I have a difficult dog. She’s anxious, jumpy, skittish, generally a pain in the ass. She’s been like this since the day we got her from the pound, she’s our little disaster. Our vet has even suggested puppy Prozac. She’s that kind of dog. Despite that, and taking into account her complete unwillingness to sit still, sit on the photo platform, look at the camera, do anything other than eat all of Peter’s liver treats and run each time the flash went off, Peter still got great shots of her. It’s a testament to his good nature, patience, and ability to work with the subjects, dog and human, to get a great shot. He never was pushy or aggressive, and treated both of us with kindness. What’s more embarrassing than having your dog act like a complete dork? He was totally cool with me, which relaxed me greatly, as I was somewhat humiliated by my dog acting like Woody Allen.
We got two amazing shots, and he was able to photoshop them a bit to remove a stray hair here, smooth out a bit there, and I now have two incredibly lovely, vibrant photos of Oola that actually show her personality. I just can’t say enough about Peter’s demeanor, he truly is a pleasure to work with.
The photos were mailed with a DVD of all the shots, and the actual prints were in protective plastic covers, in a cardboard box. I think he earned his fee with Oola as she’s a neurotic nut, and for the incredible photos with photoshop that made them just perfect.
This isn’t some rinky dink backyard photographer who took a JC class and now is doing portraits before he works up to weddings. Peter is an artist, a recognized photographer, and his work shows it. If you want a beautiful photo of your furbaby, go to Peter. He will truly make your dog shine.
