Wasn’t there tonight(a Friday)! Don’t know if it is gone for good or just taking a vacation. I was a little sad… if anyone has more detailed info please share. Is still like to try!

Just go. The food is incredible, the help is friendly, and they have reasonable prices. Like others have said, no frills, you may share a table, but so what enjoy the festive atmosphere. I bring out of towners here not because Puerto Rican food is somehow local to SF, but because it is such a great and fun experience. Pork is killer, and love any dish with plantains.

For ~$ 15 a plate, this is the best meal for its value. If you like authentic Puerto Rican food, you will love this. Pernil Asado is a great entrée for your first time if you don’t know what to get. The meat is so tender and so well done. I’ve defaulted to the Camarrones which are cooked with a delicious creamy corn sauce. You have the option of choosing between white rice or Spanish rice(get this!) and white beans or red beans. Every entrée comes with amazing sweet plantains and a lightly dressed but flavorful salad. Keep in mind this is a pop up and is only available on weekends! It’s also cash only.

There are few good spots in the mission to get a solid meal without waiting an hour+ on a Friday night. This pop-up is tucked just enough away. The food is Parada 22 — one of my favorite restaurants. We walked in with a party of 8 and sat down in a few minutes. Everyone was shocked with our great luck. Food was awesome. Thank you for existing.

good, hearty Puerto Rican food. i had the pollo encebellado and found the chicken to be nicely done: crisp while still juicy. the chicken was paired with a nice sauce, and the fixings of rice and beans were solid in getting me nice and satiated. cocktails here were also pretty good; service was excellent. overall, pretty no frills, but has a warm laid-back environment and good food with a hits-the-spot quality.

SO good! Such an amazing hole in the wall place. The ambiance is very casual/diner setting and the price is pretty decent for so much food. I got the MOFONGODECAMARONES which is what our waiter recommend. Although looking at it now the menu online says ham and I don’t remember it saying that at the restaurant. .the waiter told me pork so maybe it was made differently. Regardless, it was amazing. All main dishes come with a side of red or white beans, white or spanish rice, salad, and plantains. Everything was delicious, and so much food. We also got the Sangria which I loved! I usually don’t love Sangria but this wasn’t too sweet, it was perfect. I would definitely recommend coming here.

Fried, bland, under spiced. You can tell these people are really skimping on the ingredients. The condiment that comes with their plantains and yucca tastes — for no reason I can understand– like Thousand Island dressing. The Cubano tastes like lunch meat. Not, like, the worst food of my life, but in this neighborhood, you can do so much better.

Pernil asado is so good!!! Closest thing to Dominican food you’re going to get in the Bay Area

I’ve been here twice. Hearty food and big portions. My first time trying Puerto Rican food, so I do not know what to compare it to. I love tostones forever! I liked their white beans(?). I also like their sangria. I will go here again. I recommend it to others too.

Ordering a plate of carnitas is always a bit of a risk. After all, it’s just a big plate of shredded meat. Well, this might be the most amazing plate of shredded meat I’ve eaten at a restaurant. It was actually both moist and tender, which is exactly what you want carnitas to be, except it’s usually dry and one huge clump of meat. The side salad was overdressed, but given the choice between and overdressed and underdressed salad, I’ll choose overdressed every day of the week. I mean, an underdressed salad is really just leaves… Anyway, I was pleased with my choice, but there were at least 3 other things I was eyeing on the menu, so you’d better believe I’ll be back to try something else. And with a big enough restaurant to be able to walk in at 7:30 on a Saturday night with no wait, I’m not sure I can find a real negative.

The food wasn’t. We ordered different chicken plates, one a fried chicken, and one chicken smothered in onions. The fried chicken was super ‘chewy’ :/and the smothered onion chicken was super bland.

This place was terrific. It was empty when we showed up at 6:30 with a group of 7 on a Saturday, and the entire middle section was still empty when we left two hours later. The bonus for us was we didn’t get rushed out as groups at popular places can be. I’m leaving out one star for the cash-only factor. If it’s above $ 10/person(and this is), they should take cards. I get that this is a pop up, but it seems regular enough to have a Unilocal page… Why not pick up a Square account, too? Or maybe do as gas stations do, and have separate cash/credit prices? That said, the food was great! I ordered the sautéed shrimp with this amazing creamy garlicky sauce that mixed well with the Spanish rice. I was full halfway through but couldn’t stop eating. Now I can’t get off the couch. The other winning meal at our table was the fried chicken. I also tried the beef encebellado, which was a little tough for my tastes. The sangria was also solid, and they don’t use ice so your glass, half or full pitcher is mostly sangria(and a bit of fruit). $ 5/glass or $ 25/pitcher. For a group of 6+ they added an 18% gratuity and our tab with drinks, entrees and a couple sides as appetizers worked out to around $ 35/person. Not bad at all for an awesome, filling meal.

This is what I call puertorican food! The sangria is a muscle relaxer! Lol Everytime that I visit this amazing place reminds me my beautiful island of Puerto Rico!

You know how difficult it is to drop in someplace in the Mission to get food on a Saturday night? Especially if you’re not looking for something super fancy or cheap — just a place with good food to sit down and chat with some friends. Good thing someone knew about the Parada 22 pop-up in Boogaloos. Last Saturday the place was practically empty and it was no problem getting a table for 8 of us. They seemed really happy to see us and we were happy to order a lot of stuff off their menu — starting with the yucca and plantain appetizers(all four of them) and a generous pitcher of sangria(12 glasses worth). I was too full to get a meal but just got sides of beans — both yummy. Everyone else seemed to really like their food. Portions are also generous and most only ate half and took the rest home. Finally, Parada 22 has provided me a reason to visit Boogaloo’s.

3.5 Dear Parada 22POP-UP, I’d rather have Puerto Rican Roasted Pork with rice, salad & plantains instead of Boogaloo’s hipster breakfasts. . ANYDAYOFTHEWEEK. (Not just Friday and Saturdays when you pop up.) HINT. HINT. Gracias, Amy C.

The food is delicious: the chicken was awesome, the salad was perfectly dressed, the sangria was sooo good. I usually don’t like beans, but I literally ate the whole bowl of red beans. We used up almost the whole bottle of that spicy/tangy sauce on the table and ended up buying one bottle to-go to use at home. My favorite Puerto Rican restaurant is Sol Food in San Rafael and now I know I don’t need to cross the bridge to get my fix. SOOGOOD. Also, service was awesome.

I haven’t reviewed anything in ages. HoweverI felt Parrada 22 merits a good review. So I’m Cuban/Panamianian, and know my comfort food pretty well. This place furfilled all my longings. I guess my search is over and I can stop driving over to el Sol in San Rafael for my yuca, mojo and maduro cravings. I had their shrimp in cream sauce and it was Delicioso! The hubs tried the Pernil and judging by his empty plate he was satisfied. I reccomend this place to anyone craving their food doused in some delicious Mojo(garlic, lemon, oil magic sauce). P.s this is reffered to a pop up. Not sure if that means it comes and goes :(.

Went to this place last night for dinner and left with a huge smile on my face! I love Latin food, especially authentic Latin food, and you don’t find that many authentic Puerto Rican restaurants around! Amazing entrees and pretty large portions for super cheap prices, the Sangria is too die for and the flan topped off an amazing meal! The service was super fast, and friendly, and the ambiance with salsa in the background was a ton of fun! I’ll definitely be back soon! Yummy!!!
