Stopped here before a show last Friday night and it was hopping. I had the Hell Raiser(for my wife’s sake I hope this isn’t one of those«you are what you eat» nights) and Porkys(good thing I did not combine this with«the Jerk»). My wife had the Schoomer and one other. I would definitely have the Hell Raiser again. Porkys not so much. 3 is about right for a normal appetite. Combined this with an Old Potrero Rye Whiskey which worked out well. Polished the meal off with an ice cream slider which was a great way to wrap things up.

Boa opção para uma refeição rápida. Cardápio limitado tanto em bebidas como comida. Apesar disso, os sliders são excelentes.

I fell in love with this place during one of my many excursions in SF. The back bar area is wonderful to hang out in, especially when the roof is open! If you have not been here I highly recommend a visit, but have not had an entire meal here. It’s more of a sit and have a drink spot.

Found this place by accident. Great service. Fun pub. Had some sliders and a cocktail or two. Server was most helpful with things to do in the area. Give it a try.

Solid HH spot, but the HH menu itself is rather limited. Just wine, draft beer, maybe one cocktail and only queso in terms of food. Otherwise, cocktails(or at least the one I got) are $ 11. They aren’t weak though! Go with the Kentucky Mule if you’re like me and aren’t into super sugary cocktails. I didn’t try much of the food. Just the fries and sweet potato fries, which were pretty solid. Crispy and thin cut is definitely the way to go with fries! The space itself is a pretty nice spot. My group was out on the patio in the back, where there’s a bar with seating as well as tall tables. Good atmosphere overall.

Don’t you hate when you have to decide between two or three mouth-watering options on the menu? Forget that! You can choose multiple options here from the slider-style menu. Marengo kills it with the brunch options. I typically choose two or three breakfast sliders from the menu depending on if my table orders their amazing queso. My favorite sliders are the Huevo Ranchero, Chicken ‘n Waffle, and Mini Breakfast Taco. This place also serves yummy cocktails. I love the La Paloma and Bellini! My only complaint is that they don’t offer bottomless or pitchers of Mimosas. You can typically be seated shortly after arriving. It doesn’t get overly crowded like other brunch places do unless there is a game on. So, for all you brunch lovers out there, Marengo is a must!

I agree with one of the other reviews that this place is hit or miss. Came here for a quick dinner and got a variety of sliders — some were fantastic and others were okay. Old fashioneds were on point though! Definitely have a great selection of bourbons and whiskeys.

We just happened upon this place on a girls weekend to San Francisco. What a great find it was! The menu has a great variety of sliders and all the ones we tried were great! My favorite is the Porky. If you don’t want sliders, there is a nice selection of salads. Every time we are in San Francisco this is a must eat place! Service is great too!

Walked in around 11am on a Saturday with my boyfriend and to our surprise and luck, we were immediately seated. Although I’m not speaking from experience as to how busy this place is, I can imagine it gets really packed since 1) it’s a place where people can brunch, 2) it’s in SF, and 3) it’s in the Marina neighborhood which seems to be a really great spot for brunching. While the brunch menu is somewhat limited(it’s basically about the breakfast sliders and drinks), everything we got here was delicious. My boyfriend and I shared a salad and 4 breakfast sliders(2 chicken & waffles, 1 monte cristo, and 1 huevos rancheros). My faves were the chicken & waffles slider and the monte cristo slider. We were sitting at the bar and watched them make every slider as they were ordered. Seeing each slider come out ready to be served just made me hungrier and hungrier. The atmosphere here is nice. It’s cozy but doesn’t feel too cramped, and the retractable roof is cool. There’s more seating in the back area that seems to be more about whiskey… I’m going to need to come back here and check that out. As great as this place is, I do feel, however, that the items are overpriced. It’s almost $ 5 for one small slider, so it’s very easy to rack up quite a bill. I could get way more delicious brunch food at the other places in the Marina neighborhood for the same price as our bill. As much as I like this place, I can’t see myself visiting very frequently.

They had me at retractable roof. If it’s a clear sunny day, you can sit in the back, with absolutely nothing between you & the sky. If it’s not a clear sunny day, you can still sit in the back. Because they’ve got you covered. Literally. I love sliders. But breakfast sliders? Where can you get breakfast sliders? Right here. And I love monte cristo’s. Ever have a monte cristo slider? You can. Right here. If there’s a game on, this is a great spot. If you just want a drink under the sky, this is a great spot. Plus, the staff are upbeat & cool. But, they had me at retractable roof. 4 stars.

Love this place for their queso and sliders Must get — queso over fries Sliders! All American slider, mushroom slider, pork ribs and chicken/waffle My fav is all American slider One person serving — 4 sliders and queso fries or tater tots will get u full Peach julep is a must Sometimes it gets busy but service is a ok. U might not get any attention from a server because it gets very busy and loud during the weekend but don’t hesitate to flag down them!

Okay, Marengo redeemed themselves & gained its +1 star after the bf & I came back for Sunday brunch & got to try their chicken & waffle slider. Absolutely delicious & not overly sweet — a nice light batter of fried chicken between 2 soft waffles w/powdered sugar on top & a side of syrup… yummy & savory Every sliders that I have tried have yet to disappoint me. The experience has been good & service has been friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

5 stars for being the only place in the marina cow hollow area(that I know of) to have frickles!!! I am obsessed with frickles and think they make a great appetizer or a side to compliment their delicious sliders! My favorites are the banh mi and short rib one. So full of flavor and the perfect size! I love that you buy each slider individually rather than as a set. This allows me to try all the different sliders that they have! The ambience is nice if you’re having a nice casual dinner before going out. It’s a very loud environment so definitely not a place for an intimate date night but such a fun place for groups(:

Strolled by on a Saturday around noon, originally intending to go to Umami Burger. We almost passed this place up because it’s not street-level and slightly tucked away from passer byers. We had never heard of it, but took the risk and I’m glad we did. What I love about this place is the portions. I love small portions that are priced accordingly because I would rather have a wider variety of small bitesI can try instead of a large portion of eating the same thing. I love trying a little bit of everything and their brunch menu allows me to do just that and that’s a huge deal to me. Too many times have I ordered a full serving of pancakes when I really just wanted a half of one because they didn’t allow me to order less. At first I didn’t know what to expect of the brunch sliders, but omg they’re doing it right — creative, flavorful, delicious, and cute. Loved their tater tots too. Service wasn’t too painful, but definitely errs on the slower spectrum.

Weekend mornings aren’t about making decisions. Stood in front of a literal wall of chocolates down the street, wanted them all. Walked over to this menu of brek sliders, they all sounded good. Ssso I got all ½ dozen of them. #orderallthedishes #eatallthefoods #doyoueveneatbro (^_^) Gravy #datBiscuitdoe (^_^) Bacon #datBiscuitdoe (^_^) Huevo Rancheros Hermanos (-_^) Countof Monte Cristo Duckula (-_^) smEggol Florentine (-_-) Chicken ‘n Meh ‘n Waffle Next time, I want to get the Dirty Dozen: all 6 brek sliders x all 5 lunch sliders x all 1 dessert slider. It’ll be sick, brah. Maybe literally.

Trying to get a seat anywhere inside or out on a sunny Saturday afternoon? Forget it! Felt bad for the hostess trying desperately to accommodate all of the demanding Marina folk in their Lululemon and Ray Bans. It seemed way disorganized so my +1 and I left. Couldn’t do it.

We stumbled upon this place after seeing the long waits at a bunch of other brunch places. The boy sin our group found their way into the bar next door, but us ladies were famished. I ordered the chicken ‘n waffle slider and the Kentucky mule. I’m usually a traditional Moscow mule person, but the Kentucky mule was pretty good. Still refreshing, but with a peppery taste. The slider was amazing. Fried chicken was nice and crispy without being greasy and the waffle was still crisp and slightly sweet. Add in that syrup and it was heaven in three to four bites! I also got to try a bite of my bf’s Bacon Biscuit slider and Eggs Florentine slider. Both were also pretty solid, but not as good as mine. We also got some tots and fried pickles for the table. Pretty standard fare, but not disappointing either. Our table of 6 ordered an average of 2 drinks and 2 sliders each with the apps for the table and it ended up being about $ 32/each. A little pricey for a slider brunch. Random bonuses: there’s a chubbies and lululemon nearby in case you feel like spending more money.

The three things mentioned most — the queso, the sliders, and the retractable roof — will all be ordered and mentioned during the meal. After drinking way more than humanly necessary at the SF Brew Fest, we wanted a place we could hit up a bit a way that would be good and cheap. Marengo is actually one of our friend’s favorite spots, and I can understand why. The ambiance — outside of the retractable roof — is nothing really note worth. Open kitchen where you can see them crafting the sliders, a bar and patio outside. The bathrooms are really big and nice. So first things first is your order of queso. We drained this thing, while trying to identify the flavors to attempt our own version. Sadly we were too drunk, but this queso is just delicious. Next is the sliders. They have a wider variety including beef patties, fried chicken, turkey, pulled pork and more. And with everyone ordering sliders they do the smart thing where they pile them onto a single tray and bring it over to your table. I went with: The All American — can’t go wrong with the basic beef patty, cheddar cheese, grilled onions. Crispy Chick — crispy fried chicken and corn relish. Yum. But I don’t remember tasting the ranch. Also the corn relish will get everywhere. The Hellraiser — the spicier, fancier version of the All American. Green chili beef patty adds some spice, as does the sriracha glazed pancetta, and jalapeño aioli. Saved it for last and if you like heat, highly recommended. I was debating the Shrimp Poboy, which my friend ordered and he raved about. The Starling also sounded good as a beef alternative. Really liked this place, would gladly return sober or not.

I rarely visit the neighborhood — You know, the street parking is a nightmare — it was an unplanned trip to Marengo on Union. The result? I LOVETHOSESLIDERS! Honestly, I am a big fan of the slider idea — mini burgers say whatttt? It’s perfect for a person like me has a small stomach(it’s not like I can’t eat but I eat less for each meal and I have like 6 meals per day) and a desire of trying all on the menu. Sliders basically fulfill my dream(and desire). The space was really nice, we came on a sunny day and it was warm. It was so nice to eat on the back side where the bars are at. Order a couple sliders and I love the egg benedict(seriously I forgot the name, sorry) slider and chicken & waffle slider. The pancake was fresh and tasteful — I tasted some lemon(juice?) in the pancake, very delightful. We also had fresh juice, I love watermelon juice and I’m glad we ordered it. The experience was great, the servers/bartenders were friendly. We came 30 mins after they opened and there was a plenty of space — soon be filled up when it got closed to the lunch hour. I would love to come back and other small bites!

I am sooo happy that we stumbled upon Marengo for brunch! The food and atmosphere are both a lot of fun. The ceiling-less back patio allows you to soak up the sun without being right on the street. It’s bright and feels like you’re in a house and a garden and a bar all at once. The menu’s concept is so cool — there are a ton of different breakfast and lunch sliders/small items that you order a la carte. I always want to try everything so this is right up my alley. The breakfast sliders especially have some funky, unique combinations — foodies, get excited. I ordered the fried chicken in bacon-maple infused waffle and the monte cristo(mortadella, manchego, jam, Dijon in French toast). Both were delish! I wasn’t that hungry but if I was I probably would’ve ordered 1 or 2 more. They also made a delish Bloody Mary. It was spicy and thick; never got watery like some inferior bloodies I’ve had. Check this place out for an afternoon of drinks or brunch, or maybe to watch football!

After being almost crushed by a bus while driving through downtown San Francisco during rush hour traffic, we really needed a drink! Our server brought my Honig Sauvignon Blanc and my husband’s Italian Pinot Grigio right away after giving her our drink order. She must have noticed how harried we looked and decided we needed instant refreshment to lower our stress level! God bless her soul! Seriously though, we had a great time at this place. Found this place on Unilocal when I was looking for places to eat near the Nike Store, where I needed to pick up my bib for the upcoming Nike Women’s Half Marathon. I was not let down by my fellow Unilocalers. Service here was great even though they were busy and the food was very tasty. My husband so liked this place that he wants to come back soon! The Queso Fundido with Chorizo was so good that my husband was scraping the bowl when it was almost gone to make sure than not a single drop gets wasted! He is such a cheese fanatic! The chips that came with the dip were warm and crunchy and our server refilled our chips plate as soon as she saw that it was getting low. We will definitely order that again. My husband ordered three meatballs sliders and generously gave me a bite of it so I can comment on it for this review. He really liked how hot(as in temperature – he likes his food piping hot when served), tasty and moist the meatballs were. Three is a good number of sliders for a hungry man. I ordered a full serving of the Crispy Chick Salad. It was huge. I had to have my husband finish it for me. The chicken was crispy, moist and nicely seasoned. The greens were lightly dressed with ranch dressing and the corn bits and chopped jicama were nice additions. Would definitely order that again, but in the half serving. We managed to order dessert. They only have one dessert. We had the fresh baked chocolate chip cookie sandwich with ice cream. Our server said both are house made. A perfect ending for the evening. If we’re in the area again, we will definitely come back here to try other sliders, have the queso fundido again, and try one of their cocktails. By the way, for you Bourbon fans out there, they have quite the selection.
