Had to get some quick lunch and decided to go to the café down stairs the people were lovely and the food was done fast! They have sandwiches soups and salads along with some simple pastries for your coffee the servings were perfect since you can get the option of only buying half a sandwich and not having to carry the other half around all day !

Pretty big menu — with sandwiches, salads, wraps, burritos, soups, and daily specials. Also very affordable. I haven’t tried anything besides the 5-item make-your-own salad at this location, but so far, so good. A full no-meat salad runs under $ 6, which is hard to find. The salad fixings aren’t the most gourmet, but there is a good selection of items. Mint is a no-frills lunch spot that has a little bit of everything for everyone. Quick service with fairly short lunch lines. And, you can either take lunch indoors to the quiet seating area around the corner or enjoy it right outside by the grassy area around City Hall. Definitely a hidden gem.

The staff working here are polite and friendly. I love this place and would definitely come here for lunch everyday if I worked at City Hall. Very good customer service with decent pricing for food and beverage items. I like the fact that they have a burrito bar here. I am craving for a bean and cheese burrito while writing this review. Passing by? Craving for something to eat and drink? Come in to this Mint Café to check out the menu items for yourself. This café is only open from Monday — Friday, 7:30 am — 3:30 pm. PLEASENOTE: City Hall is a secured building so you will have to go through security checkpoint upon entry. 09/25/2014: In addition to the burritos, tacos, nachos and quesadillas available, there are also salads, sandwiches, soups and wraps available. Overall, friendly staff members, good services and delicious food. Clean facility and quiet place to enjoy your meal. I’m definitely coming in again! The Bean and Cheese Burrito & Regular Taco are delicious.

Basic café, nothing special. Besides salad and boring tacos, no gluten-free alternatives. Would love to see something new on the menu. Customer service ok but had a unnecessarily bad and unfriendly experience with woman behind cashier that reduced rating from two to one. Seems to be a monopoly for quick food in Civic Center area, not much competition. I will be ordering online at Ananda.

Mint Café opened it’s doors last week in the Basement of San Francisco City Hall. The staff is amazing and the friendliest bunch of people I have ever come across in the food industry. In my experience, people that serve food are either not that happy or faking it. The people here however are genuinely happy to help you. They have daily specials, the food isn’t spectacular but it is good. The variety on a day to day basis is heaven sent for those who work inside City Hall. The salad here is always fresh and they also have a great selection of pastries. Did I mention they have a burrito bar? Well they do, I have had the burritos here and it’s okay, better than any I could ever make. In conclusion, the food is decent, the people are wonderful, the coffee is strong and hot. This place is A-Ok in my book. Extra star for the people.
