Just updating my review. This place is a mixed bag.
On one side the menu is great. Good bud and all that.
On the other side the service is crap.
They must have lost patients records or something b/​c I swear they’ve asked me to resend my doc recommendation every time I order. Def a pain in the butt. Most places SAVE that info.
Also, SLOW SLOW SLOW, deliveries take 1.5 hrs minimum? What’s that about? Almost every other place can do in 1 he or less.
Try Eaze for example. That’s like 10 min!
Lastly, the people on the phones who work there are waaaaayyyy too cool for you.
They are the hipster class that talks down to customers on the phone and seem so frustrated that you are giving them business and making them work.
It’s like a little girl whining, and they talk so rudely to people.
I mean I get it, you work at a super hip weed delivery place… So you’re way cooler than anyone on earth. I’m totally jealous and think your amazing. Can I please suck your dick?
Nope, that’s not how this works. In the real world you guys are just one of a million weed dealers out there, and eventually the cool-​factor won’t stop people from looking elsewhere.
You don’t work at fucking Apple so stop acting like you shit roses.

If your lazy or a patient like I, who actually uses marijuana for medical reasons then I’d say this place is a joke. I figured $ 40 for a ¹⁄₈ would be okay. I was completely wrong! I stayed only with Medithrive because of cheap delivery but overall the weed was a waste of money! You’re better off smoking grass or a cigarette. I even purchased items on the $ 60 price and it also still tasted like cigarettes. Now for the joints! Apparently the person cannot role worth a damn! You always end up with a fat tip like it’s giving birth lol. Now for the drivers! Overall I found them chill till one of there drivers decided to say I was no longer able to purchase from them. I was given no explanation, so if anything I’ll just say they’re homophobic. Note to the owner, your drivers steal from you. I was given stamps on several occasions that were not valid. This place once again is just a joke. They aren’t about patients who actually need medication. They are all about scamming people in my eye. Sell weed that actually gets you stoned!

Best delivery in sf! The staff is always friendly and really knowable. They also offer some sweet deals during the week so definitely check them out. Fast. Reliable. Good herb. What more could you ask for?

I love the service and the people. I feel confident and know I am not only getting the best quality for my medical needs, but I an dealing with knowledgeable staff. I have met some of the most knowledge people in the field. They care about you and their product. 10 star overview, service, customer service, product & knowledgeable staff.

Seriously. Best. Buds. EVER. Im always blown away by their top shelf selection. I mean, drooling-​over-​it-​dont-​want-​to-​even-​smoke-​it kinda dank. Ive given other deliveries a shot and while their staff is nice too, the consistency and quality of their product isnt anywhere near the same level. The staff is genuinely AWESOME and if Im in a rush they promptly take my order and when I have questions they really take their time, not to mention the drivers are the chillest! Killer deals, hella freebies, one very satisfied patient.

I love the variety that Medithrive offers. I have been to many medical dispensaries all over california and I am very pleased with the quality of the medicine. Personally i love to get the cookie monster :) I love the name but, i really love the way it gets me very medicated. I never been to much of a edible kind of person… Until…I tried the caramel corn. man oh man was it delicous and very effective. Honestly i can’t go camping without that stuff. In my opinion you get what you pay for… and i have no problem paying for a 4 gram eighth of some «FIRE»

Medithrive has the best Girl Scout Cookies in the Bay. Always very pungent and potent. I’ve also really been enjoying their Cookie Monster for its freakin brain melting high + medical qualities. :-) These guys also have a huge selection of top shelf edibles and concentrates, many of them made 100% local. Super quick and easy delivery, signing up was a breeze, I «Highly» recommend ;-)

I am so happy with Medithrive. They are always friendly, on time and professional. They treat their customers really well and I love how easy they make it for me to get to feelin good :-)

The review in the past I wrote was for the Medithrive retail location, not this BS delivery service.
This is the second time they did some funny stuff over a delivery, and it will be the last. The delivery itself was prompt but they again failed on the order.
I ordered a «concentrate puddy» yet I get a dry hash (that was not on par with a $ 60 from anywhere else) the hash I got was more like a $ 30 – 40 range. I go to many dispensaries and nobody else has this kind of terrible service or lying (over the phone) about their product. Never again will I order for delivery, and that goes for any condition: rain, sleet, snow, earthquake I will take my lazy ass to a local club.

Nice people, prompt and knowledgable. Fast delivery time, great first time customer discounts and reasonable prices. Good selection, and good looking medicine.

Medithrive is an exceptional medical cannabis establishment. Their staff is up-​to-​date with current trends in the cannabis community, and they elicit a true feeling of compassion each and every time I’m greeted at the front doors.
I found myself compelled to share my thoughts about this dispensary, because many reviews are founded on a misnomer: indica and sativa are NOT downers and uppers, respectively. The best way for you to identify the value of the strain is to SMELL it!

I love to play with the moss on the walls while I wait in line. Is that stuff real? I’ll never know, because as soon as I’m called to the counter I forget all about it.
The staff is really friendly: super high and super talkative. Meds are of medium to high quality. Prices are high but not exorbitant, and ultimately justifiable if you like buying weed in a place that feels totally safe and legitimate.
Must-​try: the Dabney Blue. Although it’s an 100% indica strain, it won’t induce couch-​lock unless you really go big. It’s a relaxing, giggly, music-​and-​shower-​enhancing strain that, as far as I know, is unique to MediThrive’s shelves.

I love this place! It’s clean efficient and honest, no skimping on the weight.
The staff is knowledgeable and clearly know their products. It’s my favorite of them all.

I had heard mixed reviews from people all over the city about this place and I figured the only way I would get an accurate review of the place would be to try it out myself. I work in the mission so it was convenient that they are open late, as I could stop in after I got into work.
Yea the place looked nice and all that but on top of that it seemed like they were trying to «woo» you into liking the establishment.
As I went to be helped, the budtender was friendly with a smile but when she suggested I try a strain I told her I have had that before and was not what I was looking for. We argued over this for a bit before she realized I knew what I was looking for– and it wasnt what she suggested. I ended up with their Cotton Candy. When I got home and opened my tin I saw that the nugs werent handled and packaged as well as they could have been and vaguely looked similar to what was shown to me in their display.
It was decent smoke, but not for the price. I would rather get a similar strain for $ 45 delivered to my house from Green Cross.
Probably wont go back to this place unless I have no medicine at home and it is too late to head to a different dispensary.

Since I discovered them last summer, Medithrive seemed to be spending most of its money on advertising. I have seen more ads/​flyers/​tents/​posters/​vehicles for this place than any other dispensary.
However after being a patient for a while now, I am a fan, and don’t care how much advertising they do. It’s a very conveniently located, clean modern space with friendly, knowledgable staff and high-​quality product.
The prices put me off for a while, but between the fact that the eighth’s are 4 grams and that tax is included, its actually pretty fair. A $ 55 eighth at a competitor would come out to $ 60.23 after 9.5% sales tax, and will most likely be 3.5g.
Since last year there’s been one big change. You used to be able to trade in 10 tins for a free gram. Then it was 12. Then 15, 20, and eventually they got rid of the whole system (apparently people were going through their garbage), replacing it with a punch-​card. You get 2 punches with the purchase of an eighth, 1 punch for buying a gram, 1 for every $ 15 of edibles, and when you get 10 you get a free gram. However, you get NO punches for buying something on sale, which is often the best deals. And, the expiration date on mine was 2 months from when I got it.
The new patient deal is also much less than it used to be, but if you refer a friend afterwards you both get a medijoint (which aren’t that great, can sometimes be made with medicine of questionable quality).
Besides the deals slowly getting worse, I say MediThrive is still a front-​runner of the city’s upscale cannabis clubs, and being located at 16^th & Mission, it’s just so convenient for so many.

Medithrive rolls their medi joints with leaves and stems, that’s why people think its tobacco.
Trust me, its not tobacco, I smoke about 8 – 15 spliffs a day, the medi joint is just total shwag and leaves, and a lot of the time, those leaves are brown.
The real thing people should be complaining about is the bait and switch that is constantly happening at medithrive.

I discovered this place because I work out next door at J&K fitness. The door is opaque white along with the windows, which affords the place some discretion in one of the skeeziest neighbs around.
The people who work here are always kind and do their job well. Occasionally I’ve had somebody space out on me but overall I like these guys and gals and they are super friendly and helpful.
The store is gorgeous, with strains popping vibrantly in slender glass jars. You are allowed to smell any strain.
Prices are awesome, the 4gram ¹⁄₈ is incentive alone to stop by, and the frequent buyer card almost always overflows every 2 visits (you get a card punched for smoke, edibles, clones etc). They give out a joint often with purchases but I think it has tobacco and it really hurts my throat besides tasting really nasty. I do agree that they shouldn’t advertise it as a «joint» if this is the case, because many people HATE tobacco. This is a caregiving place and I’d hate to think they were handing out something so toxic like tobacco.
Also their Bliss «Stroopwaffle» is the bomb but two other pharmacies within a 5 minute drive of Medithrive sell it for 2 $ cheaper. (Medithrive sells theirs for 12 $, other places are 10 $).
4 stars for my favorite pharmacy overall. Also if you have the iPhone app, there are daily deals/​freebies. Enjoy!

Awesome friendly place. Everyone is real relaxed and friendly. Show your doc recommendation and check in, no appt necessary, plenty of street parking, in and out in 20 min and I was first time in and quality selection of meds with some edibles and concentrates.
Be careful not to crush your free gift like I did by stuffing it in my pocket with the round tins.
Invest in a metal grinder, price, but better then getting sticky fingers and collect over time some nice keef powder.
Easy 2^nd time check in, you just give your name or member number. Love this place. The online Menu is updated hourly, even has an iPhone app. The strains come and go every couple weeks, my favs are: Northern Lights X Bubba Kush, Orange Velvet, Super Lemon Haze, White Widow, Vanilla Dream, MSM Mr Nice, Gemstone, Durban Poison

The main thing people talk about when they review Medithrive is the atmosphere, and I must say, I really wasn’t impressed. Not to say the atmosphere isn’t well dressed, but painting the walls burnt orange isn’t enough to make me a repeat customer. I’m a hard sell: I don’t care about gimmicks (free programs like yoga, 4 gram eighths, etc), all I care about are medicine quality, knowledgeable staff, and an accurate and organized menu. These are the only criteria I base my ratings on, though I try to always list perks that are available from each dispensary in my reviews.
The menu is on a video screen, which is cool, but it was divided into 2 sections instead of 3: «indica/​hybrid» and «sativa/​hybrid». *RED FLAG* I still wanna try this place out and get my freebies for my first time (only the edible for the Sticky coupon, they were out of pre-​rolls for the first time visitors), but I am in shock at the prices. I mean, I’ve looked at their menu on StickyGuide before, so I knew in advance that their eighths are all 4 grams, which of course raises the prices, and it says that all the pure indicas they have are $ 60 an eigth.
I told the budtender that I do not pay Los Angeles prices for buds in SF, that I’m seeking a heavy indica for my insomnia (and also anxiety), and that I do not like sativas at all because they only make insomnia and anxiety worse. I was saying this because I was prepared to thank her for her time and head to another dispensary for some top-​quality pure indica at a reasonable price. This was after she suggested several hybrids for my insomnia stating the «uplifting» effect as a benefit. It’s a huge peeve of mine when I tell a budtender that I am treating insomnia/​anxiety and they reccomend something «uplifting,» like that’s a selling point to someone that can’t fucking SLEEP and is totally neurotic all the time.
She looked at me like she understood my needs exactly, nodded her head, and said that Ron Burgundy has the heavy effect I’m looking for and will help my insomnia. I still wasn’t really buying it, but I must admit that I was intrigued by the 4-​way genetic cross of different purples. I know purple doesn’t nessecarily mean pure indica as well, but I figured I would try this anyway if she thinks it will work. $ 50 for 4 grams is not bad at all!
3am that night; my brain is still wide awake from the stresses of the day and the anxieties of tomorrow. I smoked 2 bong-​loads of Ron Burgundy in quick successtion to get an intesne sedative effect and laid down in bed. 4am; my brain is still racing as if I were dead sober. I trusted the budtender, and she sold me medicine that does not fit my needs at all.
Today, I tried calling Medithrive several times only to reach a constant busy signal. I went to Medithrive with the remainder of my eighth and spoke with a gentleman about my situation with hopes that I could perhaps return it or exchange for an actual indica. The first thing he said is that Ron Burgungy is actually a pure indica, to which I replied that their own StickyGuide menu names Ron Burgundy as an indica-​dominant hybrid (
). Another gentleman said that all of their indica-​dominant hybrids are good for insomnia.

Are you kidding me? If that’s what you think, you are seriously undereducated on the uses of indica and sativa and you obviously don’t know shit about how insomnia works. Indica dominant hybrids are NOT good enough for insomnia… it’s like suggesting a sleeping pill that contains a percentage of caffeiene. My insomnia doesn’t say, «oh, well that’s 70% indica, so good enough! Let’s go to bed!» That’s not how it works. It’s more like, «well well well! it looks like there’s some sativa in here! Let’s keep on thinking and being wide awake and anxious all night!!!» If you believe that a hybrid is good enough for somebody with insomnia, then you yourself must have only experienced some OCCASIONAL SLEEPLESSNESS in your life. Must be nice.
This is not a stupid mistake, this is a huge deal! When dealing with medical cannabis and medical cannabis patients, it is the partial responsibility of the dispensary and the budtenders to know the basic different between indica and sativa, what they treat, and provide the patient with the proper medicine.
