Perfection 3D Eyebrows

I have been stalking her on Unilocal for almost a year now, because I wanted to make sure I chose the best in the area before tattooing something on my face. I had my appointment yesterday and Amy was such a delight to work with. Her perfectionistic ways definitely showed in the time she took making sure my eyebrows were drawn in correctly prior to beginning the procedure. She constantly checked for symmetry and made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole thing. She understood what I wanted and made sure to deliver. If you are not sure if you should go for her-​trust me SHES THE BEST.

My had my eyebrows tattooed 6 years ago by another artist. The color is now faded and the brows are out of shape. I am unhappy with them until I found Amy. Amy is so sweet, she spends lots of time correcting the shape and color until we both are happy with the results. Thank you so much for your time and patience, Amy!

The only reason is I been calling to get my 1 month follow up and I get no call back. I guess Amy got the upper hand on me. This is sad because my rating and comments was good and she just left me hanging. I need the follow up touch up and now I have to be left out to dry.
I will be contacting the BBB. Amy I thought you were a perfectionist and very clean operation, but the money I paid for the initial consult was steep but needed a follow up and you have dropped the ball. Not cool. BEWARE

I had some radiation therapy in 2011 due to a brain tumor which took a lot of my hair in front and my eyebrows. So i really needed to have my eyebrows drawn. I had my eyebrows done a long time ago by another place and I was not pleased with the results. I did a little bit of research and I found Amy. She is very professional and she is such a wonderful artist. She did my eyebrows on March 21 and it is now May 17 and my brows still look really good. I made another appointment with her for some touch-​up even though it does not look like i need it. I just want to make sure that my eyebrows look as good as they do now. I recommend Amy for any of your permanent makeup needs. To me the $ 400 paid for these brows is so worth it. Bring cash. She only deals in cash unless you are willing to accept extra charges to use a credit card.

I like the shape, but the right side is a little bit longer that the left side. Some areas are no color now. I hope Amy will fix it when I do the touch up. The color is a bit lighter than I was expect. By the way, it was painful during the procedure… And Amy is a nice person. She spent two hours on my eyebrows.

I went to Amy today to get my eyebrows tattooed after having them done about 3 years ago at a different location. She was amazing. Her location is very clean felt very comfortable and relaxing. She took her time to help me find a shape I wanted while correcting my eyebrow asymmetry. She really is a perfectionist and will take her time to make sure you are happy with the eyebrow shape. She advised me on a color that best suits me and what my goals were for my brows and I couldn’t be happier with the results! Thank you so much Amy for your hard work! I am looking forward to taking good care of my brows and coming back for a touch up when I am able to. Recommend Amy to everyone!!!

Amy was fantastic — it bums me out to see the 1 star reviews people give her over petty stuff. I had a pleasant experience today and knew what to expect because I read the information provided on her website. Amys shop was very sterile and private — I thought it was great for a one-​woman ran business. We spent about an hour doing preparation. I showed Amy photos of what I liked, I asked her opinions, and she drew the brows until we were happy, making sure they were symmetrical. She applied numbing ointment before we began, which I needed more of throughout. It was still painful, but nothing intolerable. Beauty really is pain sometimes :) I was sneezing like crazy because of that sensitive nerve that travels down your face and behind your brow — which is totally normal (and laughable). The tattooing itself probably only lasted 30 – 40 min of the 2 hour appt. Her next client arrived early but she still took her time with me and never felt rushed. I have to say she is very honest and a perfectionist, which is exactly what you want from someone working on your face. My friends and sisters are so impressed I know they’ll be coming to Amy too. I’m so happy to have a more low maintenance routine and to be able to wake up like this. Thank you Amy!

I can’t even think of ALL the words to describe what fabulous service Amy provides! I went to her to get my eyebrows done. She allotted 3 hours for my appt. She wanted to be sure she drew it in precisely to my liking. She made her recommendations but listened to exactly what I asked for and I got what I wanted. She recommends a touch up within 3 months. I could have gone without but I went in after 2 months and my eyebrows look A-​mazing! !! I ALWAYS get compliments and appreciate the awe when I say it’s permenant make up. I’ve gone back for eyeliner on my upper lid and am definitely going back for liner under my eyes. I find myself staring at how even and exact my liner and the small wings are. HURRY. Amy is talking about slowing down.
Can’t thank you enough Amy… it shaves tons of time from getting ready in the morning… I wake up looking made up and most importantly… I can rub my eyes and brow areas when my allergies kick in and don’t have to worry about smudge:)

I hate to be the one that leaves negative feedback but need to be honest about Amy. I got my eyebrows done with her a few years ago and remember leaving incredibly upset about her work. I figured I needed a cool off period before leaving a snap review, since typically fresh eyebrow tattoos take some time to heal and can look different afterwards. Also, you’ll notice that Amy will argue with every negative review instead of trying to make the situation right by her customers. I’m usually of the opinion that if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say it. But I thought a cautionary review was necessary for other women to know what they’re getting into. Mistake #1 — Amy has one very specific eyebrow style that she seems to use on everyone. She measures from the outside of your nose for where the inner corner of your brows begin, traces the outside of your iris to your brow for where the arch hits, and lines up the end of your brow to the outer corner of your eye. The end result is always thin, high brows with a high arch. Great, if that’s the look you’re going for. Some people like that style (in fact, you’ll notice her most positive reviewers go for that specific brow style). The problem arises if you ask for any other eyebrow style, she becomes inflexible and won’t take suggestions. When I gently tried to suggest a more natural look (thicker brow with a less extreme arch), she became harsh, pushy and shut me down like I didn’t know what I was talking about. This was not my first time getting my eyebrows done — I’ve been to incredibly talented Korean women who do higher quality eyebrow embroidery for less money than Amy. They take into account your face shape, bone structure, and what you’re trying to achieve stylistically. My case shouldn’t have been difficult, since I had eyebrow embroidery done before and the basic shape was still visible but slightly faded, so I simply asked that she follow the original shape but darken it. Mistake #2 — do not go to Amy for brow correction. She uses the same technique as when she’s doing a new brow and doesn’t accommodate for a pre-​existing tattoo. I should have walked out the moment she started drawing sharpie brows on my face in a completely different shape and became argumentative when I tried to correct her — after all, this is a tattoo on your face and you can’t erase it, so you should have complete confidence in the work being done. She insisted the shape she drew was my eyebrow shape, insinuated that I must be delusional, and the only reason why it looked unnatural was because she pencils in her guidelines dark but the tattoo won’t look like that. Like an idiot, I let her go ahead with the tattoo gun. I will never forget the look on her face when she finishes up, takes a step back to look at her work and says, «Oh… that IS dark.» I want to be clear that even she acknowledged for a moment that she made a mistake and went too dark. How was she not checking this while doing the work? How did she only notice when it was too late to do anything about it? You cannot make these mistakes when you’re doing a TATTOO on someone’s FACE. Especially when I had already voiced my concern about them not being too dark, and she had reassured me that they wouldn’t be! Then when I became visibly upset, she tried to convince me to pay for the touch up to make it look better later (which by the way, is usually included in the service with other places that do eyebrow embroidery) but there was no way I was going to come back to her and risk her screwing them up more. At that point, it’s not like a second round with a tattoo gun could make them lighter. I was so upset that I paid her and left immediately and didn’t even notice till I got to my car that not only was it too dark, and a completely unnatural shape (a friend I saw later said my eyebrows looked angry — not kidding), but she hadn’t even done them evenly! One brow was literally tattooed on lower than the other and full of empty spots that I now have to fill in every day with a brow pencil. Since then, I’ve given it few years to heal and fade, but she tattooed so deep into the skin that the depth of color has lasted much longer than semi-​permanent tattooing typically does. As another review mentioned, in about a year the color turns out to be that old school blue gray, instead of a natural brown/​black. The reason I haven’t given her the lowest rating possible is because you may very well be the perfect candidate for Amy’s work. If you haven’t gotten your brows done before, and if you like a thin brow with a high arch, you may end up loving her work. Unfortunately this wasn’t the case with me, and if I’m being honest, I regret going to her so I will not be coming back.

I just finished my appt with Amy and she is absolutely amyyyyyzing! I am confident to let her use my face as her canvas. Describing her as a perfectionist is an understatement. She’s extremely meticulous and spends more than enough time simply just drafting your eyebrows your liking before taking any tools to them.
Brief history: I first had my eyebrows done with permanent make up in 2007 at Venus Permanent makeup for more than $ 500! As a second year college student, the price was a bit steep for the results and the PAIN that came with it. I didn’t get my eyebrows redone again until 2014 with Amy, who I found on Unilocal.After much research I decided to take my business to Amy, as she was nearby with ample parking, had stellar reviews, and more than fair prices. She’s a little quiet but that’s because a lot of her focus and attention is toward her work, which I appreciate. Her English isn’t the best. But she can understand it as well as I understand her Cantonese. (She speaks to me in her mother tongue as I respond in English.)
8 months ago, I made the mistake of going to another place to get my eyebrows done in San Jose, only because a friend lived down that way and wanted me to get them done with her as it was her first time. The results were mediocre, and unnatural looking. The appt was very quick. a lot quicker than what I was used to with Amy, who spends time adding strokes after strokes to make sure it’s perfect to her and her clients’ standard.
When I called Amy last week explaining that I wanted to see her and that I was unhappy with the previous place I went to, she was concerned she might need to do a correction procedure. After reading her policies on her website, I was expecting her to charge me $ 400, since I got them done at another place within the past year. However, she was extremely sweet and only charged me $ 280, which is the 2 year touch up cost! She did a miraculous job and I am reallyyyy happy with the results. She really does know what she is doing and I trust that she knows what type of eyebrows looks the best on various face shapes.
From this day forward, I will ONLY seek Amy for any permanent makeup work. I will definitely be getting my eyelids done with her as well, once I save up enough :) !! Thank you, Amy!!! I will see you again very soon!

I’m going to try to be as fair as I can in my feedback. I had my first appointment with Amy in October 2015. I chose her among other professionals because of the excellent reviews on Unilocal and because she is one of the few people who does 3d eyebrows tattoos in San Francisco. I was also fascinated by the photos she uploaded, however be careful, because they deceptively suggest that those are the results you get in just one session. Maybe I was too naïve to believe that (first time I tattoo my eyebrows), but after reading other people’s reviews, I see that I’m not the only one to have fallen for it. So, for those who are planning to have their eyebrows 3d tattooed, keep in mind that the pictures are taken right after the procedure and resemble very little what happens one or two weeks later, when the pigmentation has flaked off. I had asked Amy to fill in my sparse eyebrows and give them a clearer shape. Although she did give them some shape, the results were barely visible after a couple of weeks (aprox. 70% of the tattoo was gone and had turned into a grayish color!!!). I was so disappointed, after paying $ 400, to still have to fill in my eyebrows every morning with a pencil. I called her and left her a voicemail explaining this and asked for a touch-​up appointment, which she had advised me to do within the next three months after the first procedure (without mentioning its price). In the meantime, surprisingly enough, some of the color that had faded away eventually came back to life 2 months later? Instead of 70%, it seemed that now only 50% (well, «only») of the tattoo had faded away. So be patient during the first month or two because the color of the tattoo can still change but don’t expect to get the results you see in the pictures! Yesterday I went for the follow up session and these are the conclusions I draw from both experiences:
— During the procedure, I agree that Amy showed a strong dedication to her work. She put a lot of efforts and time in drawing my eyebrows both times. She was receptive to my wishes and preferences but for some reason insisted a few times that I needed black ink for my eyebrows, despite my efforts to show her that my hair is chestnut brown… A part from that, she is knowledgeable and. yes, very perfectionist! This is why she gets the three stars.
However, I would never give her 5 stars for the following reason:
— When it comes to money, Amy is particularly manipulative and dishonest and that is something that clashes quite a bit with my swiss upbringing! When I was about to make the payment the first time, she said I would have to pay the $ 400 in cash, otherwise she would have to charge me $ 15 for the transaction. Who carries $ 400 in cash?! I asked her why she never mentioned this to me before our appointment, neither the day I called to schedule the appointment nor the day before our appointment when she called to remind me of it. She then changed her mind and said she would charge me $ 10 instead and began acting in an apologetic manner. I started feeling confused and told her that I had no problem paying for her work but that I didn’t want to be charged for an unnecessary transaction, and added that it was ok, that I would go to the nearest Wells Fargo (15 minutes away walking -.-) to withdraw some money and come back to make the payment (which of course, I did, but now I think I should have ran away!!! ;)). The second time, again, I was surprised to find out the the touch-​up session was not included in the $ 400! Not only she NEVER mentioned a word about it during the first session and the three following phone calls before the second appointment (she had quite a few opportunities to do so.), but I’m pretty sure she purposely tried to insinuate it was part of the deal.
I don’t think I’ll return to her.

I did a bit of research online before selecting Perfection 3D Eyebrows. I absolutely love what Amy did. The longest part of the process was selecting the perfect shape for my face. Amy really took her time and made sure I was happy with the shape before she got started. Highly recommended :)

I went to Amy this passed for my eyebrow tatooinng. I chose her due to great reviews and her portfolios pictures. She kept on telling me to relax my face over and over. I told her my face is relaxed. She didn’t ask me if I wanted thin or thick eyebrows. She just started drawing and I told her if she could not make them thick. But she drew them anyway. I told her if she could do less of a thick eyebrow and she did. They were great! So we proceeded and she said she could do it. After my session I liked in the mirror and wanted to cry! I felt so botched. one eyebrow longer than the other. Not to mention my right eyebrow higher than the other! When I told her this she seemed upset and replied to me «You don’t know what beautiful is» She tried to adjust it but was unsuccessful. Then she told me it’s already five thirty it’s late «Will fix next time, one month touch up ok»
I start a new job in less than 2 weeks and I look like freaking Groucho. Marx. Extremely upset and I hate the way I look. Money down the drain, not to mention the cost of having them Lazer removed. She didn’t even care, all she kept on saying was it’s late, next time. Will not come to her again and will not recommend her either! I drove 2 hours just so I could look like a fool. am so upset.

This is not a review for the services. Unfortunately I never got the pleasure of having anything done.
Let me start off by letting you know what happened. I had an appointment today with Amy at 2:30 for a 3D eyebrow tattoo. I texted her first thing in the morning that I had a family emergency-​my nephew was just born and was immediately taken for surgery. He was born 3weeks premature and his esophagus was closed. Needless to say emergency surgery was eminent. I texted Amy asking to come in late or to reschedule any time for tomorrow. I explained the situation in its entirety. I texted her at 11:28, the minute I got off the phone with my family. Amy did not reply for 2 hours. When she did she told me I could come in a little late. I explained I was facing a life threatening situation with a family member and to please pardon my extenuating circumstances and to allow me to come in tomorrow to make up for my appointment. Amy replied that I took up a two hour spot and she would charge me for the appointment since she couldn’t offer services to any one else. I was appalled. I explained that if given the choice between my family member in a life threatening situation and keeping an appointment, I was sorry but I was choosing my family. She explained that she was charging me for the appointment and then said she would be able to see me tomorrow (so she was going to charge me twice). I explained that I had an emergency come up and to please consider the extenuating circumstances, apologized for creating any financial hardship and explained it was my every intention to see her (reschedule the appointment).
She told me she was busy working and would get back to me later, which puzzled be considering she just told me she was charging me for the appointment I had to reschedule because she just lost out on two hours of work. Here she was contradicting herself. Which one was it? Did she lose business because of my missed appointment or was she busy working?
A few hours later she texted me that she was not charging me. When I asked if I could still reschedule, since she said I could see her tomorrow, she told me she was very busy and would text me if she had any cancellations.
I am letting everyone know this because although I can’t speak for her work, her attitude regarding money is extremely telling. She was angry and unsympathetic to the fact that my baby nephew was in serious critical decision and would in fact may not make it. She was only concerned she was not getting her money for my missed appointment. After I continued begging her to understand my situation she finally agreed to not charge me. However her lack of rescheduling me was telling as it shows not only how petty this woman is, but also dishonest as well. Why offer an appointment the next day? Only because she thought she was getting paid twice for one service but then after deciding the right thing to do was not charge me for my missed appointment due to a family emergency because it was just bad business, she all of the sudden became unavailable the next day, which was untrue as she said so just a bit earlier.
If any of you want to give business to someone with a poor moral compass and is money hungry then by all means please do so. However please recognize what type of person you are doing business with. i
*Amy, I don’t understand what you don’t get about what an emergency situation is. I think it’s in pretty poor taste to reply to my review and continue going on about your cancellation policy. Let me ask you– do you think I could have EVER ANTICIPATED that this was going to happen and thus adhere to your 48 hour cancellation policy? And if not how could I give you adequate warning that I needed to cancel? This was an emergency situation. My nephew was born not only premature but was rushed into surgery. What don’t you get about that? Why keep going on about your fee? This is just making you look worse. And if I were you just stop while you are ahead. Because anyone when faced in that type of situation would hope that anyone could sympathize with the situation. If you don’t want me to file a complaint with the BBB please stop with the predatory reply regarding your cancellation fee. I texted you last night after YOU texted me saying, «[…]my be l can see you very late, if you really need […]». I replied and said I didn’t want to inconvenience you more than I already had and asked what your schedule was like M-​W. You NEVER replied. All I was trying to do was make it up to you because of what happened Saturday, but in true fashion you said one thing and didn’t follow through.

Amy is an artist and a perfectionist. You will not get half a**ed job here. She offers professional recommendations on the style and color while taking your preferences into consideration and does a superb job on the permanent makeup. I had my eyebrows done today and the result is better than I hoped. Her English is not perfect but she has tons of experience and knows her arts well so be patient and its all worth it! The shop is clean and she shows you the packaged new needless. I will post healed photos once they get there.

Amy is extremely patient and meticulous: she drew my eyebrows in several times until she was satisfied with the result, which took about an hour! She also is very gentle with the needle, making the whole process close to painless!

Amy is, AMY-​zing (basically, amazing)!!! This is my second time working with her, it’s been about 2.5 years since I had the brows done. Lack of funds and I live all the way in Bay Point she is willing to work with my schedule. She is so accommodating and the place is spotless and clean! Since my very first time, 2.5 years ago, I filled in some spots that where sparse, but her work lasts very long, as long as u take care of it! Amy is also a perfectionist, I love how she takes her time and makes sure you are happy. Also, as far as the pain, minimal, she uses a numby jelly and works fine. I only trust her. Now I can wake up and go on with life! Thank you Amy, by the way I had a lot of compliments at my zumba class, expect my students to see u!

I absolutely love my eyebrows. Any is amazing at what she does. They look natural just like i requested. Its only the 2^nd day but i will come back and update you of my progress. Amy took her time to get the right eyebrow shape for me, and to explain everything throughly.

4 ½ months later I’m still happy! Just make sure if your darker complexion you use sun screen SPF 50+for the summer. It feels good to get up and GO!

Don’t fall for the hype. I had my eyebrows tattooed here despite the handful of negative reviews because I felt that the positive reviews far outweighed the negative, but boy was I wrong. I think the reason there are only a handful of negative review is because people, myself included, who had bad experiences don’t want to look like fools for paying $ 800 for eyebrows and eyeliner that they still have to draw on.
First, the pics on her website are right after she does the first inking so the detailed lines are clear and will sell you on her process but what she doesn’t show you are how they look like that following week when they have all flaked off. I of course went back to get a retouch as soon as I could because I wanted to obtain the look from the first day, well that and to straighten out the eyebrow that was shorter than the other (which she claimed to be my face, not the eyebrow :/​) but what I ended up with was nowhere near.
So instead of going back giving her hundreds more of my dollars, I’ll be going to someone a little old lady referred me to. Her eyebrows were what the youngsters call «on fleek» and she only paid $ 75! Oh and she had her tattooed over 3 yrs. ago! Man I got screwed!
Oh and did I mention that my black eyeliner came out silver/​grey, so everyone thinks I’m wearing silver liner on my lids. Sigh… Save your money.
