My grandma has lived here for years, and our family feels very safe knowing that she lives in a good active environment. Monthly activities include, movie nights, field trips to the 99 discount store, nearby casino’s, bingo nights, and various art/​dance/​craft classes. They also have a large on-​site garden to satisfy anybodies green thumb.
Despite how it is categorized, this place is not a retirement home. Mendelson is an independent senior living facility located right smack dab in the middle of Soma. It’s conveniently located next to Whole Foods, Sony Metreon, Yerba Buena Arts Center, SF moma, Moscone Center, walking distance to Market street, Muni and Bart. If I was a senior citizen, this place would be shangri-​la.
