For a poor college grad who’s been bitten by the Lindy bug, Lindy in the Square is just the thing! Like the other reviewers mentioned, Lindy in the Square is FREE, every 4th Wednesday of the month during the summer. The crowd is a mix of seasoned swing dancers and passerbys. Age-​wise, most of the men are older — where are all the young swing fellas? Everyone is friendly and willing to dance. Once in a while you’ll get that awkward, slightly creepy guy or the guy who wants to excessively throw you around, but I think that’s pretty normal when it comes to swing dancing in general. In those cases, a polite no should be fine.
Bring your friends! It’s a lot of fun dancing out on the square (and you’re guaranteed to be caught on camera by all the tourists)!
