History

Established in 1867.

Mayes Oyster House is the oldest standing seafood restaurant in San Francisco. This historic, circa 1867 oyster house recently underwent a revamp and resurection. The menu serves up San Francisco favorites (like clam chowder and louis salads) while introducing new delicacies like seared ahi tuna with foie gras. Indulge at the fresh raw bar, stocked daily with oysters, clams, poke, shrimp and salmon carpaccio. Fantastic martinis and extensive wine list make it a very happy hour indeed. all the tastes are rich but the prices are anything but. Come down to Mayes for delicious new cuisine and cocktails at an old San Francisco classic.

Meet the Manager

Courtney S.

Manager

I have been working for Mayes for several years, first as a bartender and eventually made my way up to a manager. I love working here and hope that when customers come in they feel a sense of community and have a great time! Cheers!
