I specialize in portraits, events photography (weddings, bar/​bat mitzvahs, corporate conferences, etc.), performance (plays, concerts), artwork and landscapes/​cityscapes.

If you’re looking to dress up your business’s lobby, your office or home, I shoot lots of photographs of the city in panorama. I have hundreds of stock images and can shoot on demand/​commission for a reasonable price.

Candid portraits or head shots, with digital files turned around in 24 to 48 hours starting at $ 150 within the San Francisco city limits.

My hours are by appointment only.

History

Established in 2010.

I have worked in photography for the better part of the last thirty years and a freelancer for just as long. I supervised a photographic unit at Michigan State University, serving as one of its on-​site/​studio photographers as well. I moved to San Francisco in January of 2010 and am attempting to establish a local clientèle.

While as a kid I wanted to take pictures whenever my mom got the camera out, I came in to photography a bit through the side door, getting a degree in Visual Communications only after initially majoring in journalism. I have been freelancing since 1980 or so, but didn’t develop a deep passion for photography until the early 1990s. In 1994, I had a photo show (a series of portraits of local visual artists) at the Lansing Art Gallery. About five years ago, after having lost the interest in photography for about ten years, I rediscovered my love for it .

I have always liked shooting portraits but I also have enjoyed the interactions with people while photographing events, whether they be weddings or bar/​bat mitzvahs, corporate events or conferences. In the last few years, I have come to love panoramas, thanks to the ease by which the digital technology allows for image stitching. Some are grand in scale; some not so much.

I look for grandeur in even the smallest things.
