opened, and let me tell you, they are the REAL DEAL. Everything fresh, straight off the farm, super pressed into one nice little bottle.
My favorite is the spiced almond, which only comes in the winter. A close second is the regular almond. But take my word for it, they’ll both warm your lil heart :)

I was buying juices from The Juice Shop and i didnt really like the whole CRV deposit policy since they sell them by glass jars.
I am loving their Citrus and fruit juices.

Watermelon Mint — not too sweet but oh so refreshing.
Pineapple, green apple, lemon, mint — it was okay. Kinda sour?
But my fav has to be Citrus 4: cucumber, pineapple, lemon, coconut h2o, aloe vera. Its not sweet but you can taste the cucumber and aloe vera. it reminded me of a cucumber gimblet. LOL Less sugar compare to the other Citrus juices.
Next time i come by i am going to try the Strawberry, apple, lime!
