Sophie did all the flowers for my recent wedding at Mountain Terrace in Woodside. She did a fantastic job and was so wonderful to work with!
I had a vision of arrangements with a pop of color and a wildflower/​rustic look. She really listened and designed the flowers accordingly.
Sophie designed beautiful boutonnieres, bouquets and centerpieces as well as decorating the wooden arbor at our ceremony.
Sophie has a very personal approach to her work, we met several times at coffee shops to discuss my vision.
She was very helpful in the set up and take down of decorations for the wedding. I will definitely be recommending Sophie to all of my friends. Thanks again Sophie for all your hard work!

Sophie was very quick to respond to my requests. The bouquets she created for my grandma and mother for Mother’s day were a work of art. I look forward in returning to her when I need flowers. :)

Sophie created a beautiful heart-​felt bridal bouquet for my ceremony with matching boutonnières on very short notice and it was PERFECTION! She is an amazing floral artist and very easy to work with.

When I first communicated with Sophie we talked for a little bit and then realized we went to High School together ! So crazy. I had communicated with her over the phone and email a lot before we officially met in person (for our meeting about my flowers for my wedding). She knew right away what I wanted, simple yet elegant and definitely wanted some succulents in there as well :) I would highly recommend Sophie for anyone looking for a simple look for their wedding which is what we wanted! There were a few times there was some miscommunications but the final product was exactly what I wanted :) Everything looked beautiful!

Sophie is really sweet and made a lovely bouquet for my mom’s bday. I mentioned my mom’s favorite colors and style. Sophie incorporated everything that I asked for and made a beautiful hearty arrangement with freshly cut flowers that were in season :) thanks Sophie!

When I first met with Sophie to discuss about my wedding floral arrangements, I told her that I want to use some purple vegetables in my bouquet. It might be a crazy idea to some but it was very excited for me when Sophie said YES. The bouquet turned out to be exactly how I wanted. Sophie included one cabbage in my bouquet and accompanied by beautiful purple peonies. Other floral arrangement was nicely decorated. Many guests complimented on them.

Sophie did an amazing job for my wedding in Manhattan. Since she’s not a local florist in New York, she actually shipped all her flowers from San Francisco. It was an incredible amount of work and I could not be more pleased with the result! The flowers were beautiful. I ordered the the bouquets, the boutonnieres, the cocktail pieces and the centerpieces. Everything looked absolutely beautiful. She has an eye for beauty and she gracefully incorporated the color of my wedding and the venue into her design. I highly recommend her. And pictures speak for itself. Aren’t these beautiful!?!

Sophie’s flowers are awesome.
On Mother’s Day looking for gifts for my mom and admittedly knowing nothing about flowers, Sophie’s pop-​up shop caught my attention immediately with her beautiful and unique flower arrangements. I’ve passed by various flower shops before and most of them look to carry generic arrangements with the only difference being the store front, Sophie has her own style that really separates Petals from the rest of the crowd. She’s very passionate about what she does, and you would not be disappointed by her creativity in her products.

Sophie created the most beautiful florals for my wedding. During the planning process, I changed my mind quite a few times when inspiration struck, and Sophie was always receptive to my new ideas. We communicated frequently and the week of the wedding she texted me photos of potential flowers she saw at the flower market to see how I felt about them. One of my requests was that I have a large protea in my bouquet — the flower market did not have them but she managed to hunt one down from Hawaii all the same (and did not charge an additional fee for what I’m sure was extra cost). She also found mini grapes at the flower market which fit in perfectly with my vineyard venue.
When I saw the flowers on the day of I was completely blown away. I received countless compliments on how unique and beautiful the flowers were (esp. the protea). Every centerpiece was gone at the end of the night, and friends told me how much they enjoyed them after the wedding. Sophie’s prices are more than reasonable for the wedding floral industry, and she puts in a ton of time and really hard work to produce beautiful floral arrangments on par with the more expensive shops. I believe Sophie has a special gift and will go far — hire her while she is still «undiscovered»!

I ordered my bouquet and my husband’s boutonnière for our wedding about two months ago. Some challenges were that I am pretty allergic to most flowers; and I also supplied her with our color scheme but admittedly, not much to work with in terms of what flowers I liked because I am pretty much clueless when it comes to flowers (other than know I’m allergic!). Given this, Sophie researched a selection of flowers with little to no pollen content that were in the parameters of our décor. Additionally, she met with me at the SF Flowermart so that I could see the contenders in person — which was a great experience! After this, I emailed her with that I liked best from our trip and gave her total creative freedom to do the rest. The result was a beautiful, vibrant, allergen-​free arrangement that we got so many compliments on!
Oh, also, Sophie was very pleasant to work with. She is working on my little sister’s wedding next!

Sophie is awesome! She has provided many an arrangement for our special occasions from Mother’s Day, Birthdays, to Teacher Appreciation gifts and the arrangements have always been beautiful.
She consulted with us on the types of arrangements and flowers we liked, and would come up with the most appropriate designs which were gorgeous.
She is creative and a great designer — we love her style. Most recently we put in an order for mini terrarium kits for my daughter’s 5^th garden fairy themed birthday party which the kids will be taking home as favors. We can’t wait.
Sophie is easy to work for and has reasonable prices to boot!

Sophie’s got a great eye for beautiful arrangements and there’s a wonderful sense of artistry in her work. I had just moved to the city not long ago and wasn’t sure what florist to choose for a bouquet for my grandmother’s birthday. Luckily, I remembered seeing some beautiful arrangements via Facebook by Petals by Sophie and decided to message her for a bouquet. I needed a quick turnaround at a reasonable price, and something more unique. She put together a gorgeous bouquet and also helped me get it in the car.

I got a Peony from her pop-​up event for Mother’s Day. The presentation looked nice. The purchase was quick and easy. She is friendly and not pushy.
My mother was pretty happy, so I guess she love the flower!

I had a good experience with Sophie that she helped me preparing a few bouquets when I proposed to my fiancée. She was able to design flowers beautifully for me and in a very short notice.
Sophie is a very passionate person and I can feel she enjoys what she is doing. She is also very responsible and always replies fast to my inquiries. I highly recommend her.

Sophie has a great way of incorporating the venue with her floral arrangements. I went to a friend’s bridal shower that she did and the flowers just brought out all the natural elements into the overall theme. It was breathtaking! (I even took a bouquet home because it was so beautiful and it accented my living room so beautifully.)
I also had an opportunity to make a terrarium with her. She is so pleasant and easy to work with and my terrarium is growing strong in my kitchen window :) I would definitely recommend her for floral arrangements. I wished I would have met her earlier because I would have totally recommended her to the two friends that have married since that event!

Awesome flower arrangements for very reasonable prices.
I’ve gotten a few arrangements from Sophie for different occasions (Mothers’ Day, Valentine… the usuals…), and every time, the arrangements and presentations are amazing. I haven’t really seen her style elsewhere before. I think it’s Sophie’s love and passion for her flowers that truly make her flowers special!
Further, I have also spoken with Sophie asking for her recommendations on the style, size, and type of flowers to get, and every time it has been spot-​on. My recipients all love her flowers.
Highly recommended place with high quality flowers!

When I jumped on board to help take care of decorations and details for my friend’s wedding, a bridesmaid (a former graphic artist) recommended Sophie as a TRUE artist, and we all crossed our fingers that Sophie would take on our last-​minute order (the bride moved her wedding date from 5 months away to only 2 weeks away!). We thought it might be a stretch considering the short notice might run into conflicts with Sophie’s schedule and because we had a teeny tiny budget. But hallelujah! Sophie graciously accepted the challenge.
We emailed her our date and budget, and she got back to us right away. This was the first sign that a) Sophie was extremely timely with her responses and b) it was the beginnings of a beautiful vendor relationship. We went back and forth almost daily: only a few times about details of the bouquet (since we left the true creativity to the expert, Sophie); mostly about arranging pick-​up of the flowers. Since the entire wedding was on a tight budget, I doubled as decorator and flower delivery driver. But since I had still planned to go to work in the morning and needed to hurry to the wedding venue to set-​up decorations and such, there was a small window to pick-​up the delicate flowers that might wilt or die if the timing wasn’t well planned.
Sophie was super flexible arranging a pick-​up time, even contacting me last-​minute when her schedule changed and allowed her to be available in the time window that was better for me. She was truly a joy to work with… AND THEN THE FLOWERS! Wow. Seriously wow. I’m SO glad we left the decision-​making up to her: we gave her a color palette and tried to describe the bride’s personality, but the rest we left to Sophie. My jaw dropped when I picked up the flowers. She created a bridal bouquet, two whimsically cute and (almost) wedding-​stealing bridesmaids arrangements from allium, a groom’s boutonnière and two groomsmen’s boutonnieres for $ 260. Needless to say, it was an insane value for what we got. As soon as I saw the flowers, I started scheming in my mind the next occasion I could possibly order flowers from her again… birthday, mother’s day, etc? I can’t wait to recommend Sophie to any and all of my friends who will get married in the Bay Area… now if only my friends would hurry up and get engaged already. :P

She bails!!! Becareful. One month before my sisters wedding she decides to get a summer job and drop our contract (oh sorry not contract verbal agreement) !!! Unnecessary stress. Keep your commitments lady or you wont make it in this world. Thanks for nothing.
Make it up to my sister and maybe i’ll consider removing this post, but until then, people deserve to know that your life is unstable and your business is just a hobbie.

Sophie did a large arrangement for my daughter’s wedding banquet. It was stunning and really made an impact. It radiated good energy and creativity. I highly recommend her. She really has an artist’s eye.
