New Light Energy Design provides energy efficient lighting upgrades for commercial and multi-​family residential customers in the SF Bay Area. We navigate the variety of energy efficient rebate programs and make it easy for customers to improve their facility’s lighting, become financially healthier, and do their part to benefit community and the environment.

Our lighting specialists evaluate customers’ current lighting, area-​by-​area, indoors and out and provide free recommendations to ‘get the lighting right’. Upgrades occur through simple fixture retrofits or the installation of the newest energy efficient lighting technology.

Better light, real savings, real easy is our motto; we live up to it by tailoring correct facility lighting, energy efficiency, and substantial utility rebates to offset project costs for our customers.

History

Established in 2009.

Founded by a pair of MBA students in 2009, NLED is an electrical contractor focusing on ‘doing well by doing good’. In our business practices, we believe in and promote the three Ps as equally essential to the bottom line: People, Planet, and Profits.

NLED has helped more than 200 commercial customers improve their facilities lighting, totaling some $ 600,000+ in annual savings — all resulting in less energy consumption for a stronger America.

Business Owner

Founders Bret and Mark are both Bay Area natives who hold MBA’s in Sustainable Management from Presidio Graduate School. Bret, a University of Berkeley undergrad, brings business experience in sales and real estate management. Mark, a Portland State University undergrad, has years of sales experience and previously founded an art gallery.
