Paw Pal Dog Walking SF

When I moved here from the Midwest, one of my biggest concerns was finding a reliable, affordable, and CARING dog walker and boarder. I have a year old 8lb shihtzu/​yorkie mix. I work long hours and I travel internationally at least once a month. Being in a new city with few people to turn to in the event of an emergency, it is not a comfortable feeling when you are leaving your furball behind and traveling out of the country.
I was referred to Paw Pal by my leasing office, and I have to say I Paw Pal has been AMAZING — from the level of professional service and attention to my dog to the flexibility and personalized care of the dog walker (Donna). I have been here for 6+ months now and Paw Pal/​Donna has been amazing. Donna is reliable and I never worry about Jax on walks or if he stays with her for over a week while I am traveling internationally.
She sends photos, updates, and let’s me know if there is anything I should know about my paw pal, Jax. I know my dog and I know he is in the best care with Paw Pals. Jax jumps at joy whenever Donna is around — he is in the best of hands and I could not be more pleased with the service and attention he gets when I cannot be there for him. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED — from one dog parent to all the dog parents in Unilocal world.

Donna has been my dog walker since my move back to SF for a year now and I cannot express how amazing she is. My dog, Romeo, loves Donna — Romeo can somehow sniff or hear her around the corner and will bolt towards her with me chasing after him! Donna is also extremely sweet and thoughtful — she’ll occasionally leave gifts for Romeo and even me! More importantly, since I commute to Palo Alto for work, Donna is extremely flexible and will sometimes provide Romeo an extra walk if I’m still tied up at work late and/​or out on the weekends. Further, she knows which 1 – 2 other dogs are good walking buddies for Romeo to socialize with and will sometimes even give him solo walks and extra attention if he’s having a bad day. As a dog parent, it is so hard to find someone you can trust that will love your dog as much as you do — Romeo and I are so lucky to have found Donna.

Donna is the best dog walker you could ever dream of. I am not exaggerating. Our 7 pound Jack Russell — Chihuahua mix loves Donna just about as much as he loves his mommies! Donna walks dogs in very small packs, or solo, so we are always assured that our little guy is getting the most attention as possible. You don’t always get this guarantee with other dog walking services in San Francisco, that stuff dogs in large packs in the back of a car.
Donna goes above and beyond for our little guy on a daily basis. From just because presents, to last-​minute overnight boarding, to caring for our little guy after a really big injury… Donna is an integral part of our pack and I couldn’t imagine juggling work and dog parenting without her.
I honestly can’t say enough about Paw Pal Dog Walking SF. We get daily pictures and updates while our guy is on his walk and Donna is always flexible and understanding with our schedule. HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!!!

Donna takes my 7-​lb shihtzu/​poodle mix for a 45-​min walk 4x a week. My dog loves her and gets very excited when she hears her coming down the hallway. After the walk, Donna texts me with photos from the walk. She is also very responsive and willing to help out w/​last min walks, etc. Overall, we’ve been very pleased with her service. We’ve been with Donna for a year and we highly recommend her.

My husband and I adopted a rescue from Taiwan in May. Since Rocco is Chow/​Golden Retriever/​Formosan Mountain dog, the rescue agency indicated that we should make sure he was properly socialized with other dogs. Apparently, Chows can be more isolated. I looked up dog walkers in my condominium and Donna Lucas was suggested. I called her that day, she was very responsive, and the rest is history! Donna has been taking out Rocco every day since. Rocco and I are so lucky.
Donna is upbeat, «reads» Rocco well, and knows how to get the best out of him. She even coaxes him outside when it’s raining and knows the way to his heart is his stomach (can you say «treats?»). On my end, she’ll text me if she’s going to arrive earlier or later than usual. I always feel informed and I truly appreciate that. I recommend Donna and Paw Pal Dog Walking without reservation

Paw Pal is amaaaaazing! I have two furry pug sons… correction, two furry SENIOR pug sons. My senior boys are not sporting dogs who need (or want) to run 5 miles a day, hike up the side of mountain, or frolic in the Pacific Ocean. Watson and Maurice love nice sunny walks, socializing with neighborhood buddies, and discovering new scents. Paw Pal to the rescue!
Our pug whisperer/​walker Donna truly understands the level of exertion appropriate for Watson and Maurice, and she adjusts their routine accordingly. She makes sure they get the right level of exercise, opportunities to socialize with other dogs, and (most importantly) attention and love. I love that she sends me pics of the boys on their daily adventures so I know they are doing okay. It helps the whole guilty working mom thing. Paw Pal does not (and will not) take the boys out with a dozen other dogs in some awful attempt to make more money. Paw Pal genuinely loves and cares for these great animals, and treats them with the respect they deserve.
The icing on top is that Donna is very reliable, and I’ve never had a problem with scheduling. I’ve heard of other dog walkers who just don’t show up and/​or cancel at the last minute. This has NEVER happened with Paw Pal.
Only the most trusted people are permitted to care for my furry pug sons and Donna comes through like a champ. Thank you Donna and thank you Paw Pal!

As a first time dog-​owner, I was admittedly a little overwhelmed when the time came to find a reliable (and affordable!) dog-​walker. I ran across Paw Pal and decided to give them a try. We did a meet and greet and Donna (walker and owner) was was so detailed and thorough in explaining all the services and packages they provide. She even offered to swing by my apartment in the evenings in case I ever got stuck late at work… which hopefully is something I’ll never have to take her up on! But it’s comforting to know that’s there. I’ve been w Paw Pal for nearly 2 months now and I have been very pleased with their friendliness, flexibility, and professionalism!

Donna and Kathleen are THE BEST! They have taken my very excited, high-​energy goldendoodle puppy, DIxie, for walks, full day outings and even extended overnight stays for several months now! Dixie is so happy when they arrive to pick her up and she is happy upon returning.
I was recently traveling for 10 days when I called Paw Pals to keep DIxie the entire time. No problem. I knew she would get extra TLC in the comfort of their home! Donna sent me daily updates, photos, and videos of Dixie on walks, puppy play dates, and even just chillin’ out with a new chew toy that they bought for her! I never had to worry.

You could not find a more responsible person than Donna to walk your dog and keep the little pooch happy. My dog does the happy dance every time she comes! Donna is a true animal lover and she takes extra care to make sure my dog gets exercise appropriate for her advanced age, while giving her special treats and lots of attention. I have left my pooch with her for pet sitting as well and feel totally confident that she will get the best care and be part of the family. A home away from home, and it gives me such peace of mind. Donna will make sure she keeps in communication with you, gives you updates and lets you know how your pooch is doing or if there are any concerns. I never worry about her forgetting a dog walk day, which has happened with other dog walkers, and feel totally comfortable having her pick up from my house when I’m not there.
