Specialties
NCA-BA DUI Classes are licensed by the State of California and meet all of the requirements set forth by the California Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs and the California DMV. Our DUI programs can be modified to comply with the DUI laws and requirements of other states.
We offer Six Week to Eighteen Month DUI Programs («first time and multiple offender» programs). Course lengths, contents and prices vary according to the nature and duration of the program selected. Program options are reviewed during registration.
We provide Drug Testing services for the City of San Francisco and private-sector Bay Area entities, such as employment agencies, as well as for individuals and their families.
Our Drug Testing services are more than just laboratory and sample collection. We design and manage testing programs using consistent and certified testing protocols and procedures — and make sure the testing clients are treated with dignity, respect, and discretion.
NCA’s Drug Diversion Program is geared to helping participants make positive lifestyles changes through the reduction of and/or elimination of alcohol and other drug related problems. Our Drug Diversion Programs consist of both individual meetings and group education/counseling sessions. NCA-BA offers two options. Participants who are mandated to complete 12 sessions (24 hrs) or fewer are registered in the 3 Month Program to satisfy requirements. All other participants are registered in the 6 Month Program.
History
Established in 1957.
The National Council on Alcoholism and other Drug Addictions — Bay Area (NCA-BA), has been serving individuals, families, and the San Francisco Bay Area community since 1957 by providing prevention services, educational resources, treatment options, referrals, diagnosis, counseling, testing, and other critical support for those who are struggling with the impact and consequences of alcoholism and other substance use disorders.
We are proudly affiliated with the New York based, National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (NCADD) — the oldest voluntary alcoholism health agency in the United States. Together we seek to raise public awareness, fight stigma, mobilize communities, foster and support recovery, and provide hope and healing for all those struggling with substance use disorders.
