Very impressed. Kathy, my technician, was fantastic. She did a superb job on my acrylic fill with gel overlay. Very sweet lady, too. Would give 5 stars but the price was bit high. Still, you get what you pay for so it’s worth a few extra dollars for a manicure to last a month.

NEVER EVER GO HERE! I’d give negative stars if possible. This place is the very definition of ‘chop shop.’ It is disgusting and unhygienic. I came here for a pedicure. The chairs are crammed as tight as possible. In fact, I had toenail clippings from the woman next to me hit me in the face. THIS PLACE IS SO DISGUSTING. A pedicure lasted 20 minutes from the time I walked into the time they shoved me under a UV lamp. I appreciate a quick nail job on my lunch break, but there’s no possible way I got a good pedicure. There are other places in the area I can go to. I will never, ever come here again. Heed my words, you shouldn’t either. Go to Vanity in the Embarcadero Ctr instead.

I have been going here for years (like 20 years). Surprisingly there are not a lot of nail salons in the area. I really like the spa pedi chairs with massager; I like the staff, and they do a great job on my pedicures; and I really like that they are affordable. At one point, I was feeling nickeled and dimed and pressured to upgrade my pedi so stopped going for a while because of that. When I returned, they had backed off of that practice. I do wish they were on the ground level, but I’m sure the price of their services is a reflection of the trek.

It’s really hard to find a spot near work (in the Financial District), but this place was convenient and the staff is really friendly. I got a fill and nail repair (acrylics). My only issue here is that the color of the sample did not match up with the nail polish’s actual color — looked like some colors had gotten mixed up, which was fine — I just came in and had it fixed at no cost.
I wouldn’t make a trek to get my nails done here, but I will definitely keep going because of the location at the convenience.

Great location and takes walk-​ins. The woman who did my nails was a little rough and seemed annoyed that I wasn’t able to stay completely still. I’m not sure I’d come back, they really try to up sell you into getting waxes, which I did one time for eyebrows but it was definitely too hot– I had blistering right after. You can find better than this elsewhere.

I felt inclined to write a Unilocal review after having a positive experience here and reading so many negative reviews at all of the nail places I was considering. I wanted a clean nail place that had nice massage/​pedicure chairs. I was happy that I found one within the Financial District area not too far from my hotel and also pretty close to the Ferry building. The place was clean, had a selection of OPI and Essie polishes and the ladies were very friendly. They were good at their work and did not make me bleed from clipping or buff down my heels too much. They did a great job on the massage, asking the length and shape I wanted my nails and polish. If I am ever back in town I wouldn’t hesitate to come back. I went at 2:30 on a weekday so it was not crowded which was nice.

I work on embarcadero and I’m always so busy. I stopped by on my lunch to get my eyebrows done and the lady that did my eyebrows took her time to work on my eyebrows. It was well appreciated since i haven’t gotten my eyebrows done in a couple months. She did them to the best of her ability to my request thanks so much!

This place is slow, way overpriced and rough. I was desperate. Avoid.

Terrible. This was the fastest, most half-​as*, LAZIEST mani pedi I’ve ever gotten. I walked out with dead skin still on my hands and feet and a terrible paint job.

Won’t be coming back, service was «ehhhh»

This place was surprisingly not busy on a Saturday afternoon but the street was closed for Super Bowl prep. They did a lot of extras such as a nice had massage, hot towel clean at the end, and extra finishing/​filing that I have not had at other places.
The only draw back was they did not use a dremel for removing the gel polish and finishing the acrylic fills. This made it a little rougher than I am used to, but still a great manicure.

One star for the fact that their pretty much the only nail salon in the area. 2^nd star for the fact they always take walk ins. The 3^rd star is for sympathy.
I’ve been to a lot of nail salon and I have to say this is one of the most disappointing. They never give me a massage when I get my pedicure, they basically put lotion on your ankles and call it day. We all know the massage is the best part.
The shape of my acrylics never match and there’s always nail polish around my nails, I never feel like their freshly done. Once I got them done and they came off that week.
They always say they can get you some on time but rarely do.
Again, I only go in when I am completely desperate. The nail lady at diva international salon is awesome but doesn’t do acrylics

I have such mixed emotions about this place.
What to improve:
* Even though the signage says they accept cards and cash, there is a great deal of pressure to pay in all cash. When I offered mostly cash and some on credit, I was told maybe eight times in a ten minute period to bring all cash next time. If that’s how the business operates it should be posted, not told to clients as they are paying as was the case with me on more than one occasion.
*I was also told to call a few hours before coming in. Sometimes I can do that and other times not; I don’t like to feel that a phone call is required in order for me to come in, sometimes on short notice.
*There is quite a bit of pressure to up sell. Once I called and said I wanted a regular pedi. I said it twice over the phone, once to the person who greeted me and another to the person who does my nails. But she still brought a gel light over as if I’d never said anything. Massages are similar, often suggested and «no» is not taken as an answer, at least at first.
What is awesome:
*The gel nails I get here are over the top amazing. They are perfect when they go on and look very good three weeks later. I have had gels start to come off after three or four days, so this is a real find.
* The nail techs and staff are friendly and quick to greet and get you going.
I will keep going back, despite the drawbacks noted above.

My friend and I visited the salon for two pedicures last week.
The salon was in a lovely condition and looks wonderful inside. Only issue was the long long stairs which there is nothing really they can do so that is not affecting our rating.
We went in they were very welcoming and we got a spot without any waiting time and without appointment which is really good!
After we communicated with the ladies we got given two massage chairs for our pedicure. Sadly my friends chair was broken which limits the experience. The ladies who did our nails were very friendly but hard to understand them talking to us but very pleasant to be around.
A bit disappointing was that they did not have the plastic surface for the foot spa to prevent from infections such as fungus. I believe that this is necessary. Also they applied lotion to our legs without asking permission which I did not like because I have sensitive skin and by the time I saw them it was too late.
The biggest problem is that by the time we arrived home the pedicures started to be off which never happens as from our experience from other salons they usually last up to two weeks. This suggests that the nail polishes are quite old and is one of the major reasons for our review.
I would not recommend it to be honest xxx

First time visit here today. All in an OK experience.
The good: Quality work, friendly staff. Greeted and seated as soon as we walked in. Clean. Not fancy but nicely appointed. Reasonable prices.
The bad: We both had the $ 48 Deluxe Manicure and Pedi combo. My usual request. I get a mani every week and a pedi every other. This was supposed to be about a 60 minute service. I was disappointed when two techs started on me at the same time. One doing hands, one feet. This is not what I like but I chose to just roll with it. Again, the work was quality but I was done in only a half hour. The same tech who did my mani went and started my girlfriend’s after me, so her service actually took the full hour. She had a french pedicure. Since I was done so quickly, I said yes to the suggested extra foot massage. This, I knew, was a $ 10 upsell, but since I was done so quickly and had to wait for my girlfriend I said ok and added the same for my girlfriend.

All in, her charge was $ 62 and mine was $ 58. She got an extra half hour of service and it was a $ 4 difference. I really feel like I got the short-​end of the stick.
There was only one other client in the salon when we entered. They have nice stations for both pedicures and manicures, so I expected to utilize both. Since they decided to do both services concurrently, my take was they were rushing me out. I like to take my time and relax. This wasn’t a lunchtime weekday rush. Nobody was waiting. We had appointments. If you’re like me and like to unwind and enjoy the service you might want to request a getting the mani and pedi done separately.
I will probably not return for the simple reason that I felt like I was rushed.
Lastly, my tab was $ 120 for both of us. They take credit cards, but asked me to pay in cash. I told them I don’t have that much cash so I want to charge my card for the service and give them a cash tip — which is what I always do at nail salons. I thought this was a strange request.
Draw your own conclusions. I’d recommend trying this place, but take note of my experience and make your requests accordingly.

If your considering using this place DONT. Worst customer service, horrible talent with acrylic, and terrible polish application. After my fill I felt as though I didn’t even get one. Its worth paying more money to go somewhere else. I literally have seen everyone there are numerous occasions and given this place multiple tries. Horrible nail technicians.

I wish I could say you get what you pay for, but that’s not quite true. $ 38 for a 40 minute manipedi is pretty rough.
I read the reviews, so I knew it would be fast. But it was a super slow afternoon so I figured they would at least do a good job. I think for the quality of the service and the time, it should be closer to $ 25, tops.

I had to get a mani pedi today because we are leaving for Vegas in a few hours and I still had a ton of errands to run. So I decided to get my nails done close to work during my lunch break.
I was debating on whether to give this place 2 or 3 stars.
They were able to accommodate me quickly. They were super fast, but the one lady that ended up finishing the nail polish part did a half ass job.
I didn’t see them open a new packaged tools, so that’s worry some.
Some of the ladies are super friendly others meh.
I don’t know what it is but they have the slowest drying nail polish on the planet. I sat there drying my hand and toes for about 45 mins. It was still wet. I have a few nails dont got smudged after I put my jacket on. after drying for 45 mins. I didn’t want them to fix it anymore.
I would probably come here again if I had time constraints like today, but maybe next time I would learn my lesson and not procrastinate about everything.

First timer here: I had my doubts about the quality of this place because it is too conveniently located near my work and it’s in a relatively expensive neighborhood (as far as nail salons in the FiDi go). How pleasantly surprised I was to find that the service was prompt, friendly, and clean!
A cheery manicurist by the name of Kim took good care of me and my digits. She would pause occasionally to ask if I was comfortable and whether or not I liked the progress of her work. Kim was very thorough (read: accurate, not slow) and took well to my direction and suggestions for how I wanted the glitter to look.
I got a gel manicure with red base and gold glitter, just in time for the holidays! Kim even gave me a $ 5 off coupon for my next visit (minimum purchase of $ 35, which is how much a gel mani costs).
I also liked the way they took care of customers right away, only utilizing two employees per guest to increase efficiency as available.
Looking forward to going back on another lunch break.
Pros: conveniently located, efficient staff, not noxious smelling, great choice of colors
Cons: pricey (as expected), gel mani didn’t turn out too thick but could have had a cleaner application near the cuticles (see photos)
