This location was the one Payless I always overlooked Cuz us Bernal/Noe residents usually overspend on such things. But remember to «Never leave a rock unturned». Nearly 1 year ago when I started consistently working & going to college whilst being an SF trotter/shopper, I realized that shoes had to be apart of my usual budget more out of necessity & less than out of appearance.(Duh! Growing up means working hard for $$, grades, & fitness!) I noticed that most of my shoes were worn out from daily usage. Of course I needed someplace affordable & nearby so I can support the local economy, walk to & from home, & if any issue arose be close. Low & behold Payless now has better quality shoes than before! They’ve name brands at affordable prices & if you sign up for their emails, you can combine coupons too! Also the receipt survey knocks off at least $ 3 of any purchase of $ 10+ pretax future purchase. Also the staff are super helpful & friendly. They take phone call holds & etc. The only downside is since this is a small shop, they do sell out fast on some models & don’t have the ballerina/professional dancer gear. For the price of an AMCIMAX movie pass, I was able to buy a new pair of Champion sneakers that won’t injure me!

Pretty small selection, but that’s not the reason why I only give 1 star to this store. Customer service … Not really existing! I went in there and the guy behind the counter was on his cellphone when I walked in and didn’t even put it away to ring me up. I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re into great customer service!
