Mike’s Liquors delivered a keg for our company holiday party and totally made our night! Everyone we interacted at Mike’s was accommodating, considerate, and pulled a number of strings to make our last minute request (s) a reality. We consistently go to Mike’s for our liquor needs and we will continue to do us in the future!

i love the beer and delivery option at mike’s. i didn’t give them 5 stars only because when the delivery guy came, my mother was here, and against her request, he adjusted the temp in the keg fridge. our temp is always set to max low because we have an external temp override regulator that actually sets the temp and only works if your fridge temp is set to max low. thanks dude. warm beer today.

Originally I had a bad experience trying to order over the phone but the manager saw my review and made a point to apologize and was incredibly sincere. Our last few orders have been exactly what we needed and have been on time and delicious.
Thank you for making a point to take care of your customers!

Don’t expect them to deliver on time if you are having some type of function!

Mikes supplied kegs of wine and beer for my casual wedding reception. I couldn’t have been more satisfied. They were very helpful answering my questions. Their suggested quantities were spot on. The delivery guy took the time to correctly setup the kegs, taking the time time to show me how it worked and providing a taste test. My guests loved eye flavors. They also proved to be very economical. I was able to serve premium wines and beers for hundreds less than any competitor.

If I could give them negative stars, I would.
I placed an order for a corporate event more than 3 days in advance. The evening before the event, at 3:30pm to be exact, they emailed me and said they only do deliveries to the Peninsula on Wednesdays, so they could deliver the following week. I explained that I had an event the next day and asked what my options were. They said, «Sorry for not reviewing your order earlier. We did not double check the delivery address. The order may be picked up at our store. Otherwise we’ll just cancel it.»
REALLY!!! So now I’m SOL for my event. If I could pick up my order, why on earth would I request delivery???
Definitely will NOT be doing business with these people again. I understand that mistakes happen, but at least be a LITTLE accommodating since YOU made the error and not a potential customer. Horrible customer service!!!
EDIT: Almost immediately after I posted this review, I received a call from the manager apologizing for how his team handled the situation. He said that they’ve been really busy because of the Warriors in the Playoffs, but to me, that shouldn’t affect the quality of customer service. Anyway, he said that he would do the delivery himself to make sure we received everything in time for my event. Everything did come as promised, so I’m glad they made it work. I’ll do business with them again.

Ordered easy enough on their website. Guy calls to confirm and the next day someone is waiting for me with two kegs and a full jockey box setup. We partied hard but, shamefully, left some beer behind. Battle lost. We had the kegs picked up a day or two late after winning the war and they didn’t charge any fees. This is my new favorite source.

Four Roses is on the shelf, so is Reed’s ginger beer.
Now both of us can get our fix in our own hood.

The good people at Mike’s took care of all our beer needs so much, and so sweetly, that I’m now a Mike’s fan for life.
I needed a few kegs. They have them.
I needed them delivered. They do that for free for orders over $ 100.
Pick-​up service is $ 20 and so totally worth it.
When our kegs arrived, they were promptly set up, tapped, iced, and I was gently reminded to relax and just enjoy the party. I felt so loved.
Pick-​up was a cinch with a just a phone call a couple days later and a reasonable range of pick-​up times to choose from.

Great selection and easy to work with. We had them deliver drinks to our wedding reception this past weekend and they were right on time. Picked up everything from our venue on Monday as promised and everything was hunky dory! :)

Hands down the best liquor store in the city.
If you are looking for kegs it has a huge selection in stock… much better than Bevmo. Their prices are very competitive and they do CO2 tanks if you have a kegerator.
If you need a very obscure keg or something call and they can usually find it.

Jack is incredible! What a sweetheart. I didn’t anticipate having such a great experience from ordering a keg. They delivered the keg (which was amazing), showed up on time, and Jack was entertaining and also resembled a younger Christopher Walken. I will neeever be buying from bevmo again.

Mike’s has a tremendous keg selection, including 5– and 7-​gallon sizes, and they deliver free, which is a beautiful thing. They even bring you the correct tap handle for the beer in question, which always impresses your guests.
My only complaint is they don’t have a list of kegs online — you have to either go there or have the staffer go thru an endless litany. Somewhat painful for both parties.

I had an AWESOME experience with Mike’s in February after another store let me down. I was looking for a keg of cider for a party. It’s not a common brand, and the other store had promised they could fill the order but then decided they didn’t want to bother only two days before the party. Did I mention this was for Super Bowl weekend? YEA. So, I figured I was out of luck, but the cider company connected me to Mike’s, and they were happy to place the order. Everything about the transaction went really smoothly.
They made sure I had the right equipment for the keg, and they were even able to drop off and pick up the keg, which really helped because I do not have a car. Delivery is free if you spend a certain amount. They gave me a 2 hour window and showed up in the earlier portion of that. (There was a charge for pick-​up but it was worth it, because I would have had to take a taxi or rent a car to get the keg + tub back to Mission Terrace.
I am thoroughly impressed by the job they did on this, especially considering that it was something they had never ordered before and that it was Super Bowl weekend. They will be my first call next time I need a keg!

If you ever need a keg. get it from here. Seriously. It is the best option in San Francisco hands DOWN! Great options, great service, just an all around pleasent experience in what was for a moment, a stressful situation. I am never going to pick up a keg, or go to BevMo, ever again.
So I literally ordered online last night and the amazing Steve had it delivered to my place on time and was more than willing to set everything up for me. Mike’s Liquors, and Steve of course, definitely went above and beyond my expectations!
And now, if you’ll excuse me, it’s time to rage.

Just went in for a few quick things and this is what happened:
1. Turns out they were actually closed but let me and my (stoned) boyfriend wander around aimlessly looking at stuff.
2. Once we realized they were closed they didn’t rush us at all and let my (I repeat: stoned) boyfriend ask what was in some obscure cocktail he suddenly realized he needed the ingredients for.
3. Looked up said cocktail and printed out the recipe, helped us make sure we had everything we needed and
4. GAVE us a free shaker and pint glass. Like, FREE. I thought we were charged for it as our bill came to about $ 50, but once we got home we realized they just GAVE it to us, so we could make that obscure cocktail.
Total class act, especially considering how we must’ve looked walking in (me in crappy sweats, my boyfriend stoned and having the stupids, and us asking about some random cocktail WHEN THEY’RE ACTUALLY NOT EVEN OPEN).
I am so impressed.
Will OBVIOUSLY be going back for more.
(From what I gathered, although I didn’t look around too much, the selection was great too. Even had a random wine I love that isn’t always easy to find AND it was super cheap!)

I’ve been using Mike’s for a while and just yesterday we had our first communication issue with the delivery. Mike’s called the next day and issued a credit, which was very cool of them.
I highly recommend using the website, where you always get a detailed item and cost breakdown! I’ll be using them from now on.

We’ve used Mike’s for years to order kegs for Kongregate office parties, and they’ve always been super reliable and helpful. Last week we got a kegerator online — all seemed to be going well but the beer was coming out very slowly. They sent out Jack, a keg expert, and he spent nearly an hour going over things to find that there was a bizarrely small coupling on the beer line. Amazing service.
TL, DR: We bought a kegerator off of Amazon — these guys fixed it for free!

Although I’ve actually been inside this place once to return a keg (it was sitting at our house for over a month so I couldn’t do pick up) I really didn’t get a chance to see what they had, so this review is all about there keg service.
Since I’ve lived in SF (about a year) my and roommates and I have used this place four different times for kegs, and I’ve been the main person dealing with them the last three times.
I’ve never had any problems ordering a keg on-​line, having it delivered, or having them come pick it up. They have a great selection of beer to choose from and provide anything you might need to go with your keg (ice, cups, tap, tubs, etc…). Depending on what kind of beer you want you can either get a pony keg or full size keg.
At first I thought they were a little pricey, but I’m also from AZ where everything tends to be cheaper, and after comparing them to other places in SF there actually reasonably priced.
When you have delivery or pickup for a keg they give you a two-​hour window, which is actually pretty reasonable when you consider major cable companies, furniture stores, and appliance centers with a zillion more employees than Mike’s often times give you a 4 – 6 hour window.
Every time they’ve delivered our keg they’ve set it up for us, which can be a bitch (we always have the set it up on our second floor balcony, and carrying it up those stairs has to suck!!!). There’s a $ 20 pickup fee, and there pretty flexible about when they can come pick it up (after our Super Bowl party though we had it sitting here for over a month and that’s why we had to return it our self).
Any person who I’ve dealt with from Mike’s either in person or on the phone has been extremely nice & helpful. If you live in SF and need a keg for a party, I’d definitely go with Mike’s!!!

Mike’s Liquor is a hidden gem where you can find interesting aged California wines. Based on their location and store front, you would never guess that have older vintages of some premium Cabs that you cannot find at bigger and nicer wine stores like K&L or Wine Club.

The manager (owner?) here is surprisingly very knowledgeable about wine. He was honest, admitting 1998 was not a good year for Napa Cabs. While Mike’s Liqour cannot substitute my trips to K&L, it is a good place to know.
