Mach III

Bought some tires here but the office guy was sleazy. The price wasn’t that great and they wouldn’t give/​write me a receipt. I won’t be going back.

They did a great job replacing my tires without any scratches and did not charge me any additional fees.

I am writing a review that will cover all my times I have visited them since 1993. They have never steered me wrong. They have given me great deals and matched/​beat competitive prices. In the beginning they were a little questionable with their quality of installs when I first met them. Over the years they have improved on that. Most of all why I came back to them was the customer service. They have also have evolved very well with the automotive trends through the years to survive this long. I visited them today to have my new car covered with the custom paint protective film installed by them. Johnson gave me a reasonable price and did more than I expected him to. I inspected the work of course to see any flaws and I could not find any. They back their install as always. I recommend them highly to anyone looking to get this work done at a decent price. They use the Xpel film which I researched to be of high quality and backed by a 10yr warranty. Pricing on this kind of work I know can go upwards to $ 2000 depending on the brand of films the companies use and how much you want to cover.

Great place with very professional service and the prices were reasonable. The staff was friendly and informed in very precise detail of all my options as well as the charges. They were also very efficient and they finished up the service on my car on time as promised. I will definitely go back and highly recommend!

First of all, you will always get an answering machine. it took me a few calls to get through.
The person on the phone was friendly and set up my apt. I arrived 15 minutes early @ 10:45 and the shop on Ocean was closed. I had trouble finding the place so I called and as usual got a machine. I waited till 11:30 and left. I got no call back and evidently there are two locations. If they had answered the phone, I could have found the other location. Unilocal map did not help and that is that. I never had anything done so I cant comment on there work. I am rating on the difficulty of contact.

Great place to find after market parts… prices are pretty good depending on what you are looking for. Some things may be a little higher than online but it’s convenient ordering it through them to make sure you get the correct part.

Had some trouble getting my stance LX coil overs since they were on back order but thats not really their fault. Ordered Tein basics instead and had them installed along with my tires mounted to my wheels and put on the car Great price for everything installed.
They also rolled my rear fenders and did an excellent job on everything.
BTW I don’t know any body at either shop and I still recommend them.

Where do I start? I have taken my above-​average-​modified-​car to Walee and Johnson multiple times, and I leave each time with a smile on my face. Mach III is actually the store front, and the actual car work is done at Faxon Garage, which is right next door.
I have taken my car to Mach III for everything ranging from misc. suspension work, installing a big brake kit, to installing a push start system with keyless entry for my car.
I recently went in to have a push start system + keyless entry system installed for my IS300. I had purchased the unit from somewhere else and had Wyman (one of the techs there) install it on my car. It turned out that the unit was defective, and I had to wait for a new unit to be sent to me. Walee was nice enough to let me leave my car at Mach III for a week while they waited for a new push start unit to be shipped to them!
Once the new unit arrived, they installed it with no issues. Walee (owner), Johnson, and Wyman are all VERY knowledgeable about cars (including modified cars), and they will take GREAT care of you.
The only downside of the garage is that the ramp leading into the garage is somewhat steep. If you’re car is really low, please take extra care in negotiating this ramp. The employees do acknowledge lowered cars, and they do drive very carefully up the ramp to ensure that your lowered car doesn’t scrape the sidewalk.
If you need any work done on your car (excluding bodywork), I highly recommend Mach III! Walee usually answers the phone and schedules the appointments, but make sure you ask for Johnson or Wyman to be your tech as they are the BEST.

Great shop! I used to come here back in the days during the beginning of the decade to cop parts for my civic, ej8 to be exact. Always good service and good price. Then after about five years of being MIA from the car scene I comeback with a different car for alignment, a G35, they definitely know their G’s over here. Drove all the way out there cuz I wanted to go to a place that knows exactly how to align a lowered car. It was worth the drive plus Kris over there kept me company the whole time and has a wealth of car knowledge. Satisfied customer!

I don’t usually write reviews on Unilocal for shops other than food related places but I felt like I need to for this place.
I love my car and have been doing my own modification on her ever since I got it. But sometimes you can’t do everything. My tires went out on me early so I I decided to visit mach3 and see what they have to offer.
Called before hand and was told to stop by so i can get a better idea of what they had to offer. Went in to the shop, was helped right away. The guy was very kind and friedly and I just told him my car make and model and he told me he can get the tires in the next day. Set up an appointment the next day and paid for everything on the spot.
I was greeted very kindly at the garage. Was told the tires will be done in about an hour and of course they were. The job was done nicely and what struck me the most was that they had put my spare tires that I had to put on earlier back in the proper place and adjusted eveything in that area neatly. Overall a very great first time experiece here and will definitely go back for brake changes and coilover replacements

Made an appointment to have my windows tinted on a Saturday and they completely flaked. Wasted my time and gas driving up to the city only to have them leave me hanging. Very unprofessional.
I can’t comment on the quality of their work since I took my business elsewhere.

This is going to be a very thorough review, because this place truly deserves it.
Let me first add, I had no relation to the owners/​workers that worked here. My goal along with everyone else consist of: parts for the best price, labor that is great and fair in price. I called mach3 and about 3 other shops (which I will not name), and they were all higher than the machIII by a couple hundred dollars.
If you’re wondering this was my first project at MachIII:

–Ingalls Camber kit (only install)
–Alignment.
They had the best price like I mentioned, so next up was tech knowledge and labor. I would like to add that when I gave them my car make and model, they knew exactly which type of teins my car supported. I told them I wanted the SS (Super Streets) and it was as easy as that. Other shops kept persistently arguing with me that the SS was not compatible with my car (TL Type-​S.
If you didn’t know MACH III has a garage on Faxon street called «Faxon Garage.» After I picked up my parts at the showroom, I brought it over to the garage (they usually do it for you, but I thought I’d make it easier for them). Walee was the service clerk in which I spoke too and he is also one of the owners of the place. They knew my car was already on the way and quickly started to work on it as soon as my car was there. That is what you call service. Let me add, the TL-​S is not a easy car to work with. It seems like ACURA did not want people to mod this car, for example my stock intake was bolted onto the car. With that said, I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best on the EDFC installation. If you don’t know, it’s a very complicated install. I couldn’t pick up the car the same day due ot my own reasons, but I picked up the car the following day. To my surprise, they did a perfect job. They even gave me a copy of the alignment numbers which is great. There was one slight issue during the EDFC install where the cover was not being flush, but a tech got on it and fixed it within five minutes. Something VERY minor in such a complicated install.
I was extremely happy with my first visit to machiii, and I knew I would be coming back. A couple days later, I worked on my taillights and I needed a shop to home my car for 2 days, since I would be missing my taillights. MachIII happily took my car and housed in inside their garage while waiting for my taillights. Of course, they didn’t just house it for nothing, they were also waiting to put the modified taillights back into the car and install my 48 LED SMT signal bulbs with 6ohm resistors. Once again, a perfect install and zero problems. They knew exactly which wire to tap with the resistors. I want to also add that the price and quality of service was great.
Well, I have more stories but I think you can get the main point I’m conveying here. They are a very REASONABLE shop, not trying to rip you off, and still trying to make a profit. Don’t lowball them, because they are VERY reasonable with their prices already. I never had a conflict where the price was debatable due to unfairness.
This has become my official body/engine/suspension/electrical/+more shop. Give them a try!

I fell out of the car scene for a long time and recently ‘fell’ back in, so it only made sense to go revisit my friend Wally after 10 years of hiatus! And i have to say, the same reason why i went to him back then is the same reason why I would trust him with my car today. Wally over at the garage is a class act and is very professional. If he says he will take care of it, he will. I brought my car to him to have the fenders rolled, and he had Wyman, one of their installers/​mechanics, do the job. I couldn’t have been happier with the results. The work was clean, and was done in a timely manner. I haven’t bought anything from the store yet, but i trust their shop is as good as their garage.

I called this place awhile ago regarding tints and alarm combo, and damn it was hella expensive compared to other places. I ended up going to Speedzone.
Make sure you have some connection with the owner/​technician, therefore, they will take care of your car better.

I drove from Sacramento just to go to this shop. They are specialist in aftermarket parts and if they dont have them in stock they will order them for you, no problem. I had my Infiniti G37 alligned on their top of the line Hunter machine. It took only 20 min to do and I was out!
I would recomend anyone to come here, but especially Infiniti and Nissan owners. Mach III garage has some of the sickest rides out there, where you can see them at various car shows in Nor Cal!
I recomend this shop for sure!

I searched for a specific brand of wheels /​rims. Of the 4 different shops I went to, Mach III offered me the best deal. As a matter of fact, they saved me over $ 500 over the next cheapest competitor. They were also very knowledgeable about the tire offset (since I went from 16″ to 18″) compared to their competitors. That saved me from a possible wrecked fender and countless amounts of $$$ from future repair expenses. I’m glad I shopped around before I finally committed to going to Mach III.

Been bringing my cars to Mach 3 since 1991, getting my first alarm til now. I bring my family’s car here as well. Back in the days Johnson would work on my Galant, now he’s working on my bimmer’s 328, Z4, 330ci, 335i, and my dad’s C350. Not only do I have them do my alarm, they tint and clear bra my car as well.
The clear bra and tint job is great. Flawless with great warranty. Johnson who I had work on my cars for about 18 years now can make almost anything happen and very creative at times. If something can’t be done Johnson and Wally will come up with a solution after some research.
I remember trying to PIAA’s on my Galant, never done before. Johnson spent hours and found a solution. The same for installing an alarm on my 335i, no diagrams or anything, he did it from years of experience. I trust them or I wouldn’t be bringing my BMW’s and Benz’s to Mach 3 to have them work on it.
Customer service is great and they are very very knowledgeble. I trust Johnson the most because he does the best work. I highly recommend this place for alignments, aftermarket parts, and some auto work now that they have a service center. I have been loyal for 18 years and watched them grow from a small shop with just Wally and Johnson to the big showroom and garage. They have came along way and wouldn’t be this sucessful if they didn’t know what they were doing. Great place with great prices!!!

Wally, Johnson, Henry and Ray they are the BEST.
The only thing I can say about MACHIII is they are a PERFECT 10!

cheapest place I can find that mounts and balances your own tires.
Actual shop is located 2 blocks down on faxon from the show room.
Paid $ 17 each wheel for stock 15′ rims 55 height.
Prices vary depending on rim size and tire height.
Rims were in my trunk, so they took them right away as I came by. In and out in about 15mins. Thanks. This was my second set installed here. Great job.

The customer service can be shoddy here. They can be really good and hook you up, or really rude just cuz u want a refill on some air freshner.
The auto tinting is top notch if you get Sam to do it. The installations can be hit or miss. My friend had some missing suspension pieces not installed. But overall a good group of people all sharing the same enthusiasm for cars as the people coming in to buy the parts for their cars.
I’ve heard some rumors that if they get a hold of copying your ID, or if you put your address down you will get something stolen from you… but I haven’t experienced anything of the such.
