I’ve been coming to Lesley for skin check ups for several years now, and she’s fantastic. She is extremely friendly, approachable, and patient, always taking the time to fully listen to any concerns. I definitely never feel like she’s trying to rush me through to get to the next patient. I also appreciate the fact that she doesn’t try to up-​sell like many dermatologists I’ve been to in the past. Highly recommend to anyone looking for skin care in SF.

I saw Lesley 2 weeks ago to get into the dermatologist game. Basically, I’m getting older, need to be mindful of spots and wrinkles and all that jazz.
Lesley is incredibly approachable and knowledgeable with a kind demeanor. She makes you feel comfortable getting all your questions answered, did a thorough job explaining the answers and in the general exam.
I’m really happy with the outcome and recommendations she made. Product wise, she was very conscious of saying, look for this and give me feedback so we can find the best fit. It’s the start of a long term relationship!

I cannot recommend Lesley Bowler enough. She is part of David MacGregor’s practice. Lesley is very professional and was quickly able to accurately diagnose my issue and gave a very detailed explanation of the cause and her recommended treatment. She was patient in her explanation and spent time answering all of my questions. I often feel rushed when I go to the Dr. but Lesley took her time to really understand my issues. I felt very comfortable seeing her and will return to Dr. MacGregor’s practice if I can see her. He is lucky to have her on staff.

Lesley Bowler PA-​C is fantastic. She’s professional, courteous, and most important of all, spot on with her diagnosis and treatment. She listened to my issues and especially to my goals for my skincare needs. The laser treatment I received was amazing– good bye dark sun spots made worse by pregnancy! She also got rid of my son’s plantar wart painlessly, with only one treatment. I highly recommend Lesley Bowler! You can’t go wrong going to her with all of your skin care needs!

I’ve been seeing Lesley for years and I really like her. She’s one of the few dermatologists who not only really listens and hears what you are saying but also has great recommendations. She’s always hip to the latest and greatest treatment and when something stops working or I feel it’s not as good as it used to be, she’s always got another option.
Her office, particularly Anna and Myra are super great. Myra is awesome when you need to fight with your stupid insurance company, or when it comes to getting authorizations for complicated things (like the iPledge program). Anna is super sweet and when a medication is making your face peel like crazy she gives you detailed instructions on what lotion to buy and how to use it.
Major bonus points for always giving me samples, even of meds, so I can try things before having to buy them,

Dr Lesley Taylor is the Physician’s Asst to Dr David MacGregor. When I called to make my appointment, I was told I needed to see her since my concerns/​issues revolved around acne.
I’ve kept my acne under control for some time now with Retin-​A (the strongest form). But when I moved here from the East Coast, my acne issues began to flare up again — giving me an odd combination of acne and dermatitis. It was pretty awful and I knew I needed to see a good dermatologist again.
I went in to see her with lots of information, my history, and my experience on certain things. She took everything into account and perscribed me a combo of doxycycline and Tazorac. The combination was perfect. Her thought had been that I had become resistant to the Retin-​A after using it for so long, and the doxycline would help with the flare ups, dermatitis, uneven skin, etc. Within two weeks, my skin had become A LOT better and right now, it’s pretty much back to normal (after using the combo for a little under two months).
She’s a good listener, she lets you talk, and she explains why she is perscribing things in a very calm way. Also, what’s nice is that she doesn’t dismiss your own input/​suggestions. She listens to them and makes her decisions accordingly. Having good knowledge of your history with products, antibiotics, etc. helps — it seems to give her a good insight as to what will work best for you.
Anyhow, I highly recommend her.
P. S. Make your appointment early and ahead of the curve as much as you can — their office gets very busy.

Leslie was awesome! I saw her last May-​ish for a rash I had. Recently when I thought it reoccured, it ended up being something completely different!
She was indeed thorough. She also assisted me in a shaving problem I’ve had since I was a teen. Thanks Leslie!

I hate going to the doctor! But I put it off for a really long time and finally went. Lesley made me feel comfortable and she was so matter-​of-​fact, but still friendly. She must also be a gypsy (or really good at her job) because I went to her with a VERY strange skin discoloration problem, and she diagnosed me in about 8 seconds. Really, that’s all it took. She also gave me a regular check up and pointed out only one problem area that I needed to watch. Lesley wins!

This Leslie Taylor is really great. She was thorough, gentle and immediately diagnosed several maladies that had previously been a mystery to me. I walked away from my first visit feeling like I had found the first honest and helpful dermatologist in my life. I’ve gone back a number of times and I am never disappointed. (p.s. if your driving and need parking — there is non-​metered one hour parking up Sutter approx 5 blocks).

Ok, maybe she isn’t a doctor. But I went to see Dr. MacGregor, which is where she works. And instead of seeing me himself, she saw me. Apparently she is a nurse practitioner which as far as I’m concerned only means she can see me and prescribe me medicine if I need it.
She was nice, and pleasant. She offered me two solutions to my wrinkle concern (which she pointed out wasn’t bad, and that I was really overly worried): Botox or RetinA. I asked her if she had ever done Botox (she looked about my age). She said no she has wrinkles all over, which I then looked at her face for and indeed did see. She personally uses the RetinA as it’s less aggressive and she said that at our age we don’t want to get started on the Botox too early.
Sold, sign me up for the RetinA. She did and I will be back to see her in 4 weeks.
