2. Right before we were closing, the market dropped further and he went the extra mile to let me know about it, which meant a whole new application process. He didn’t have to do that, I wouldn’t have known. This shows integrity.
3, He has a great sense of humor.
4. He has a matured understanding of financial markets and his predictions have been spot on.
5. Everything went perfectly and I’m in a new mortgage, paying hundreds of dollars less a month– with no fees through out.

this isn’t an exaggeration: mathew helped us to buy a house more than any of my family members, combined. let me back up.
in 2011, my buddy referred us to him as we were looking for a house. we ended up not getting one, but the attention he paid to us and his availability and patience were fantastic for two timid home buyers. even when our ideas weren’t the best, he listened and tried to do what he could with what he was given :)
we ultimately abandoned that search, but came back again this year. i emailed and he remembered us still, totally welcomed us back. we had a really short time frame to work in due to an OMI eviction, and mathew moved mountains for us. he was on the phone with our sluggish and unresponsive credit card company daily for two weeks to try and get them to confirm they’d dropped an erroneous late payment report. he guided us in how he could help us make our offer more competetive in what’s perhaps the most insane housing market known to man, and was always there to respond to any emails we sent. the most amazing part? he does all this with a wry sense of humor.
i’ve only written like three Unilocal reviews ever (actually, this might be my second) because i’m not generally moved to. if a place is good i’ll tell my friends about it, but i figure there’s enough people Unilocaling shit that my two cents aren’t really that important. the way mathew runs his business genuinely made me want to go out of my way and holler from the mountaintops. he deserves a 10+ star rating. he’s awesome.

I’ve financed and refinanced my home with Mathew numerous times over the last 10 years and he has been wonderfully easy to work with. He get me great rates and always calls back when I have a question. He can actually explain finances in plain English, which is rare. He and his team are very reliable. I don’t imagine I will ever go to anyone else
