History

Established in 1988.

I began my private practice in San Francisco at the Marina Counseling center in 1988. In 1991 I started my private practice in the inner Sunset area of SF, then about 5 years later moved to the inner Richmond area of SF. I also work in San Rafael.

I started my counseling career in Santa Fe, N.M. in 1985 working at La Otra Puerta (the Other Door) — a shelter for runaway and homeless teens. 2 years later I moved to the Bay Area and got a M.A. degree in counseling psychology from the Cal Inst. of Integral Studies in San Francisco (1989). During this time I worked at a Suicide prevention center, 2 centers for teens, 2 centers for people with serious mental disorders and the Family Service Agency of Marin County — the child sexual abuse team. I started my private practice in San Francisco in 1988 (also in San Rafael, CA). I work in an eclectic way bringing in a number of approaches in my counseling work. My general way of working is client centered and humanistic.
