History

Established in 2010.

Park Circa began as a simple idea for an app that we wanted to use ourselves. We were tired of endlessly circling the block, looking for street parking every time we went out to the visit a friend, go to a restaurant or go to work. We were tired of passing prime parking spaces in the form of empty, unused driveways. So we developed the app in the summer of 2010 and started talking to neighbors about the idea in January of 2011. A couple tweets later and all of San Francisco was excited about this whole new class of parking space that was previously untapped. People are now realizing how obvious it is to share unused resources, it just makes sense.

Business Owner

Chadwick Meyer is one of the Co-​Founders of Park Circa. Before Park Circa, he was Co-​Founder of Crate Media, where he was involved in the development and operation of Gutensite, a CMS design, programming and support ecosystem for the marketing needs of small business. Chad is married and is the father of 3 young children. Chad was born and grew up in Papua New Guinea and has a deep love for the outdoors, climbing, hiking, photography and world travel. He is also passionate about human rights, humanitarian, and environmental issues and naively believes we can make the world a better place.
