Do you have something weird looking on your skin and you don’t want to wait weeks or months to get someone to look at it? Do you need a head-​to-​toe skin cancer check? If so, call Dr. Pollat. He’s easy to get an appointment with as he is partly retired (but not too old), is a very pleasant guy, solves your problem and doesn’t try to sell you stuff. He is NOT a cosmetic dermatologist. No fuss, no muss. The job is done.

I go to Dr. Pollat for yearly skin cancer/​mole screenings. I like him because unlike many dermatologists today he doesn’t try to push skin resurfacing, botox, laser treatments, or whatever else the latest skin-​craze is. He is polite, professional, and thorough.

Just so we’re clear. This review will be coming from my father, and not myself. Anything in this review is based on my fathers experience, and his thoughts. He is sitting here across from me, asking me to type up what he has to say.
My father went to see Dr. Pollat about a boil that he (my father) had for a month, and it was bothering him. My father waited two weeks for an appointment, waiting to get rid of it. Upon arrival to the office on the date of his appointment, my father checked in, and waited. After being summoned in to the doc’s office, things went a little south.
After a quick (quick, like one minute –literally) looksy, Pollat says «It’s a boil.» Well you think, Sherlock? It only took Pollat another half minute to tell my father to put a warm compress on it, and see him in another two weeks. Never before has he seen his $ 20 co-​payment go to waste. In summary. Nothing got done. 0% satisfaction –already made another appointment with another dermatologist.

I have had the best experience and patient care from Dr. Pollat. I was referred to him for a skin issue that cleared up in a day and he actually called me the next day to check on my condition. I have been going to Dr. Pollat for over 10 years and he has cleared up several skin issues for me. He is a prince, a gentleman, an excellent physician and a true dermatologist that cares. I can refer him without any reservation.
