History

Established in 2014.

Liquid Bread Magazine is the collaboration of San Francisco beer heads siphoning their journalistic backgrounds into their love of craft brew.

Inspired by the lack of quality journalism in craft beer coverage, the Liquid Bread writers wish to deliver discerning drinkers newsworthy, jargonless and BS-​free reviews and analysis of the evolving beer scene.

We strive for quality and wit — and contest the pretension that too often plagues the craft beer world into the garbage.

As beer drinkers first and foremost, we understand the enormous subjectivity of beer; the different styles we like or don’t, the ways we like to consume it, and the fact that some of us cannot drink a bomber of anything over 7 percent alcohol without going down for the night.

Whether you want a sophisticated look at beer, in-​depth, comprehensive and contextual analysis’ of different brews, or are just looking at what’s out there in the beer world, Liquid Bread Magazine is the Bay Area’s source for beer journalism.
