We were looking for good sandwiches and went looking for this place. Turns out they are closed. PERMANENTLY. Don’t bother looking for it.

Good sandwiches, but the menu prices weren’t updated from the Unilocal page(unless I misread it). The baja with roast beef is delicious; it’s under their panini menu, but technically isn’t a panini because it’s on dutch crunch. Regardless, it’s tasty, kind of small for my liking, but worth a try. Solid lunch spot

Friendly, fast, fresh. Paninis of every kind — caprese is solid gold. Barista’s creations are lovely & tasty — even have café au lait, my fav. Sales are done via Square, which I appreciate. Didn’t try the baked goodies(cookies & croissant & muffins), but they looked yummy.

Writing this as I sit in the café. The food is AMAZING… BUT the women who works here is beyond RUDE! She definitely lacks quality customer service and just over general niceness. Didn’t smile or greet me. I told her I came here because of the good reviews on Unilocal and she looked like she could care less! I saw comments about her behavior on here and was hoping they weren’t true, they are! Only thing stopping me from speaking my mind to her is the Garlic Spicy Aioli on the Baja Sandwich!

The lady who’s serving customers is rude. She doesn’t know how to treat customers. I went there three times, but the last one I still don’t understand why she asked me to go Starbucks because she didn’t want to help me the cappuccino I requested. First time in my life I got kicked out from an employee, it’s not worth it to lose a customer without a reason.

I’m shocked by both the high ratings and the awful service we received here. First, when we walked in, the lady behind the counter saw us, but continued chopping vegetables for about five minutes with her back turned to us. Rude. We ordered the«pumpkin chai,» which turned out to be a cheap, store-bought powder mix that you just add hot water to. $ 5 for a cup of that. I asked her what brand the powder was and she rudely looked at me and asked me why I was asking. Then she said it was the best kind. The drink was at room temperature, so my girlfriend asked if she could heat it up because it was«a little cold.» The lady immediately replied«it’s not cold! You’re just used to super hot drinks. That’s different.» Yeah, the drink was nasty and so easy to make at home, not that I would ever want to. And the service is very rude. I can’t believe this place is still in business after so many people have noted this lady’s attitude.

Terrible drink and terrible service. We came into an empty café and after being greeted, it took 3 minutes to put in our order. We ordered a Pumpkin Chai, but the barista wouldn’t tell us what type of powder they use. She made the drink, we paid $ 4.50, and took a sip. Lukewarm at most. So I asked if she could heat it up, and she accused me of only being used to extra hot, and that is different. I agree, but when I order an extra hot drink, I can’t take a sip for at least 5 minutes. This drink was cold. So she grumpily remade the drink(which was still slightly cooler than average) and we left.

For a sandwich, Average at best… Nor is it terribly charming or the woman working there almost seemed annoyed that we were there. Can’t imagine how this place earned 4.5 stars, hmmmm

I had the Baja with roast beef. It was amazing. The spicy garlic and onions really gives it a nice kick!

The location and the ambience didn’t really speak to me(maybe I went in on a slow day) but goddamn do they have an amazing chipotle panini. A nice local business.

3.5 rounded to 4. Popped into Mango’s for a much-needed lunch after a day of traveling. I wanted something that wasn’t too heavy, but just enough to hold me over for dinner that night. The menu appears on a chalk board, showcasing a variety of tasty sandwich options, as well as a smattering of sausage/hot dog items. The Baja Sandwich stood out to me, with my choice of either roast beef or pastrami. I didn’t realize that the sandwich was a hot sandwich. It tasted very good, but it was really greasy, unfortunately. Had I known it was going to be cooked like that I likely would have selected something different. A little too heavy for what I was hoping for. Nevertheless, it still had good flavor and had good execution. Maybe distinguish the hot sandwiches from cold on the menu? Just a recommendation… Anywho, a very good sandwich shop that I would recommend, although a little pricey I think.

This place was good, but doesn’t justify the hype. Party of two here. We ordered hot chocolate, Caesar salad, and Italian sausage, and California sandwich. The prices were good, but the food wasn’t that tasty or filling. Actually left somewhat hungry.

Went to the actual café today and it IS small, but has a cozy feel to it. I sat by the door because it is a nice day. Based on reviews, I had the garlic chicken sandwhich and it was really good! I’ll probably try something else next time as well. The vanilla iced coffee was also good. The owners social skills don’t match up to a lot of reviews I read. She was polite to me, friendly, and made conversation. I will definitely make this a stop whenever I’m in the city.

Delicious food and friendly staff! I ordered the Chipotle Panini w/chicken as recommended by other Unilocalers and it didn’t disappoint. It was made fresh and had a great kick to it. This place also get a thumbs up in my book for having freshly squeezed orange juice.

After the kind of evening I once heard Sir Patrick Stewart describe as a «rather heavy night» I was in the mood for a warm deli sandwich to help settle my stomach. Mango’s did not disappoint. As instructed by many reviews before me I ordered the chipotle roast beef panini. It was prepared in about four or five minutes and brought to my rather small table. Nicely toasted and pressed, the sandwich met expectations. The bread was about ¼″ thick and held together until the final bite. I appreciated the raw onions which complemented the moderate spiciness of the chipotle sauce. At the end of the meal I purchased a chocolate chip and sea salt cookie that also tasted rather good. A good experience all around.

Came here on a rainy day. It was pretty empty and there’s only one lady doing ordering, cooking and cleaning. It took us 20 minutes to order when there’s only one table of customers ahead of us. We were close to give up on that place but the rain kept us there. The lady looked pissed the whole time when we were waiting. not a fan of that experience at all. However, the roasted beef sandwich totally worth the wait! Perfect balance of flavors with cilantro, beef, grilled onion and the sauce. My club sandwich was standard, nothing impressive.

Pros: — Excellent food. One of the best sandwiches in San Francisco. Good prices too. Cons: — Service is terrible. There’s only one person in the shop and she does everything. She’s a very good cook but very quiet and has no customer service skills. — Had to wait over 15 minutes to even order. She was making 2 sandwiches. — Once I ordered took another 15 minutes to get my sandwich — The table next to mine was dirty and we stayed there over an hour and nobody bothered to clean it — my table was sticky. I couldn’t even touch the surface of how sticky it was. Obviously nobody cares about cleaning the tables.

One of the reasons why I love Unilocal.I had a interview across the street but arrived a little early so I figured I’d get a little bite to eat. First I went to a Mexican food spot next door but didn’t look appetizing. So I looked on Unilocal and found this place. Was looking at the menu for a while because I couldn’t decide on what to try. So I asked the gentleman what do customers or what’s popular. He mentioned the«Chipotle Panini with chicken or roast beef» and the«California panini». I decided on the Chipotle panini with roast beef. It was delicious. Customer service was great & I will definitely be back to try other sandwiches.

I used to live in Cuba when I was a gun runner/interior designer. Not since then have I had such a delicious sandwich. You can’t go wrong but I’ve had the Baja and the chicken chipotle. Both are excellent. I just hope you aren’t in a hurry because she isn’t.
