History

Established in 2004.

When midlife looked me in the eye, I reassessed my professional life and decided to follow my passion and do what I knew best and loved: help people improve their appearance, self-​esteem and confidence.

Since I was already a certified Pilates instructor I decided to combine my expertise in posture and alignment with image consulting. I elected to return to Europe to update my skills and renew my image consultant certification from one of the most prestigious organizations in Europe.

On my return to the USA, I created a unique business model by uniting my Image Consultant and Pilates certifications and launched Michèle Benza Image Consulting and Posture in 2004. I have not looked back since and am happily coaching clients on how to dress appropriately for their age, life style and body type and attain their ideal posture. I work face-​to-​face with local clients and remotely with my clients that live far away.

Michèle helped me with wardrobe and picking outfit for many occasions within my budget, I am so glad I found her.
The outfits Michèle helps me pick always come with compliments from others, in stores, even from female colleagues; many turn heads while walking on a busy street, a brand new experience I had to get used to.
Michèle picks outfits for the occasions I want/​need to attend at the store of my preference. Now I don’t need to pull my hair off or waste my time on websites or in store just to pick the outfit that suits me. Now I can save the trouble to pull my hair off just to find the good outfits.

Michele is a great resource to help you personalize and rework wardrobe pieces you already own. I had some cute dresses that I wasn’t wearing because something seemed just … off. She helped me figure out how to move belt loops, add accessories, and do anything else I needed to make these dresses work on my petite frame. There’s no telling how much money she’s saved me with her eye for personal style and sharp advice. Plus, she’s just so kind and fun to chat with.
She also does group shopping trips in Paris on a regular basis. I haven’t been myself, but considering she’s European-​born and knows all the best places to go, that sounds like an incredibly fun trip to take with girlfriends or your mom.

Michele is wonderful! She is accessible and very intuitive. I love that she will work with you within your budget (Chanel or Gap) and your personal style (career or rock star).
While she doesn’t take any commissions from shops, she does know where to go and who to talk to — something I have not mastered. She can help you with clothing, jewelry, shoes… She’ll work with you on fashion, on make-​up and on overall poise.

A couple years ago a very beautiful and stylish woman came to shop at my studio. Once we began talking, I found out that she was an image consultant ‘to the stars’ and people like me. Her name… Michele Benza. She was so charming and full of fashion tips that I immediately started sending people her way, with fabulous results. In fact, I was at a party over the holidays and did a double-​take at a friend of mine because she was glowing. She was wearing a dress that truly suited her style and walked with an air of confidence that she didn’t have before. I’d forgotten that she’d been working with Michele and when I told her how amazing she looked, she thanked me for the introduction!
