I had an ongoing problem with my refrigerator and after back and forth with sears, — $ 385 from another company, I finally decided I should recycle this fridge (if possible) and purchase another …
While at work, I over heard my co workers talking about an appliance issue regarding one of her tenants. She said she used «norcal refrigeration» for just about any appliance problem. So I decided to try.
3 hours later… (friday around 7:45pm)
Chris gave us courtesy call he was 15 min. Away!
He showed up after a long day/​week very professional, polite, and even noticed our WHITE carpet and decided to take his shoes off! Definitely made us feel more relaxed!
After a quick troubleshoot, he noticed the light was staying on inside the refrigerator’s side causing extra heat! (Sears said it was normal) (other company replaced thermostat) BOTH WRONG!!!
Not only was the repairman on time and professional, he was very HONEST something you don’t see anymore! Could have easily charged me another $ 385 instead a simple washer on the hinge, vacuumed coils, and advice on basic maintenance FOR ALL my appliance!!!

Chris was great. He came in knew what he was doing and got my freezer up and running in no time.

In the past they were good, now Frank says he will be here between 2 – 4 pm today. It is almost 5pm and he has not called or arrived. Does not respond to repeated phone calls.

I can’t say enough about Frank. He came the same day I called, and made the minor refrigerator repair very easily and at a reasonable cost.
I had called Metro Appliance Repair, and they came out earlier that day. However, they simply recommended a door latch to get my door to close properly. It didn’t sound right to me. All I can say is at least they didn’t charge. But Frank (Francisco) fixed the problem completely.

Frank is a great guy. Honest, on time, and overall great communication. Their assessment fee is much lower than others. Frank came to my bar diagnosed our commercial fridge problem, had parts ready in his van and fixed everything in no time. He also stayed to make sure the temperature was accurate and then calibrated the settings. This is the kind of family business I’m proud to support. Will definitely use them again.

Chris was fantastic. He came over same-​day to diagnose the problem, then made himself available by phone the next business day to come back with the new part. He was responsive, friendly, and competent. He went above and beyond fixing the original problem; he took a thorough look, noticed a separate issue we hadn’t seen yet, and fixed that too. We will definitely use them again if anything else goes wrong with our fridge.

Frank is one of those old school guys. He’s very professional, knows his craft, and is an honest working man’s man. He showed up to my place at the end of one of his long days to diagnose the problem with my wine fridge. He did a thorough exam, told me what the problems were, and gave me several options. Dude was like a doctor. At the end of the visit, the fridge was back working, and I feel like I met a new friend. I would highly recommend Nor-​Cal Refrigeration.

I am late in getting this review up as the work was done about 6 months ago, but I wanted to do it anyway because Frank was so good. I had a problem with my Subzero refrigerator and had another company in to diagnose it and give me a quote. The price seemed high so I called around to get other prices. When I called Norcal Frank seemed very knowledgeable and gave me a quote that was significantly lower. He could tell by the way I talked that I had already had someone else out to diagnose the problem and had a higher quote, but he stuck by his quote. When he came out to fix the fridge he was very pleasant and professional. He asked me for a towel to be sure he didn’t get my hardwood floors messed up. At the end of the repair the towel was dirty and he offered to pay for it, which was completely unnecessary but shows Frank’s integrity. Six months later my fridge is still working great and if I ever have any other problems I will not hesitate to call Frank first.

We called on a Monday morning, and Frank arrived the same day. He was very competent and professional, and was able to service my leaking refrigerator quite quickly. I recommend him highly and would definitely use him again in the future.

Frank and his son were able to come the same day I called to work on my refrigerator that stopped working. They returned the following day as they had to get a part. Work was done quickly and they were polite and friendly. Frank took the time to give me additional information about my refrigerator in regards to the water filter and the appropriate temperature to be maintained while also conserving energy. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Chris was extremely helpful trying to understand the cause of our evening refrigerator malfunction, even while he was on the way to get his daughter.
Then he came back as scheduled and did a thorough job. Now I also know how to better maintain my appliance too.

Excellent repair service! Called them on Saturday afternoon when I discovered my fridge was warm but the freezer was working fine. They were the only company to return my phone call. Received a call back from Chris within the hour.
He was at my house on Sunday at noon as promised. He figured out the problem quickly, and had the part my fridge needed in his truck. Professional, efficient, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. I texted with another question after he left, and I received a reply immediately.

My fridge had been on the brink for a while. I had another company come out to take a look several months ago, the guy replaced one thing after another but the fridge was still broken. After 3 attempts of trying to fix it I gave up and hoped my fridge would last a little longer. Unfortunately it died a few days ago but fortunately for me I found Norcal. Frank was able to squeeze me in between appointments the same day. Between Frank and Christopher they were able to diagnose the problem within minutes. They were both friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, explained everything clearly and made sure everything was clean before they left.
I’ve lived in my place for 10 years and was told by the previous owner that there was no way to get water connected to a fridge. I also had my fridge delivered and installed 10 years and had a repair man come out last year and not one of these people told me I had access to a water source. When Frank made the repairs he saw the water source and connected it to my fridge, installed the filter, showed me how to use it and now I have ice and filtered water, all at no extra charge. What a bonus without even asking!
I would definitely recommend Norcal, and I don’t often hand out 5 stars.

Our old Frigidaire Gallery had given us trouble before, and now we thought it might be end ‘o the line for it. Chris was wonderful. He got the right parts, didn’t install what didn’t need to be replaced, and got us humming again at the usual quiet pitch (the problem was a way loud buzzing). Thank you!

If there were more stars I would enter them. I called late Friday PM and Frank was very thorough in troubleshooting my frig. problem. He talked me through some steps to try on the weekend until he could arrive on Monday am. The steps worked and I don’t even need more help! Sears had given me an appointment for 11 days ahead and was charging me just for the diagnostic!
Frank, I will recommend you to friends and neighbors who may need appliance repair!

Frank and his son, Christopher, are fantastic. I had an ongoing issue with my GE Café fridge and they not only fixed it immediately, but they also spent hours of time diagnosing, re-​checking and ultimately remedying the issue.
They are fair, lovely to have in your home and completely qualified to tackle the toughest fridge problems. I’d call them back in a heart beat.

I’ve called this family run business twice in the past year to help with my refrigerator, and both times they were prompt, helpful and fair in their pricing and service.

Called and set an appointment — no one showed up or advised. Called twice to reschedule, and left a message. No one ever responded. Not clear what is going on — perhaps illness in family? Will find someone more able to communicate.

Still never got a reply. Don’t know what’s up, but its kind of rude to keep me hanging, doncha think?
Edit: Got a prompt answer and repair in 3 days at All Brand Appliance Repair. Much better service.
