Customer service from Christina was fantastic. She wasn’t pushy or rushed us in our purchase experience. She answered our questions while juggling other customers and gave a variety of price points to help with our final decision. Delivery service was professional, friendly and on time. The foot of the bed frame had a small scratch, and Mancini was quick to replace and reinstall this piece the next morning. In-​person and phone service were easy to work with throughout– I highly recommend.

Robert was very well informed and helpful, explaining how the mattresses of the top-​line mattresses differed from one another and helping us narrow our choices. He afforded us a good price and threw in a free mattress protector. We look forward to receiving our wonderful new mattress today!

Came in to browse, came out with a brand new matress that fits my need and price point. The sales Jalil recommended me multiple brands and types of bed that I need. Gave me a great discount too. Highly recommend this place and Jalil to anyone looking for a new mattress

Mancini’s return policy is a total hoax. I bought an expensive new mattress without ever trying it in the store because I was assured that it would be comfortable and that I would be able to get a full refund. When it arrived, I covered it with a protector. It was too soft, but under the policy I had to wait at least 30 days before I returned it. I found a craigslist mattress I liked better, so I called mancinis to pick up the one I bought to get my refund. The pick up company conveniently found a small stain that would have been impossible for me to notice when it was delivered and said that I could not return it. Given that the protector was on the whole time, I know that this stain was not my fault and was on the mattress when it arrived. I am confident that if I had been exchanging the mattress rather than returning it they would not have discovered this tiny tiny tiny discoloration. Now I have an expensive mattress that I do not want. Do not trust their return policy– it is a scam.

Jalil was well informed in all of the brands and walked me through the advantages and potential disadvantages of each of the mattresses. He helped me stay within my budget and still get a luxurious mattress! More than just excellent customer service, Jilil was patient and gracious to my 83-​year-​old mother who was with me today and helped her select a new pillow, which we bought as well. My mom can’t wait to get back to buy the electronic mattress lift — and we’ll be buying it from Jilil.

Christina is the Bed Buddha! She was so friendly and accommodating, and completely honest and knowledgeable. She taught us so much about the sleep process and is very intelligent about how your body works to fix your posture when you sleep. My boyfriend ended up going with a TempurPedic Countour Rhapsody Luxe with a 10 year warranty. Definitely ask for Christina to help you, she’s the best!

I was raised to think that Macy’s was the best place to buy mattresses — WRONG! Jalil at Mancini’s on Geary proved otherwise. Jalil’s service and all-​around great attitude made the buying experience actually enjoyable. And the prices are amazing — Mancini’s beat Macy’s hands down (even during Macy’s biggest mattress sale of the year)! Mancini’s is locally owned too! There was another salesperson on the floor — I believe her name is Christine — also had a positive attitude — you could tell that they really like their jobs. Great camaraderie, no hard sells — I can’t say enough good things. Get yourself to Mancini’s!

I love my new Serta Bed I bought at Mancini Sleepworld! It’s money well spent as the quality of the bed is well worth the $ investment towards high quality sleep. Robert B. was our Sales Manager, and he was knowledgeable, courteous and gave us a great deal. I’m really happy with the service and product. Delivery was well organized and executed as well. All aspects of the process were professional and well orchestrated. I would recommend this store if you are in the market for a new bed. Thumbs up!

Awful customer service. Told us we would be financing a LOAN and not a LINE OF CREDIT. Two completely different things. So now we have a credit card for mancini’s sleep world, which we will never use ever again. Yeah the tempurpedic is amazing, but I wish I would’ve gone somewhere else. When we called to say how we had a problem with what we were told vs what was actually happening the manager was nothing, but condescending and rude. Saying that it was basically our fault for not reading the document. He must mean the document we were never given. Definitely learned our lesson. We will only go to an actual tempurpedic store in the future. NOT mancini’s sleep world.

Bought a bed a couple years ago. Helpful sales staff, great deal on bed and frame. When I needed to replace the box spring, the warranty company really sucked. I told Mancini what was going on and they simply replaced it themselves. Very responsive and professional.

On the positive side: good selection, including some brands many chains don’t have. The salesperson (Robert, also a store manager) was well-​informed about the different brands and models, and patient about showing me the various options.
On a less happy note, he used aggressive sales tactics. And the store jacks their prices up REALLY high to offer huge ‘discounts’ for those who negotiate. When they’re discounting prices up to 50% with only a little negotiation, you really have no idea what a fair price should be. Mancini is not alone in this, but it’s still disappointing. Despite all that, I did manage to negotiate what felt like a decent price for the mattress I liked best. But I had just started the shopping process, and needed some time to shop around and think.
This did NOT make Robert happy. I asked if he could give me some information to take home — and he told me to just go look online. Still not dissuaded, I asked him for the model name of the mattress I liked so I could research it – and he was reluctant to share even that. He did give me his business card, which I used to jot down the mattress model and price — at this point he lost any hint of politeness, and suggested I was just gonna use his offer to get a lower price elsewhere. Apparently there’s something underhanded about wanting to leave the store with the name and price of the product you’re thinking of buying?!
The sad thing is that I actually liked the bed, and I think we could’ve agreed on price. I just needed some time to think. But he lost the sale by pressuring me into deciding before I was ready. I may end up going to another Mancini location just to avoid dealing with this guy.

My younger self would not have written this review. My younger self would have fought this nail and tooth; Better Business Bureau, local news, you name it, but, we grow older and tired with added commitments and other priorities; so I am posting this here hoping mine is a cautionary tale:
My partner bought a $ 2,000 mattress little under two and a half years ago with a twenty five years warranty (sigh, right…). About six months ago the mattress (a Serta memory foam cushy one) started deeply sinking on one side, so much so sleeping became unbearable (basically falling to the middle on top of one another). A friend offered a spare and we took them on it while we sort out the warranty. Aside from taking a week, four calls, and a little run-​around we finally got an inspector to come to our place and review the bed for said warranty.
His findings?

Normal Body Impressions within guidelines (Refer to manufacturer’s warranty provided with bed set)
A comfort issue (comfort and/​or firmness are a matter of personal preference at the time of purchase)
Stains found on mattress or box (Stained or soiled bedding nullifies the warranty)»
Now one must ask oneself how indeed does one categorize any of these?
During the inspection the inspector never, not once, checked what happens when one actually lay in it, all he did was take a measure tape and measure *visual* impressions. The sink hole was not visual, I asked, actually more like implored, why is he not checking the actual mattress as the outer frame of it may look ok but it is beyond uncomfortable and therefore «un-​sleepable». His answer: talk to the store.
The «comfort issue» did not bother either of us for two years, so, something must have changed.
Stains, now thats a good one, one 3 inch sweat stain near the headboard (I sweat at night), that voided the warranty? A mattress that goes «dud» because of a 3 inch salt rimmed stained about a good foot away from the sink hole, nice one.
Hopefully this helps someone, somehow, as this warranty is a sham, like so many other companies, you are in the dust once you left the store with a purchase. The good reviews here are odd as the store did not perform to the lofty expectation these stars reflect, notice these are people that just bought the mattress not the experience «after/​when» the mattress failed to deliver on these, apparently, great salesmen.

Honestly, I am shocked by all the positive reviews for this location. My fiancé and I walked in for our first experience mattress shopping. We were greeted by the store manager, who walked us around the store, letting us test out around 8 different beds. He stuck to his script of facts and figures, and was clearly very knowledgeable. Throughout the experience, though, I was treated differently from my male partner. The salesman avoided eye contact with me when it came to discussing numbers or deals. I was going to make the purchase, but clearly, he wasn’t interested in working with me.
When we informed him that we would not be purchasing a bed, he very rudely asked why we came in, and what we expected to happen in terms of purchasing a bed. We informed him that we had never shopped for a mattress, and wanted to get a sense of what our options were. My fiancé extended his hand to thank the salesman for his time, and the salesman did not shake it. He continued to speak to us rudely, realizing he wasn’t going to make a sale. We left the store uncomfortable and surprised by the hostility of this person who told us he was the store manager.
Additionally, while we were in the store, we watched this manager tell off another customer. The customer was engaged with another salesman, and said he was going to grab a bite to eat and come back. The manager, without looking up at the man, said how he’d heard every excuse, and he knew the man was just going to go to one of the competitors, and the man didn’t need to lie about going to eat. The man repeated that he was coming back, and the manager continued to berate him. I feel sorry for the other salesman who clearly was losing a sale over his manager’s unnecessary tactics.
