OnSite Furniture Assembly

Shawn assembled a large Ikea laundry cabinet. He replied to my inquiry for a quote quickly. It was easy to schedule, and the furniture is put together perfectly! He anchored the super tall cabinet into the wall, which I’m grateful for. If I’d put it together, I probably would’ve been exhausted and skipped this super important step. I’d use his services again.

The helper came on time, assembled everything as expected and completed job on time.

I have called Onsite twice for help assembling furniture — once for a platform bed, and once for 2 glass cabinets with hinged doors. Shawn is on time, professional, and does excellent work. Worth every penny, and highly recommended.

I found Onsite and Shawn on Unilocal,and hired him to put together and install a bunch of IKEA furniture for clients of mine, and he and his guy did a fantastic job.
As the designer on the project — managing several installations and contracting crews at the same time — there was some lack of communication on my part about a couple of items and on how debris should be disposed of.
Shawn was completely professional about working through some design details with me, about returning to resolve a misunderstanding, and comped the clients on an additional item they had received in the interim. His work is great, he’s very fair, and his prices are very competitive. Wholeheartedly recommend him!

I was having new carpet installed in my bedroom and had a bear of a bed that needed to be disassembled, then reassembled after the installation. Sean replied to my request quickly, set up two appointments for me, and — get ready for this — arrived EARLY for both. He was able to quickly take the bed apart and put it back together. He helped me move the bed frame before and after my carpet installation and even offered to help me move my mattress back in the bedroom, too. I highly recommended Sean and OnSite.

I made the awful mistake of going on Craigslist to get a custom TV stand/​dresser assembled, and my new furniture ended up being partially destroyed, and damaged. That night I left a message for Sean, and 8am the next morning he called, and was at my house at 2pm the same day.
Fixed everything and assembled it correctly. Sean is a first class human-​being, that does a first class job. Don’t waste your time looking elsewhere and do it right with him the first time.

Sean helped our company put together 40 L desks, 12 conference tables and numerous chairs about 5 months ago. We have not had any issues with our furniture and the price was great for the volume that we had. Our company had just moved and he handled this volume like a professional.

These folks completely saved me! I had a giant heavy piece of furniture downstairs at my office and couldn’t get anyone in the company to move it for over 3 months. I finally gave up and came to Unilocal.They were professional and fast, as well as really safe and polite and nice. In under an hour they took the piece apart, brought it up a tricky set of stairs, re-​assembled it and put it right where it needed to go. I can’t imagine trying to do this by myself or with amateurs. Completely worth it — saved me a headache and a backache!

After my friends and families told me stories of spending hours putting together, and then re-​putting together Ikea furniture, I realized that putting together an 8 drawer Ikea dresser would challenge my limited spatial skills. We bought some cabinets from IKEA and didn’t realize they come in a thousand pcs. Rather than spending 10 hours, we decided to hire a pro that is familiar with the IKEA crap. We found Sean on here and gave him a call. he was ery personable over the phone and we decided to go with him. Sean was very friendly, prompt, on time, and quick. Due to poor planning, we needed a filing cabinet from Office Depot assembled immediately.
We called Sean and he was able to come the next morning to save the day. He did a great job, was super friendly and professional, and did what would have take us ~4 hours in just over 1 hour. All in all, an awesome experience.

OnSite assembly service is top-​notch! Called them up, got a quick and accurate estimate, and same week appointment. When Gary arrived, he was on time, professional, and did a great job. He paid attention to detail and made sure to get everything right. I have no fear that my bed is going to suddenly collapse from under me because of one misplaced screw.
Sean came later in the day to finish up and he was also on time, professional, and detailed. He made sure that my ladder shelves were securely attached to the wall and even helped out with clearing out the boxes and debris. They’re also friendly without being pushy and we shared some good laughs during the five hours they were here. They work hard and truly care about doing a good job.

One last thing before I crash after a most stressful week at work; Open house, deadlines, need for a BIG fantastic display on a budget and no hands or volunteers or bitches to assemble the core of the display.
OnSite is recommend by IKEA! One blessing was the flashing of their contact info when I got to the ‘home delivery desk’ to ask a few quesitons. I gave them a call while I was at Ikea, sitting in a piece of lawn furniture at 7:30 pm. They returned my call right after I left a detailed vm about the 3 pieces I’d purchased. Leaving a message with the detailed item codes will result in an accurate estimate of cost. I used all one line of product, so it was easy to summarize as Ikea has print outs of all of their major lines. In my case all Expedit.
I had to change my appointment with OnSite because I didn’t get the preferred delivery time i wanted (shocker, more on Ikea home delivery in another review), but it was all good, they set, then flexibly changed my appointment time.
They called me back the day prior, confirmed their appointment, came when they said they would, worked efficiently and quietly, and totally got everything done in a timely and affordable manner. Seriously these guys saved my A-​S-​S and I really appreciate the work that they did for me.
While Ikea is cheap, it’s all of the shortcuts they take that cut their costs– if you don’t have the patience, skill set, or time, call OnSite. They will get the job done. Thank you Sean and Gary!

Shawn rocks. Super cool and friendly. He put together a Hemnes day bed for us in just under 2 hours. It would have taken my girlfriend and I at least 4 hours… and that’s just deciphering the all-​too-​familiar– IKEA picture only instructions. We suck at playing charades so we got Shawn on the job. It’s been several hours since he put it together for us and it hasn’t internally combusted when our cat climbed on top. strong work shawn! =p
