Business Owner

Michael F.D. Logue is a licensed architect in the state of California. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Design from the University of Cincinnati’s Interior Architecture program and a Masters of Architecture from Columbia University, NY. He studied Design with an emphasis on Industrial Design at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark and completed a joint yearlong program in Traditional Japanese Architecture at Kyoto University and Kyoto Architectural College. Logue has worked with notable architects and designers, such as, Stanley Tigerman of Tigerman McCurry Architects in Chicago, IL, the late Michael Kalil of the Kalil Studio in New York, and Studios Architecture in San Francisco among others. In addition, Mr. Logue completed a yearlong apprenticeship under a Master Carpenter of Temple and Shrine construction in Kyoto, Japan.

We completely remodeled our house and had Michael and his team design it and see it through. The results are beautiful and stunning. They maximized on our view and came up with a elegant solution to our staircase. Logue Studio Design’s ability to be creative and innovative are truly valuable.
But that’s not all. Michael has a superb eye for detail and interior design. He thinks of everything and assures your project will turn out well executed. While his designs are high end, he also understands budget limitations and was able to help us lower costs while maintaining the aesthetics of the finishes, multiple times.
On top of everything, Michael is a great person to work with. He has a special knack in communicating what he thinks needs to be done (sometimes with the contractor, sometimes with us) without being pushy — he always has a smile on his face. Truly, I’ve rarely seen anyone so friendly while still getting their message across. It is obvious that he loves his job and that always works out well for the clients!

Michael and his team did a great job designing our Personal Training studio. We were on a tight budget but Michael created an incredible feel and flow to the space, out of basically nothing, that our clients rave about. He was very professional, timely and always available to answer any questions we had, seemingly 24⁄7. Even when we asked him to redesign several aspects multiple times, which must have been frustrating, he didn’t even blink and promptly returned with our request. We are really happy with the results and recommend Logue Studio Design highly!

We had our initial consultation with Michael, and he took a lot of time and drew up the most extensive and impressive initial design spec I can possibly imagine. His portfolio was most impressive with some jaw-​dropping amazing projects he had done in the past. Unfortunately we could not use him due to our financial circumstances, but we’ll definitely use his services when we save up more money :).

I hired Logue Studio Design to turn my office into a space I enjoyed going to and felt comfortable working in. The space also needed to be inviting for clients and built out to accommodate client files.
When I first met with Michael, he had me review design magazines and we «went shopping» so that he could learn what my tastes were. He then stopped by the office to take measurements and get a sense of what i liked about my office.
Michael then provided me with 3D diagrams of what my office could look like, designed furniture that met my specifications (we couldn’t find furniture that i really liked and i had a friend/​master carpenter interested in building the pieces) and offered wall color suggestions, lighting suggestions and carpet suggestions.
all in all, I was incredibly pleased with his proposals and was amazed when it all came together. I love how my office looks and I love coming to work.

«When I began working with Michael Logue of Logue Studio Design, I was initially nervous that the creative process that I observed in his firms other residential projects would be difficult to translate in a commercial space such as a dental office. In addition, our proposed space had a irregular triangular footprint making the project challenging to layout.
Logue Studio Design’s first step was to interview me about the type of space I wanted to work in. I was encouraged to push the boundaries of that definition. I’VE BEEN IN PRACTICE FOR 23 YRS AND HAVE WORKED AND HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH MORE THAN A DOZEN OFFICES. HENCE, THEY ALL LOOK THE SAME TO ME. I WANTED TO HAVE SOMETHING DIFFERENT. Logue Studio Design created a remarkable efficient space that placed our operatory rooms in a soft oval configuration and chose to build these walls from a translucent material with soft programmable colored lighting within to reference the natural environment. I was very pleased with the outcome of the space and enjoyed working with Michael very much.» (Our office has also been featured in 2 International magazines.) Michael was my architect on a complete remodel of my home in Noe Valley. The house was an extremely complicated project (due in no small part to the pool in the living room). Michael and his team did an absolutely fantastic job and the speed and quality of the finished product was at the very top of the range given my demands and budget. he was a pro dealing with challenges that came up and was able to handle pretty major turns in our plans mid-​way through the project.
Michael combines the efficiency and attention to detail of the best architects and the creativity and aesthetic of the best designers. He has a vast knowledge of materials and an incredible network of contractors and specialists to tap for almost any component you dream up. Ultimately Michael’s greatest strength is his ability to collaborate with you on your home, to let you fully take part in the joy of conceiving and building something encompassing. Given the other homes and commercial sites I’ve seen him tackle, I would strongly recommend him and his firm for any project you have in mind.
