Matt and Britton are an incredible team! They’re experienced, professional, knowledgable about their industry, patient with the learning curve of new buyers, and were extremely intuitive and thoughtful when helping us find exactly what we were looking for in a home.
My husband and I have a three year old, and are pregnant with our second. We were looking for a new home for our growing family. I feel like our circumstances might really put Matt and Britton to the test. We needed to find a new home, and fast (within a three month time frame — before the second baby arrived), in a market with very little inventory, preferably without breaking the bank… And in San Francisco!
I thought for sure that it couldn’t be done. But within days of meeting with and agreeing to work with Matt and Britton, they had us booked to look at several available properties within our price range. They were relentless in their search and incredibly patient and supportive while we determined our priorities and preferences in a home.
When we finally found a place that we wanted, they were there for us every step of the way… Matt was in constant communication with us and kept us abreast of every development during the transaction, right up to the day that he handed us the keys! No question went unanswered and no concern was too small to address. I learned so much throughout the process.
We’re now in our beautiful new home with time to spare for nesting and preparing for baby :0)

Awesome people, super savvy about the market, knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and they move fast. We worked mainly with Matt, but Britton a bit as well. No regrets, will call them for my next purchase and refer whenever possible.

We bought our home in SF in 2006, and were absolutely thrilled with our experience with Matt and Britton. I’ve recommended them to friends, and they’ve been excellent about following up, even years after the sale. They offer very personalized service, and have Zephyr to back them up with all of the infrastructure and support that one would expect. Highly recommended.

My wife & I worked with Britton and Matt for about five months looking for our first home in early 2011. We were clueless but had friends who had glowing reviews of their agents, and referred us to these two. During our search, we were in constant contact with both and they were more then responsive. We would walk through houses that we didn’t like (or were out of our range — either price or size) but would describe what we did like about a certain room or entryway. Matt & Britton took all of this information and easily pointed us into directions and locations we hadn’t thought of. While my wife is a perfectly normal person, i’m probably considered slightly crazy and this didn’t bother them at all.
I won’t say we had a difficult negotiation with our final purchase, but as a first time buyer it probably always feels that way. However, Britton handled everything! Very communicative, easy to get ahold of, and a tough bargainer. We always knew where we stood and what might turn into a problem before it was a problem. She suggested fantastic inspectors and a top top top notch mortgage broker.
After watching many housing hunter shows and home inspection shows, I have to say that none of those TV personalities have anything on Matt & Britton. I can’t get over the experience we had with them and how happy I would be to recommend them.

Maybe I am biased because this is my first house and NEVER thought I would find something I liked and could also afford in SF… but I DID and Britton Jackson helped me find it. We started off two years ago (2008) looking at everything under the sun in my price range. Condos in high rises downtown, fixer uppers in Glen Park and Mission, two-​unit buildings I could go in on with friends, etc. You name it, we looked at it. We were all over the place, but Britton made the searches invaluable. («What are my options? What are the pros and cons?») Every Sunday, off and on for two years. Lordy, it was like we were married. Despite her tenacity to uncover gems in the tight market and because of my Capricorn-​esque tendency to hate everything that wasn’t up to my exacting standards, the effort felt futile.
But then (cue the angels singing in heaven…) we discovered a little treasure. Britton helped me to to look past the 1950’s finishes and some of the scruffier aspects to the floors, walls and windows, yard and lack of storage space and see the potential. The bones were great. The price was perfect. The location, fab. After two years, we had found the needle in the haystack. In 30 days I was the proud owner of my new home and earnestly beginning a year long remodel.

I highly recommend Britton Jackson for anyone looking for a residence in SF with exacting standards. She will work hard for you, guide you through this crazy market, and eventually, together, you’ll unlock your own little American Dream.

Where to begin? We were referred by a close friend to Matt and Britton to buy our first home– and we couldn’t be more pleased! We had them in our corner every step of the way… from late night texts and panicked phone calls, to weekend open-​houses and off-​key visits to look at blueprints. I think at some point, Britton even held my hand. Dare I say I like her more? ;-)
We had no idea the journey we would embark upon in this so-​called ‘housing slump’! I wouldn’t say that we expected to walk into the first home and that it would become our ‘forever home’… but why not the second or third? Is that so much to ask? Perhaps my desire for ‘instant gratification’ needed a bit of adjustment? Alas, patience is a virtue I lack. Thankfully– Matt and Britton made up for that in spades.
If this is what’s considered a «buyer’s market»… then we hate to think of how things were with the big boom!
Our process began in May– and wrapped up at the end of August. As you can imagine, we encountered many hurdles along the way… fixer-​uppers that would be best ‘fixed’ with a wrecking ball. Horrendously incompetent (and scheming sellers and selling agents)… and well, everything in between. See my posting here:

It seemed that we had a knack for unknowingly choosing complicated properties! Matt said we had «bad house karma»… but that they’d work their magic! And work their magic they did! They even got us in to see houses that were ‘by appointment only’, that we all knew we couldn’t (and possibly shouldn’t, IE bullet proof vests would be required for traversing the neighborhood) buy!
Matt and Britton helped us put strong offers in on multiple properties– and were there to soften the blow when they didn’t pan out for one reason or another. Did I mention that they were always there– and always patient and full of good humor along the way? We had pretty clear criteria of what we were looking for on some levels… and thought we’d have to compromise them to get something we’d be «happy with»… it ended up that we had our wish list (and more!) fulfilled! I feel that other agents would have told us that we needed to be more realistic.
Matt and Britton were honest with us throughout the entire process– patient, funny, EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the market in San Francisco… and committed to helping find something that would be right for us today… and that we could build upon tomorrow.
In short… we adore them… and extremely thankful that we now have two more fabulous friends!
So, not only have we gained a house that we’re extremely terrified… er… excited about moving in to… they were able to assist us with making a solid business decision that will put us ahead of the game when the time comes to sell and upgrade into something bigger and better. Without Matt and Britton– we probably wouldn’t have been able to pull off this ‘long-​shot property’! Their advice, hard work, and reputation was able to jockey us to the front of the queue of offers.
The icing on the cake is that they use DocuSign throughout the process– so there was no running to and from the office or endless faxing of signed pages… it was generally pain free!
We have already recommended them to friends who are selling their houses, and might be interested in buying. When the time comes for our investment property– we will be asking Matt and Britton to assist us again!

And thank you, John Kirkpatrick for being a slimy douchebag… so that we didn’t end up with a house that in retrospect, would have been great… but not AS great as the one we landed in!

Matt was our primary realtor and he and Britton were terrific! We sold our condo in 2011 when there were at least 4 other condos in our building (total units about 70) for sale. We had moved out of town and he and Britton took care of the minor repairs, staging, and all the other details. What I liked best is that they not only did the usual open houses, but held evening open houses and reached out in their marketing to make sure that other agents and potential buyers knew about our place. Also, they kept us apprised of what was happening every step of the way. They were straightforward about pricing, an eventual reduction, etc. I cannot recommend them enough. A few years ago, maybe lots of people could sell real estate. Today, it is a different story for sure (we took an expected loss). Matt and Britton are the professionals who can get the best price possible in a volatile market. Couldn’t recommend them more highlyl!

Britton and Matt have helped me buy and sell two homes in San Francisco over the last 10 years. I continue to work with them and recommend them to everyone I know because they’re fantastic real estate agents: They’re experts in every aspect of the buying and selling process, amazing with comps and numbers, and know every micro-​climate and micro-​neighborhood in San Francisco. Even better, they’re both great people who I’d want to hang out with anyway. Buying and selling real estate, especially in The City, can be a stressful and emotional experience. Britton sold me my condo in 2002 and I couldn’t have been happier with Jackson/Fuller’s service. Prompt, professional, intelligent, customer-​centric. Britton and Matt helped us with our 1^st home purchase and were absolutely wonderful. Despite the fact our short-​sale purchase was a ton of work, that they must have numerous clients, and that their overall commission for our home must have been smaller than from most of their other clients… they ALWAYS made us feel like we were their only client; always amazingly responsive, extremely helpful and perpetually patient with us.
Without a doubt we’d recommend them to anyone in the real estate market, and of course they will be the first folks we call if we move in the future.

My wife felt I wasn’t sufficiently positive in my previous five-​star review and, having been around the block another time with Matt and Britton in our journey to buy a short sale in SF (not successful but a damn good try) I have to say she is right.
In our lives, each of us counts on many purveyors of services. Some will be awful, most hopefully competent, a few will rise to the top. But I can’t think of too many times when I have been working with a professional and thought wow, this really is a whole other level of service and intelligence. That is what is like to work with Britton and Matt

Yesterday I officially moved into the absolutely most perfect house — for ME! I can’t say enough about how on top of everything Britton and Matt were. And one of the biggest parts of what makes them so amazing is their understanding that my perfect house is not the same as someone else’s. I mostly worked with Britton but Matt was right there to provide backup for the one weekend Britton happened to be out of town which happened to be when my inspection report came back saying the house needed a new foundation!!! Yikes!!!
If it hadn’t been for the fact that they selected such a good inspector I might not have known about the foundation issue because it wasn’t obvious. At that point many other agents might have pushed me to give up on the house in the face of such a monumental challenge. But they understood all the reasons that I wanted THIS house and so worked hard to get concessions from the seller so that I would not be saddled with the cost of the new foundation. But they also worked with me to make sure I understood all the implications of the foundation and some other «issues» with the house. Then they held my hand through a traumatic financing process. And now I own MY dream house! Yay Britton and Matt!!! I cannot recommend them highly enough.

For TWO YEARS Matt & Britton have been patiently showing us houses and condos and answering our questions. Today that came to an end as we closed on a place that knocked out all our ‘must-​haves’. Matt and Britton are experienced, really smart people who provided both accurate information as well as some emotional support during what is a pretty big life event. They are incredibly responsive and flexible, and they both have a sense of humor, which makes everything a little easier.

We’ve been in our new place for about 7 months, but just thought I’d add this note now because it has proved to be very smooth sailing thanks to Britton and Matt.
They had a knack for figuring out our taste and within a month came across what is now our condo during a brokers tour. They immediately thought of us so Britton got us in for a sneak preview before the open house. We loved it and got a jump start on putting our offer together. It was a bit of whirlwind but Britton saw us through and we closed on the place about three weeks later. And now — 7 months later — I’m especially happy to say that we’ve been spared many of the first-​time-​home-​owner trials and tribulations. All told, she took the time to get to know us and really helped us make the choice that was right for us.

Five star service all around! People say that buying your first house is one of the most stressful experiences, let me say this was not the case with Britton and Matt. They started us off on a real estate primer course, teaching us the ins and outs of SF real estate, then came the open houses where they all but held our hands. Our first offer was scary but Matt drove downtown and met me in person, taking the time to address all my crazy fears and anxieties. When it finally came time to close we didn’t feel any anxiety or remorse, we were so confident in the choice they helped us make.
Their knowledge of the San Francisco market and their connections with other agents were a huge value. Matt is a whiz at comps and numbers, he nailed every estimate he made at sales prices and provided fantastic comp analysis. Britton got to know us amazingly fast and seem to instinctly know what we were looking for — even when we couldn’t articulate it ourselves.
Not only did they help us find a place they found us a lender, movers, a floor guy and so much more. I can’t imagine anyone making this process easier on us.
Now that the process is over and we have moved in I still find myself wanting to call them and get their advice, even on things that have nothing to do with real estate!

Matt is GREAT! We used him in the height of the market and it took almost a year to make a successful bid. Matt stuck with us through it all. It didn’t stop there. Since we’ve bought and moved in MAtt has become an anvaluable resources. He saved our butt one time, which we don’t get into the details of. Suffice to say, he was there when we needed him, and responded immediately. Matt and Britton are a great team. Britton only had to fill in one time, but she handled us as if she was there the entire time. We’ve been here for over two years now, and Matt is still there for us. You won’t be disappointed! Lastly, we have to mention Patty Souza for your financing. If you don’t know her, you need to. This is a must. We owe Matt for introducing. We’ll use Matt and Britton next time, and the next time, and the next time. :)

Matt and Britton are great to have on your side as you go through the often trying process of buying or selling real estate in SF. In fact, we went though both sides with them, buying when we first arrived in SF, and then selling when we recently moved away. They were super helpful and understanding throughout – and so we’ll definitely be back in touch with them if and when we return to the Bay!
