Purchased a groupon for eyebrow threading and was less than impressed with the quality of work. I have threaded my eyebrows for the past 20 years and I walked out with a bleeding and crooked eyebrow. Needless to say I will stick to my original palace even though I may have to wait an additional week or two.

I’m a little spoiled coming from New York where it’s standard to get a top-​notch eyebrow threading job for $ 7. Here I paid $ 15 + $ 3 tip for what turned out to be an amateur result. I asked the young lady to keep my brows as thick and full as possible, just clean up around the brows and trim them. She spent maybe three times longer than a typical threader would on my brows (perhaps she was new at this?) and in the end she took off way more from my inner brow area than I gave her permission to. Following the threading, she asked if I wanted aloe and wound up giving me a full-​on head massage, her aloe-​y fingers running through my hair, massaging my eyeballs (which did not feel great because I wear contact lenses), and wiping off my eye makeup.
This was by no means a disaster of a thread job (I’ve definitely had my share of those), more likely a case of getting an amateur threader. Since there are surprisingly few threading salons in the Bay Area I will likely come back and pay the steep SF price for the salon’s convenient location.

These ladies do threading justice. They hit that sweet spot of getting you in and out within 10 to 15 minutes without losing quality control. It’s as easy as 1.) Get assessed, 2.) Hold the skin below each eyebrow as they expertly weave in and out, tweeze and trim, 3.) Say yes to the aloe and enjoy a minute or two of cooling massage and a nice neck/​shoulder rub. All for $ 15. On weekdays, they also have happy hour where they’ll throw in upper lip threading if you purchase a brow service.
Oh — and don’t forget that punch card. 6 visits and the 7^th is gratis!
Forget all of those awful rush-​job booths in the mall and visit Nirvana to stay on fleek. (Is that still cool to say? Too bad).

Sangita is the best. She is def my go to girl now! She will be going on maternity leave soon and she definitely shall be missed! Nirvana has been the best thing I ever did for my brows. :)

I live in the east bay but will only get my brows done here! I happened to stumble upon this gem a few months ago when I was walking to work, and like many girls, was very hesitant. I’m very picky when it comes to my eyebrows but I was in desperate need of some threading. Fortunately my desperation worked out in my favor! I highly recommend this place for anyone who needs a miracle done on their brows! :)

This is my go-​to eyebrow threading spot. They are incredibly thorough and really follow directions. My brows have never been so on FLEEK until now! The head massage they give at the end is amazing as well…
They also have stamp cards — if you go 5 times, the 6^th time is free!

She used to work at Stonestown Mall (which was like 5 steps away for me sob) and then moved across to start her own gig — such an inspiration. I hiked across for months despite the time, energy (parking and one ways ugh) becauuusse she is SO worth it! Sadly I’ve moved more than an hour away now so :(

I was in desperate need to get my brows done. I found this place through Unilocal and it is only 2 blocks away from work! I came on a Friday at 5:30pm without an appointment and waited for 30 minutes. I didn;t mind waiting, since I knew this place would be good! I would definitely make an appointment next time.
Finding a new place for my brows is scary for me, but luckily i found this place!
The lady who did my brows was super friendly and attentive. I didn’t get her name, but she was excellent! Before she started, she told me exactly what she would be doing and gave me advice on how not to tweeze my brows. After she asked if I wanted ice on my brows since she could see my tearing up. She carefully put ice on it and then massaged my brows with aloe afterwards.
This would be my new go-​to threading place since they have a loyalty card for having the 6^th visit free! Also, they offer free lip threading during happy hour!

Finding a good threading place is hard and I’m so glad I found one near where I live. Sangita does an awesome job on my eyebrows and upper lip. She listens to how and what I want to get done to my eyebrows and spends time to make sure it’s right. The head massage feels good at the end too. It’s a nice little touch to finish off a threading.
I had a friend visiting who needed to get her brows done as well and clean up on the side burns and Sangita did an excellent job. My friend was very happy. This is now my go to place to get any threading done.

This is by far my favorite eyebrow threading place in the city! This is probably the 3^rd place I’ve tried and the service is out of this world.
You are greeted with them offering you some hand sanitizer so you don’t have to touch your eyes with dirty hands. They are very gentle with your eyebrows, but also give you a great shape or do a good job of clean up if that’s all you want.
Two of my favorite things:
1. Short massage at the end of your threading session — they do such a good job on this and you feel so relaxed; I would keep coming back just for this.
2. Happy hour on Thurs and Fri from 12−5pm. If you get your eyebrows threaded, you get upperlip for free so total comes out to $ 15! I think $ 15 for both services is a great deal in the city — best I’ve seen so far.
I’m so happy I found this place! Definitely go here if you don’t like pain and love great service :)

I came here to get my eyebrows threaded for the first time. Suzanna was the one who helped me and she seemed to know what she was doing. I could see myself become a regular here!

Went here today to get my brows and I left disappointed.
The woman was friendly (no complaints there) and asked me what I wanted done. She kept the shape as I asked, but the pressure she applied for threading was quite firm and I ended up being nicked slightly because of that. My skin was also slightly red, which can be common but is an indicator to me that the technician was too aggressive. The salon was clean and the wait was minimal, but I wish they were more gentle.
Oh and $ 22 for eyes and upper lip is a bit preposterous.
I have been getting my brows threaded for years and am now on the hunt for a regular spot since I moved here. Unfortunately the search continues.

The Groupon was so worth it — I believe it was only $ 7 for one eyebrow threading sesson. I regret not getting more (it was only for new customers).
The women here are gentle and fast and gave my eyebrows a great natural shape. However, the normal price of $ 15 per threading session is definitely on the pricey side.

I had a very good first experience at Nirvana Beauty and Brows. I work right around the corner from the salon, but had never noticed it before. I called to make an eyebrow wax appointment and they were able to take me 15 minutes later. The salon has a relaxing vibe with threading chairs downstairs, and a waxing/​facial table upstairs. The two women working there were incredibly friendly. I’m not sure what kind of wax she used, but it was way better than what normally gets put on my face. The waxing was painless, and I even got a quick eyebrow/​cheek massage. She was very thorough about getting the perfect shape and waxed in small sections. Their prices are very reasonable.
However, the second time that I made an appointment, I showed up 5 minutes before my time and one of the women said that they were a bit behind schedule. I said no problem, thinking it was 5 – 10 minutes, and sat down. 15 minutes later, no one has said anything to me, and I start to get agitated. When I asked when my appointment was going to be, the woman informed me the the appointment before me had been almost 30 minutes late and they still kept her appointment! Not only that, but it was going to be about another 15 – 20 minute wait. I was pretty disappointed that they hadn’t been upfront about it when I first came in, and that they thought it was appropriate to keep customers waiting that long even when they had an appointment. I ended up just leaving and they didn’t even seem that apologetic about it. I now go to different waxing salon that is very diligent about keeping their appointment times.

Came here for eyebrow and upperlip threading during their Happy Hour and service was fast, efficient, and very friendly! They even do a quick facial massage with aloe vera gel after the threading to sooth the redness. Absolutely loved it, not to mention it was very affordable with the Happy hour pricing. Definitely coming back here again!

Yesterday was my third time coming back… and as always Sangita does it again! My brows are on point everytime. Sangita is quick, and she gives killer head massages! Call ahead and make your appointment! They usually have open spots for same day appointments and are less busy during the weekdays. I’ve came early to every single one of my appointments and they are still able squeeze me in! They also have a loyalty card! Your 6^th eyebrow threading is free :)
If you want to try it out, there is currently a groupon! But seriously, once you thread your brows at Nirvana, you will never go anywhere else.

My eyebrows have never been so on fleek until today. Sangita is amazing and magical!
The last time I had my eyebrows did was in 2012, 3 years ago. From then till now, I’ve been occasionally plucking my brows and even then it’s been a few weeks or months since I’ve maintained them so yes my brows were bushy as heck today. I found a groupon deal and called in the morning for an appointment in the afternoon. Walked in during my break and there were a few people ahead of me. Fortunately, it went by fast and soon enough I sat in the chair. Not gonna lie, I cried during the threading (it’s been a while!) but it was all worth it in the end. I will definitely be coming back!

This is my favorite place to get my brows done.
Cheap. Fast. Easy. Close to work. Always done exactly as I want. I want a «Clean UP» and my face is always natural looking and clean.
So I usually call sometime in the middle of the work day to see if they can give me a brow appointment. They usually have an opening within the hour or so. I walk right over.
The best part is they’re super clean. They give you hand sanitizer before you get started. And I also get Aloe applied to my red spots PLUS a mini face massage after the threading.

They do brazilian waxing! I went in today to get my eyebrows done and saw that they are having a special, $ 15 off for a brazilian. It’s usually $ 65, so it came out to $ 50 total. Not bad, I thought I would give it a shot.
Kalpana (sp?) took me upstairs to their little treatment room. It was very clean. They always use hand sanitizer and give some to me whenever I get my eyebrows done so I knew they would be clean. She used hard wax since she said it was better, although it does take a little longer. I didn’t mind though. Kalpana never double dipped and was so meticulous. It was the first time getting a brazilian felt like a spa treatment. She was so nice and friendly and the room was relaxing to be in.
These girls are my go-​to for everything now!

I hate getting my brows waxed because my face gets all red. I prefer getting my brows threaded because it’s more natural.
This spot is super close to my work place and price wise it’s very cheap during Happy Hour time.
