Comprehensive Ophthalmology
I provide compassionate and skilled care in comprehensive ophthalmology as well as specialized treatment for cataracts and corneal diseases, such as Fuchs Corneal Dystrophy and Keratoconus. Using the latest technological advancements, I tailor my treatment plans to address each person’s individual needs and when appropriate, I can offer advanced eye surgery including suture-less cataract surgery with astigmatism and/or presbyopic correction, corneal transplants such as DMEK or ultra-thin DSAEK, and keratoprosthesis implantations. In addition, I evaluate patients for LASIK, photorefractive keratectomy, implantable collamer lenses, refractive lens exchange, and Latisse treatments.
History
Established in 2007.
While I was born in Taiwan and am fluent in Mandarin, I grew up on the East Coast. After graduating magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, I pursued a medical degree at SUNY Downstate College of Medicine in Brooklyn, NY where I stayed to complete an Ophthalmology Residency. I continued studying the eye in a Cornea, External Disease and Refractive Surgery fellowship at the prestigious Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins and was honored with the Aliki Perroti Scholarship and Walter J. Stark Research Award.
I also serve as the Chief of the Cornea Service at California Pacific Medical Center where I teach residents complex cataract and corneal surgery. My training, research, and dedication has led to national lecture invitations or paper presentations at conferences held by The Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins, Stanford University, The Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
