I agree with an early review about Representatives having a bad attitude! Yes, they are biased & will treat you according to how you look. 6:30pm on December 31^st and none of the 6 makeup artists that were there could accomodate me with just «skin matching» for a COUPLE of products I needed. When I go to OTHER MAC STORES, they only take about 15 min to do that for a couple of products and will be willing to help. They said they will close at 8p & because «it will also take time to close down the SMALL RETAIL COUNTER» they couldn’t help me. (As far as I know, in retail, you help customers until the time your closing hours are)
If you want professional, attentive and friendly customer service, AVOID THIS ONE. (Mac at Macys in SF downtown is my place to go!)

so lets just start off by saying I absolutely love M.A.C in general… now I went in the store October 2,2015 and I originally went in there for one thing the blacktrack eye liner. The person who was helping me was Lorelai b… I went in there asked her for blacktrack and she informed me of the ‘magic of the night’ collection which has blacktrack in it as well as a few other things. now I know this is how they get you to spend extra money but I didn’t mind. she also showed me everything else that was available for pre order. I went ahead and ordered the blacktrack set, a nude lipstick set, and a nude pink set… In which she said I can pick up October 22.2015. So I leave work early to go get it say 2:00pm and an Asian guy with swaggy hair and glasses helps me out. He goes to get my order and says we have good news and bad news. bad news was that they ”ran out’ of the blacktrack set however we can order it online for me with free shipping… wtf? sooooo how did this happen? they are saying they got less then what was pre-ordered…ummmm ok… so how was it distributed? they are saying it was in order of who pre-ordered…ummmmm ok again. So mind you I was 3^rd on the list to order so if you got 8 in, I should have been one of those 8 correct??? guess not fucked up considering that’s originally what I came in for… as i am checking the sets, they gave me the red lipstick instead of the pink, luckily they had more of that set… big mistake in trying to order the blacktrack I never looked at what set he bough out… get to my next appointment and guess what? wrong lipstick again I got the rose pink instead of nude pink… call the store to explain what happened and she thank god had a nude pink left, said she was leaving at 5pm but would let her manager know the situation… I arrive at 8:40 thank god before 9 and I tell the lady (short cute Asian, long hair) what was going on and it seemed like she had an attitude like I was randomly coming in for something I had no clue about… I explained to her the situation and it seemed like she didn’t believe a word I was saying all because I don’t remember who I talked to, to put it on hold… hella rude don’t you think? anyway she eventually came out with the right product and that was it, didn’t bother to ask if there was anything else I needed or have a good night… by far the worse M.A.C store. I only come to this one because its super close to me… I’ve also came to get my make-​up done here with an appointment and I was asked to wait 30 min… lame…however my make-​up was great. If looking for a M.A.C go to seramonte mall I have had better service there or downtown!

Come here all the time! And let me just say the fire red haired girl is my favorite she takes the time to really make you feel special and matched my color perfectly! She is so sweet, and helpful! The only reason. I come to this counter! Way to go red headed hottie keep it up!!! Above and beyond good customer service!

Getting your makeup done? Ask for Stephanie or Cecili.
Normally, Cecili is my girl but this past weekend she was out of town. Needed my makeup done for a wedding. The girl who was assigned to do my makeup did not seem proficient. I asked for the Lana Del Rey. I could tell she had no idea who that was. After showing her a few photos she says she can do it.
She does makeup on half my face, then receives a call and tells me she has to leave immediately. I feel bad for her because she seemed distressed. But in a way, I was happy because the makeup she had put on me was horrible. Stephanie took over and completed my look. Stephanie killed it! My makeup was flawless and she was able to fix the mistakes of the previous artist.
She made my skin look great without caking on the foundation. It was very light and subtle. Then she did the perfect Lana eyeshadow, eyeliner and lips. Could not have been more pleased with Stephanie’s skills.
Stephanie may appear to be inexperienced because she’s so young. However, she is one of the most intelligent girls I’ve ever encountered at MAC. She was attentive, confident and handily completed the Lana look. She also had an upbeat, happy attitude. Yay!
All in all, what could’ve been a disaster became a blessing from the heavens.

Me and a friend booked a makeup appointment at this location two months in advance of the day we asked for. Employee ensured us that we would receive a confirmation call but we never received one, so the day before our appointment we called in to confirm it. The employee that day told us «Yes your names are down, ****** for two at 11 AM.» When we came in that saturday morning a very rude employee (Specifically the asian guy with a bun and boots) told us that there was only one slot under my friend’s name (He called her by the wrong name as well over and over) and that Mac «never makes mistakes.» He asked for her number to double check who the appointment was under and confirmed that it was her number but it was only reserved for one person. Lo-​and-​behold, they won’t let us see the appointment list and another girl by the same name shows up and he gives HER the appointment instead. I understand that he was under a lot of pressure due to it being prom season but he simply had no reason to act like we were the ones that made a mistake. We made an appointment two months ago AND called in the night before to confirm the name and amount of people. Ultimately we just took our bags and left — the Macy’s Impulse ladies are so amazingly sweet. They accepted us immediately and began on our makeover’s quickly and did fabulous. They truly made our prom great. Thanks Lyn & Bri!
Overall Mac has mediocre customer service and I am highly disappointed. I was looking forward to purchasing my first Mac products that day.

Their customer service is whatever. I already knew what I wanted to get so I was in and out quickly. I felt ignored when I first approached their counter. And the guy working asked the girl to help me she walked past me and I said hi to her to get her attention. But she completely ignored me even though she looked at me. Not sure if she was just that busy or if she just didn’t want to help or if she really didn’t see me, which I doubt. The guy helping me kept apologizing but I just wanted to get my stuff and leave. Not very welcoming

Expensive. This place is a joke., so save your money. I came here with my fiancé on Valentine’s day to get her makeup done. The lady that did my fiancé was good enough, but nothing overly impressive, not for the cost of the make-​up. Stuff that is ¹⁄₅^th the price works just as well, so why is it so expensive? Is it made from endangered animals or something? She picked out like 5 items that came out to nearly $ 300. Oh, but if you spend over $ 200, you get a free gift that looks like it came from the $ store. I fekt sorry for a woman that was getting her makeup done next to my girl because when the lady was done with her, she looked like a clown, and she was clearly disappointed. I gave an extra star only because a few people left looking half way decent.

I got my make-​up done for the second time two weeks ago, and I made an account just to write about how frustrating my experience was.
First of all, I had an appointment for 3 pm, and I came a bit early because I was in a rush to attend a formal party at 5. The makeup artist didn’t come until 3:30, and even then she (didn’t catch her name, but she had fake red hair and many piercings) was very rude to me and made it obvious that she didn’t feel like doing my makeup. When she did do my makeup, she made it feel like she was punching my face the whole time. I specifically told her very NATURAL makeup with light colors on the eyelids and light contouring, which she obviously did not hear. First, she started putting eyeshadow on me, and when I looked in the mirror, I was horrified by what she was doing. First of all, the colors were not blended at all, and they were so dark that I looked like I had a black eye. When she tried to fix it, it looked even worse than before. Then, she went on my eyebrows. You know how everyone laughs at that girl with the overly dark, completely unnatural-​looking eyebrows? Yup, that was me, even when she tried to lighten them up. Then, she went to my lips. The color was nice, but the way she put it on was completely horrid. She drew way out of the lines and made me look like Miranda Sings. No kidding. Lastly, she put on these wispy fake eyelashes that she did NOT know how to put on, and ended up getting glue inside my eyes.
The male worker (I think his name was Michael) started coming over and trying to help, which he somewhat did. Even he said that my makeup, except my lips. looked bad. I kept telling him that I hated the way my lips looked, but he kept saying that they looked perfect. If I didn’t like it, why not just change them?
Overall, I walked out looking like a drag queen with overly drawn eyebrows, fake eyelashes that were STRAIGHT instead of curled, and overly drawn lips that made me look like a clown. If I was going for this look, then the $ 80 dollars I spent was worth it. Not only that, but they didn’t finish until 4:50, making me late for the party.
2 stars for okay makeup that I got done the first time.

I love coming to this location, it’s big, always stocked on their products, and it’s right in the middle of Nordstrom’s (who doesn’t love Nordstrom’s)! I came by to buy a blush brush only, and I ended up also getting «A Medley Of Mauves» eyeshadow palette, «Ceremonial» cremesheen glass, and «Brave» lipstick. Today Jamie helped me and she was very fun to talk with while shopping– she had a bubbly personality, had excellent knowledge and taste in the colors she helped me choose, and she was also very honest when I asked her on her opinion while trying on different colors for the lipsticks I was having a hard time choosing from. I will honestly say that I love all of my products I bought today and can’t wait to wear them! Thank you Jamie! You can never go wrong with high end makeup that’s excellent quality and that lasts for a long time.

I just wanted to purchase a gel liner and a brush, 3 of them walked by me and did’nt ask me if I needed help so finally I said «excuse me I need help» and she comes over and just looks at me like I am bothering her… What ever happened to customer service?! Is this not Nordstrom?? Oh wait! It’s MAC… I should’ve expected it always rude caked on b… ! Oops! I meant sales associate.

Where are the nice girls that work here? I haven’t seen the girls who typically help me the last few times I’ve been here. That’s okay, because I usually get really great service here. BUT as of lately, their customer service has been really lackluster. I used to get greeted with such great attitude, whereas these days, even when it’s NOT busy and I’m talking like maybe one girl checking out the counter. …Yeah-​no hello, no nothing until I literally stand right where the cash register is looking like I’m ready to pay. I also come in knowing exactly what I’m looking for and they never seem to have my color in the concealer anymore. Don’t know what’s up with that but I’ve gone at least 4 times within 2 months already since this Mac is a prime location for me. I also find some of the girls borderline rude. There is this one chick that has helped me twice and as soon as I told her I didn’t want something she went right back to chit chatting with her co-​worker. I could tell you exactly how her night before went. What’s sad is that I wanted to by something else but since she moved on I figured I’d spend my money at another Mac location. I am literally a quick shopper, too. I never take any more than about 10 minutes at a mac location, 3 minutes if I know what I’m looking for so she could’ve easily helped me and made quick money… 3 stars until you pick up your service!

Wasn’t crowded so I was able to connect with someone immediately. She approached me with, I love your red lips. Who is it? I whispered Revlon.
Everytime I go to a Mac counter, I look for a vibrant red that is similar to one of the reds I wear by Revlon or maybelline but I never seen to find one. Ladies at other counters try to help but no success. For some great reason today, the lady I met was the one. She found reds! Reds that I liked. Tried it on. Yes. Purchase please. Then she wants me to add their mascara on top of mine. It enhanced it and made it pop. So I bought it.

I absolutely love this MAC! Not only was I greeted kindly but my make up artist Nicole was amazing. She not only made me look great but made me feel great overall. I leaned how to do things from her in 30 minutes that would’ve taken me hours!
I left with so many goodies and was accommodated well by everyone there. I will definitely be going back soon!

This Unilocal review is only based on the customer service I didn’t receive on my visit. I went last Friday to buy a certain lipstick that only this MAC location had in stock and to drive 30 minutes in traffic and in rain to receive the worst customer service got me a bit upset. They had the products I was looking for but when I approached the MAC stand I didn’t get acknowledged for one, not even a greet or at least a smile from the makeup artists. Seriously? Who hires these people. Instead one gave me a dirty look and that got me a bit agitated and I’m not one to bite my tongue. It took about 5 minutes to get the girls attention to get me 1 lipstick. I will not be coming back to this store and have told some of my girls about this. Step your game up! Management, obviously you are not keeping tabs on your employees and how poorly of customer service they have. Thanks but no thanks wether they have what I need in stock I’ll wait for another store to have what I need or wait for ups or fedex. Bullshit ass service.

Do NOT get your makeup done here. I picstitched my full face that I do on myself (top) and the full face that I got done here (bottom) it should be in the gallery. They should really require beauty school degrees in order to do makeup on someone. I was not satisfied at all.

If this MAC counter isn’t jam-​packed, you can guarantee a great experience. However, when it’s busy, the artists definitely don’t know how to manage customers, and often assist the people who they feel look like they’ll spend more, i.e. older white women. No one is rude or judgmental, and they all know their stuff, so this place can actually be a fun experience.
I would rate this place 5-​stars just for Josh. He is amazing! He is attentive, knows his color theory, and can quickly guide you toward the products you’re looking for. He’s not just trying to sell you products like other associates, he’s actually trying to make you fall in love with a product he feels can enhance your look.

I swear I’m always here lol! Love all the MAC boys and girls but my true favs are Nicole and Sierra! They both always have me looking fab for my «events». But the whole crew always smiles and is very knowledgable of the products, matching tones etc.

This is where I went to get a consultation for my wedding day makeup. I was very happy with the service and the cosmetics.

Ugh. My friend & I came here a couple days ago looking to buy a couple MAC products and to get our shades matched, & we were ready to drop quite a bit to go on a bit of a shopping spree. But the customer service was just horrendous. As soon as we walked up, it was like everybody there was just glancing at us, noticing how young we looked, & walking away.
The guy that was helping me was just horrible. He started off nice, asking about my daily skin routine, and proceeded to start telling me about their concealer, primer & foundation. That’s fine, I know you’re a sales associate & t hat you’re here to sell your product. I would have been willing to buy it, had he paid a little more attention to my skin tone & gave me a powder that actually matched my skin. He made me look like an oompa-​lumpa, so obviously I would want to go a shade lighter just try to test it out. This b*tch rolls his eyes at me and says,
«Oh thats only for people with nice pink tones. Blonde hair, blue eyes. And you definitely do not have that.»
Honestly, I wouldn’t have taken offense to that, because well, he’s the one working there, he knows his stuff. But the way he said it was so condescending, like I was somehow inferior because I have an olive skin tone. Uhm what?
Oh, and he used the exact same brush. For everything. By the time he finished with the foundation, the brush was sticky from the concealer & primer and it made my face look blotchy.
So I gave up on him helping me & looked around. I told him I was going to buy the blush, which I would have if he had tried selling it to me more, but he immediately jumps onto another customer & completely ignores me & my friend.
I know we look young, but being judgmental & prejudiced won’t get you anywhere in life, & you definitely will not be getting my money. I don’t know what it was with this counter, but I definitely will not be coming back.

As I have said in another review — I LOVE makeup and definitely like to spend a pretty penny every once in awhile and stock up on some products. With that said, MAC has always been one of my go-​to spots for shopping and for getting my makeup done for special occasions.
In high school I came in for my senior portraits, prom, and sometimes just for fun, but over the weekend I came in to get my makeup done for an event. I had an appointment with Victor, and while it was super busy at the counter and had to help some customers out, he still made me look absolutely beautiful. I walked away with a great makeup and it lasted throughout the night. I also purchased a couple shadows and eyelashes. He was really sweet and I would definitely recommend making an appointment with him!
