I had such a great experience working with Julie at Pacific Placement. From my very first introduction, I always got the sense everyone went out of their way to make me feel good about myself and make sure I was finding the right jobs for me. They took the time to match me with an amazing recruiter, Julie (she’s THE best!).
I cannot say enough great things about Julie. She always went the extra mile from helping me fine tune my resume, prep for interviews and provide much needed support throughout the entire interview process. She found me highly sought after job opportunities I would otherwise not have known about. If it were not for her and the additional support of Jane, I would not have been able to find such a great job working for an amazing company.
My only regret is that I wish I started working with Pacific Placement sooner! I was taken care of from the very beginning of the job search process all the way to the getting hired.

Regarding comment from Pacific Placement: Let’s get the story straight: Nowhere in either review did I complain about my former job. I had multiple competing offers at the time I accepted my former job so I did not need the job «very badly» as you put it. There is no vendetta against you; just one review from 2006 and an updated one from 2014. If you regard negative reviews as «vendettas», that’s your perception and paranoia. Oh, and btw, your profile picture needs to be turned around.

I highly recommend working with Julie! She is fantastic, and a very successful recruiter. Julie gave me great feedback when I met with her. Her feedback really helped me improve my interviewing skills and the impression I give when speaking.
She was always on top of it, looking for positions for me and working with me every step of the way. She is very thoughtful, and wants to find the right job that is the best fit.

In my experience, Julie is «full service» meaning that she was with me every step of the way. I never once felt like I was going into an interview without full knowledge of who I’m meeting with and what type of questions/​personality to expect. We spoke each night prior to an interview and went over every detail, down to what I was planning to wear! This is very rare, especially in a hot and competitive market. Most firms will connect with you mainly via email with basic info such as date/​time/​main contact/​address of where you’re interviewing, but Julie goes beyond that to make sure you’re 100% comfortable because she wants you to present your best self. She’s also super responsive and easy to get in touch with, too! Never once failed to call/​text/​email me with an update or just to check in :)
I know I couldn’t have gone through the process and even had a chance to meet with this firm if it wasn’t for her. She is excellent at matching your needs with the companies she works with and I’m confident that she’ll be able to help place you at your next dream job.

. I traveled from mountain view into the city and it was the biggest mistake ever. She said my resume doesn’t fit the job and gave me instructions to change some things.

I’ve been working with Pacific Placement Group since 2011. My initial experience working with Jane and her team was exemplary. PPG is definitely different from your average staffing agency. Jane and her team take their time to find their candidates the best opportunities that are best suited for their background and past experience. They also take the time to prep you for your interview, both over the phone and/​or in-​person. One thing that make PPG stand out from the rest of the staffing agencies is that Jane and her team make it a point to keep in touch with the people that they’ve worked with after placing them on a job.
I recently started my job search after taking a year off to care for my son who we lost to cancer, and Jane didn’t hesitate to help me in my search. She understood, and was very sympathetic of my situation and knew exactly what I was looking for in a position and company. Much like the first time I worked with Jane and team, I never have to «chase» them for any updates as I am constantly receiving emails and calls from them regarding the status of my application and interviews… I don’t think Jane sleeps after receiving emails from her in the middle of the night regarding my interview :)
I would recommend Jane and her team to any of my family and friends any time they need to find the best opportunities available that suits them. Jane is someone I would love to be working with for a very long time.

I first met Jane Groner as a young job applicant and have kept in touch with her for over 20+ years. She’s definitely one of those people whose effectiveness inspires you, so you never forget. Since she somehow got my last ACCURATE review removed — Jane is the most miserable, vile, cold human being I’ve had ever the displeasure of coming in contact with. I whole heartedly recommend Jane at Pacific Placement Group. Jane is a professional and a trooper, as well as tenacious (which is what you want in someone helping you find a job). She will respond to you day and night (another awesome trait) and continuously following up so you know she is engaged in the business. When Jane says she will do something you can take that to the bank. This type of integrity is rare and important. After our hour-​long «interview,» (Half of which was me filling out a completely mundane and outdated application. There was actually a spelling test involved. What.), I can safely say that Jane Groner was one of the least professional people I have ever met.
From the condescending remarks about my work experience («You’ll probably just be on an administrative track the rest of your life if you don’t start looking for jobs in tech») to the comments about my wardrobe («Ok, you can’t wear those shoes to an interview’ and ‘I hope these aren’t your interview clothes’), and to even go as far as to make notes about my heritage («Oh are you Jewish? You don’t look it. You look Irish»), I honestly don’t know where to start.
I was connected with Jane through another recruiter I had met through LinkedIn. He told me about an admin position that was open that paid $ 70k (~red flag~) and that she was the go-​to contact person for this. After a few emails, Jane and I set up a time to meet at her office. I should not have even bothered.
The job that supposedly paid $ 70k was brought up once by Jane, and after rifling through her assistant’s office, she said she couldn’t find the paperwork for it (I kind of knew it was bogus). Given the cluttered disarray her office was in (papers everywhere, several outdated glamour shots of her back in the day, her dog asleep on the floor), it was no surprise to me. As she was «improving» my resume, she was basically coming up with new job titles — ones that did not apply to the positions I had had, so I had to stop her right there. Jane was also extremely inquisitive (read:nosy) about what other recruiters I have worked with, what companies I have interviewed with, etc. I have worked with recruiters in the past (ones I purposely neglected to mention to her), and I have never been asked any of these questions.
She was still very clearly in the 90s mindset of the «corporate world,» even down to the operating system she was using and made it very clear that I had no idea what I was talking about. She suggested I work in telemarketing. Is that even still a thing?
Later on (how am I still here), Jane also mentioned to me an extremely confidential situation that was happening with a client she had placed in a company before. However, based on her story, the situation was more of a neglect on Jane’s part, but I digress. Because she assumed I was vaguely interested in what she had to say, she began to tell me more things like about her personal life (the interview stage had really come and gone by this point) and told me to wait for her so she could lock up the office. Uhh, sorry, no, I’ve wasted way too much of my evening with you already, so I walked out.
If you’re looking to be verbally assaulted and socially stereotyped in the first five minutes of an interview, then look no further — Jane Groner is the recruiter for you. But I still wouldn’t ask her to call an ambulance.

Having worked with multiple staffing agencies in downtown SF, I can say without a doubt that Pacific Placement is the best. They have reached out to me with multiple quality opportunities when no other agencies did. The folks there are great to work with and I am very confident in working with them.

I wasn’t planning on writing a review for Pacific Placement, but honestly I was really frustrated. Jane Groner kept sending me job descriptions where the salary range was $ 60−65k. I sent her an email the first time asking if she thinks that with my experience I could perhaps get $ 70k. She wrote back with a one worded response, «No.» Then I politely emailed her again asking if she could just try and send me out on interviews where the pay is higher. She wrote back saying that I had to be realistic and that if I kept aiming too high, I wouldn’t even get a job that pays $ 65k.
From that point on, I decided I was going to get a job on my own or through other agencies… and good thing that happened because I ended up landing a job that pays well OVER $ 70k. Don’t let recruiters limit you and tell you what you cannot get paid. Honestly, you know yourself better.

I really enjoyed working with Pacific Placement Group! Julie Biachi was my recruiter and she will be a friend for life! She is amazing and helped me so much throughout my job search. Jane, the owner, was so kind and helpful and made the experience wonderful, as well.
The communication and follow up from Julie was incredible! She made sure I was prepared for each interview and made sure that I had the information and details I needed for each company. I was originally introduced to Jane by another recruiting agency (California People Search). She is direct, helpful, and is extremely knowledgeable. Recruiters are often misunderstood– they work for their clients. They are looking to find a great fit between their clients and their network of candidates… whether you may be a good fit or not is actually up to the client’s preferences! The recruiter’s role is to filter and facilitate these meetings… at the end of the day, it is the client that decides who they want.
Jane completely understands what her clients are looking for, and will let you know if you are a good fit or not right away. She will not waste your time or give false hopes. You may receive feedback on your resume, appearance, interviewing mannerisms, thank-​you letters, and everything else in between. Any recruiter that takes the time to give any feedback (even if it may hurt) means that they are working in your best interest! Jane gave me personal feedback throughout the way, which allowed me to be the best candidate I could be. She is prompt and has an amazing sense of urgency. I appreciated that she was simultaneously sending out emails and correcting my resume while we were doing our first interview– she makes things HAPPEN!
I believe because of her straight-​forward personality and her sense of urgency, she was able to help me complete a 4 week interview process (including our meeting together) with the client and I was offered an amazing position at a prestigious firm. Jane remained supportive throughout the interview process and was quick to update me with news. I wanted to write this review after I had been working at the firm for a few days… and it has been great. I couldn’t be happier with my experience and my new role. If you happen to work with any recruiters, my best advice is to be honest, make necessary changes quickly, and apply feedback given to you! Good luck to all job seekers out there :)

Jane is the CEO of the company. She is very experienced and extraordinary knowledgeable. She is very responsible! She carefully and patiently edited my resume. She pointed out some mistakes and of course I really want someone who can correct me immediately if I am wrong. An impressive resume is the KEY to the door!
