Pati Dubroff’ – Christian Dior Makeup Session

*hint hint* if you ever E-​V-​E-​R want to get me something, i will only accept dior and/​or l’occitane products… (note: SKIN products) nothing else. LOL… =D heck, i have to be picky, it’s my skin for crying out loud … not only do i go all out in pampering myself in doing facials but it’s definitely a necessity like a bimonthly pedicure…
earlier this morning, i had the opportunity to squeeze in a meeting with a client around 10 at union square for me to make it to this F-​A-​N-​T-​A-​S-​T-​I-​C christian dior event at saks fifth ave at 11AM.
for $ 50, you not only get to attend a make up session with a renowned makeup artist but you also get to apply that $ 50 in purchasing dior goodies, so you’re really not wasting $ 50 … i wish they’d have given away a small goodie bag though… i mean, c’mon, it’s saks … i hate to say this, but ive used dior products for quite awhiles now, and i’m honestly pretty content with it …

this was one heck of a fantastic, FANTASTIC, well organized event… of course, not to mention, my 2^nd favorite part were all the yummy treats you get to munch on… you get a choice of white wine, iced tea or sparkling water w/​these endless yummy hor’dourves in the back, as well …
pati dubroff is one of hollywood’s most sought after christian dior celebrity make up artists… her clientele varies throughout but some i can name on top of my head are: jennifer aniston, g. paltrow, sandra bullock, sharon stone and kate bosworth… her work appears regularly on vogue, elle and vanity fair, so you kno she’s known…
pati’s great … super knowledgable, super goofy and definitely one hell of a super duper trooper …
lol, if only you all knew … seriously … you just don’t even KNOW how much i was lookin forward to this event. i was literally squirming in my chair to get out of this client meeting, but luckily i managed to end the meeting, giving me enough cushion to attend this fabulous event… hahah … even though i’m somewhat competent in applying make up on my face, you can never go wrong in brushing up a few more skills, especially from a celeb artist …
so the event was pretty much laid out in a demonstrational fashion, where a model was sitting on a stool, with 2 flat tv screens on both sides, showing us how to apply make up step by step. afterwards, it was our turn to apply the make up on our face … pati’s assistants who are also certified dior makeup artists were broken up into each groups assisting each us, the client one on one, which was sooo useful … super patient!!!
J, my personal makeup coach, basically applied one side of my face and i was supposed to do it on the other …
let alone, overall — TOO MUCH FUN… what girl DOESNT LIKE MAKE UP? i’ve always loved makeup since i was 5 yrs old, always trying on my mom’s makeup, and/​or trying on her clothes and her high heels… but with all sorts of makeup from cleansing lotion to eye crème to mascara and such, this was definitely one of the best hands on makeup experience ever!
