Came here with my boyfriend to get an expensive watch he had purchased elsewhere fitted. The owner and his technician colleague eagerly agreed to do the work for $ 20 — a bit pricey for the service but we agreed for the sake of convenience — big mistake. The shop is dingy (with the classic tacky 40% off everything! signs everywhere) and the jewelry is definitely not my aesthetic but alas, we figured it would be a straightforward ask and was on our way to Union Square. Without input from the «professional» we eyeballed that he needed about two links out, though it is always difficult to tell on your wrist until you start removing them.
What should have been a relatively quick and straightforward job took over a half an hour. The technician visibly struggled with the piece to the point where we were concerned he would damage or scratch it. He called the owner over a couple of times to discuss in hushed frantic tones, but whatever causing him so much difficulty was not communicated to us. In fairness, I will say the owner and his wife were otherwise talkative and pleasant while all of this was going on.
Finally, the technician gave my boyfriend back the watch, and upon trying it back on we realized he needed one of the links put back in. When we told the technician he got unexpectedly defiant and flat out refused, saying the work was too difficult and that because we had initially asked for the two links out we inexplicably had to live with it. Unbelievably, they made us still pay the $ 20 for the service, despite being unable to finish the job!!! I understand it would have been better if we knew exactly how many links to take out the first time around, but some trial and error is more or less par for the course at a FITTING. These links are specifically made to be interchangeable.
We left feeling completely ripped off and no further to a fitted watch than when we started. Would not recommend.

Bought a diamond eternity wedding ring here. Two stones have fallen out within a year and a half. The store happily fixes it for free but now that I don’t live near, it’s a pain.

What an amazing experience we had getting the wedding ring of my dreams for my 30th wedding anniversary. Meyer could not have been more accommodating and helpful. We were just looking but he gave us such an amazing deal my man could not pass it up. I’m definitely going back the next time I’m looking for jewelry. Such a friendly place.

I was passing by with my fiancé, the shiny rings in the window was so amazing to stop me and step inside, the great customer service was so amazing, we ended up buying our rings there, I will definitely go back there. Mr. Mayer was so great, patient and honest. He explains all different kinds of stones patiently. I had such a great fun time there.

I purchased my wife’s 1st ring here nearly 15 years ago. After years of use, the ring began to show some wear & tear. We returned on the anniversary of our engagement to have the ring looked at, Mayer was very good to us. He worked with me to change out the ring for a new setting. He was honest and gave me a fair price for the new upgraded setting. My wife is happy and loves her new ring. Here’s to another 15 years. Thank you Paris Jewelry.

I am absolutely in love with my double cushion cut halo featuring a round brilliant diamond center stone ring. After having gone to many jewelry stores all over the bay area, I was starting to feel discouraged. I knew I definitely wanted a double halo and I wanted it a certain style, but could not find it. The owners at Paris Jeweler we’re very accommodating, customizing my ring just the way I liked. I wanted the center stone to sit up extra high for a bold and dramatic look. My fiancé used the largest diamond in a cross necklace he has worn for 15 years for the center stone. They did an amazing job creating my stunning and sentimental engagement ring.

I absolutely have NEVER been treated poorer by a retail establishment. Meyer– the owner was so incredibly rude. He YELLED at me and told me to shut up which is not what a business owner should tell a paying customer. I sincerely wish my sig other had NOT purchased my diamond band from them at Christmas time when I was out of the country. I was SO surprised by the generous and romantic gift but this ring and jewelry store have been nothing but a nightmare of trouble and stress — Starting first with the diamonds falling out less than 2 weeks of wear. Meyer claimed my partner DID not buy the ring at his establishment but a receipt proved otherwise. From the get go he was suspicious. My partner purchased the ring from his wife and he told me she was very nice. I paid them to clean the ring and replace a diamond for the fourth time and POOF! the ring band snapped and a diamond fell out– AGAIN one week after they worked on it. I had the receipt from the money I paid them to clean it. Meyer told me it was a fake– when his own relative was in the store and was the one who waited on me. So frustrating. For Valentine’s Day my wonderfully sweet partner got me a plain rose gold band from a reputable jewelry company while the diamond band from Paris Jewelry sits in a drawer collecting dust because it is a piece of …

These guys are the best! They have great deals and will make pieces specifically to order. They always have great stones to choose from.
I went in the other day for a ring cleaning and Mayr helped me. Not only was he quick and polite, he showed me anniversary bands to would look great with my existing set.
I would highly recommend Paris Jewelry to all.

DO NOT GO HERE!!! This place is a SCAM!!! As a resident of SF, trust me when I advise you to AVOID THIS SHADY SHOP. I walked in because I HAD JUST MOVED HERE, and there was a huge sale apparently-​on the windows it said 40% off everything sale! So I saw a gold necklace with a tiny diamond and thought it was cute. I asked the price and the guy behind the counter said $ 850. So then I said no thanks, but with the new «sale» price it went down a few hundred and eventually to $ 350. The price kept changing and it made me think that he was pushing to see how much I would pay. Finally we came to an agreement on a price and I purchased. 2 months later, the gold necklace snapped-​it broke off! It was not fixable by adding a chain ring so it had to be melted and put together. So I got it fixed-​I went to the same Paris jewelry shop and the lady said it was $ 50 to fix it! Wasn’t it their mistake for selling me such a crappy piece of jewelry? I went to China town and got it done for $ 20. Now, two months later, the gold necklace broke in ANOTHER PLACE. I’m disgusted that I paid $ 350 for this piece of junk!!! And since I live here, I walk by this «shop» everyday on my way from work, and the «40% off everything sale» sign is up everyday!!! Do NOT TRUST THESE SHADY PEOPLE. Spend the money at a legitimate jewelry store. Tiffany’s is down the street. I really hope they go bankrupt and shut their crappy store down so hardworking residents of SF and tourists don’t get caught in their SCAM!!!

This is the old school kind of family owned jewelry shop. The three people working were all very nice. I found them looking for a place to have a watch sized. They helped me with that and did a good job. While I was waiting, I looked at their selection. They create their own designs and some of the most beautiful unique rings I have ever come across. I was not able to shop for myself because of finances, but will be back in the future to buy myself a one-​of-​a-​kind ring. Great place for that special and rare gift!

I just got the prettiest engagement ring ever! :) My fiancé and I picked it together after having visited Brilliant Earth, Brannan 888 and Lang’s. They also had lovely things but this was the one! I read previous reviews on how shady this shop is, but I think that’s not true — if you’ve been to the Middle East or Eastern Europe, this is the style of salespeople. They give you a price and you haggle. We haggled and got a good deal. And as for the guy who was outraged at buying a ring with inclusions it — learn about diamonds before you make such a big investment. I’m sure you wouldn’t go out and buy a car without doing some serious research before. Also, not everybody prefers inclusion free diamonds because it does add to the price significantly, so some will be happy to have a stone that has tiny flaws that cannot actually be seen but cost a lot less. Know what you are looking for, look at the certificate and negotiate. This is a good place for buying jewelry, I definitely recommend it.

Looking to purchase a 30th Wedding Anniversary ring for my wife. Paris Jewelry had a beautiful sapphire and diamond ring that caught my eye. Mayer was very helpful and cut me a good deal on the ring. He has a beautiful selection of rings, pearl necklaces, etc., and i would recommend the store to anyone looking for fine jewelry at a good price. Ty Paris Jewelry!

This place is kinda Shady. By chance I walked by while looking for a place to get my watch sized. I asked the man at the counter if they do this service, he asked to see the watch. I pulled it out and he immediately said $ 40 because it was a ‘difficult process’. I’ve seen watches get sized before and know that it only takes two seconds for the type of watch I toted. Furthermore, you only pay that much to size a Rolex not a staineless steel fashion accessory like the one I own. Some watch stores will even do it for free.
With that in mind I politely decline and turned to walk out. After the clerk realized I knew better he quickly replied «Wait how much did you pay for it?» I said «not much» and continued walking he then said «how about $ 35?» I continued walking.
I ending up getting my watched sized at Macys which was $ 14. I was hoping to find a place that did it for free but couldn’t find one. Nevertheless $ 14 is better than $ 40 or $ 35.
This place should be great for someone who likes to haggle. I bet a good haggler can get a great deal out of here. For me I’ve never honed this skill maybe one day I will but for now this place isn’t for me.
