Got great service today from Ashley and Dr Nguyn. Thanks for the thorough exam and help picking frames. Eye Med plan covered almost everything.

I went to this location with the love of my life. She had used this location before. I had an eye exam and needed a prescription for glasses. The price was kinda high so I lolligaged about getting glasses. I went with another optical store for glasses. Fast forward 3 weeks, I’m wearing my glasses, take them off, sit back and ouch. BENT. Do I drive 15 miles to where I got my glasses to fix them? The love of my life tells me Lenscrafters will adjust them and bend them back for free if not damaged. All night, I was tossing and turning, well, maybe sleeping through it all as my love hears me snoring at night. First thing in the morning, we head to this Lenscrafters as the first stop. No customers in the store, two employees on the floor. They tell us to wait for two minutes as one guy was finishing up on the computer. He comes over, I explain to him what I did and he jokes to the effect, well, at least you were honest and didn’t say you closed the case on them. Less than a minute later with two bends, glasses back to normal. Wow.

Terrible service. General questions are met with short, snide answers. The guy «helping» us rudely barked out half assed explanations, without looking up from his computer. Won’t be coming back to this location, if any LensCrafters at all

I was skeptical about going into LensCrafters instead of a fancier optometry office. But wow, the customer service was superb! Jasmine and Dr Chen were super accommodating. Not to keep me waiting as they check on my insurance, they immediately asked if I had to go back to work and just took down my credit card when the transaction is ready to be approved. Nice!

Review for nosepads — NOT eyeglasses or exam.
It may seem silly to some to do a review for nosepads, but when you are in an apocalyptic work crunch because a bunch of yahoos who dithered all week are suddenly trying to complete their to-​do lists on a Friday morning (when all you can think about is heading home to a slice of pizza and a cold beer) and your inbox is slammed with an avalanche of requests and you are rolling up your sleeves and getting ready to deal with this insanity and a nosepad drops off of your reading glasses, well, you are one tiny step away from being Burgess Meredith in that classic Twilight Zone Episode ‘Time Enough At Last,’ and although further work is not impossible, it is unquestionably annoying and frustrating, and Fridays should be a smooth ride, not a rage-​inducing commute on twenty miles of bad-​road.
My optometrist is too many blocks away to make a quick visit feasible, so I ran around the corner to LensCrafters on Battery. Not only did a nice gentleman fix both nose pads immediately (the remaining one was in dire shape), but he didn’t charge me a dime.
Now, I know that little freebies like that are great for word-​of-​mouth PR, but in this day and age when it seems everyone is trying to screw you out of every last dime, a little thing like this is a big thing.
So thanks, LenCrafters.

This location has always been an awesome experience! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable! Especially Richard!!! I just moved to Los Angeles and needed assistance with contacts and he was on it! Quick, fast, friendly, helpful and professional. Unlike the store down here which is why I decided to not give them my business! Thanks for being so positive and helpful Richard. The world is def lacking this customer service these days.

Everyone here is super nice. Dr. Nguyen is incredibly professional and kind and the service from everyone else was exceptional. Definitely going to come here regularly for any eye needs!

Tried calling 4 times and had a total of 3 hours wait time just to check and see if my contact lenses were delivered.

This place is my standard destination for glasses now. The optometrist (who technically works for a separate company) was great; I’ve never had one explain to me that seeing a correction option as simply «more bold» (rather than actually clearer) indicates that option over-​corrects. I left this last time with a lighter prescription (in terms of near-​sightedness) but clearer vision.
The technology for finding pupil distance, the quick turnaround, and how much they can tell you about what your vision plan covers are also great.
Costco offers equivalent quality at lower prices, but it’s just so much more work and such a longer turnaround.

5 star for the Doctor (Jasmine). She was great. Super nice and friendly. Would follow her to a new location if she moved offices.
Negative 4 stars for Richard and the lady behind the counter. Very rude and can’t take an order for contacts correctly. They also like to blame customers when clearly something is their own fault.
Don’t go here unless you have patience for ignorance. In no way is this a review a reflection on the quality of service from Dr. Jasmine though, she was excellent.

I walked in to set an appointment for a basic eye exam. That’s easy. The following day I had a great experience with Dr. Jasmine Nguyen. She was very meticulous and took her time with my eye exam. She also is very cheery which can be a bit intoxicating. We went through a few trials for my contacts because she wanted to make sure the fit was just right. She even convinced me to get rid of my old brand contact lens for something new. Lynn is great too, the general manager. She helped me find the best prices for contacts. Thank you you two!

Best optical experience I’ve had. Jose and all staff were so polite. The sun wear I got gives me so much clarity. Thank you staff!!!

Came in with low knowledge of glasses repair — the front desk was incredibly friendly and professional. The LensCrafter glasses professional at front diagnosed the problem within 2 seconds, asked me to write my name /​number down and got my Maui Jim Sand Island aviators fixed free of charge… again within just 3 minutes.
Efficient staff + incredibly pleasant gesture — will definitely be back in the future!

The judge of a good store is how they handle things when something goes wrong. I had an issue at the store and was upset. I was their bad customer of the day. The manager stepped in without me having to ask for an escalation and she solved the problem. I realize I was being kind of a jerk because I need to see my computer to work (ok call me crazy). She totally turned the situation around and I walked out happy.

I went here to fix my glasses and ended up getting an eye test as well as a new pair of Oakley prescription glasses :-)
It’s a big shop with an in house optometrist and a workshop where they cut lenses and shape them for various frames etc.
It took a little while to get service as it was early Saturday morning and they did not have enough staff and a couple of difficult customers ;-) Once u had full attention of the staff it moved quickly. I was tested for my current prescription, looked at new frames and even though there was shortage of staff got my frames back the same day.
All in all very pleased and would come back here again. Compared to German prices this place is cheap. Not sure how it would compare to USA prices?

Went back again on August 1 2014. I wanted to buy classic Rayban wayfarer sunglasses in black, and have new lenses put in. Their website said they were in stock. They were not. I was told the website is often wrong. Ok I can understand that, but when I asked if they could call the location on Market st, I got a «look» from the guy helping me, and then he called and said it was busy.
I asked if he could try again, seeing they know the exact model numbers etc. He then passed me off to who I found out later was the the store manager, Lynn. I overheard the model number and called myself from the store, because Lynn never even looked at me. the market st store was also sold out, BUT said if I bought them at Sunglass Hut® and brought in my receipt they would honor the ½ off lenses with the purchase of frames because Luxottica owns both chains.
I called Sunglass Hut and they had them! Woo Hoo I thought. I went up to Lynn and asked if they could do my lenses at the sale price if I show my Sunglass Hut receipt.
Lynn glared at me (did she know I drop a few hundred a year on a single pair of lenses a year?) and said «who said you could do that ?» with total attitude and a bitch demeanor (sorry if I offended any dogs). I said the market st store, and she gruffs that she could make «an exception». Really how about you order enough of your best sellers!?!
Amazingly poor service, rotten tone, and degrading. Puke.
Any how don’t go here the store manager couldn’t give a sh&t about you.
Walk several blocks to the Market st store.
THEY WERE AWESOME! They apologized about being sold out, offered me the sale price, and I was out in about an hour.
I still ended up spending hundreds on lenses!

Such an unfortunate experience!
Walked in and asked about sunglasses — found a great pair but would need to get the lenses replaced.
The very sweet sales associate told me it would be ~$ 75 to replace them, but might have some with the right in stock. She would call me if she found them, and if not she’d call me anyway to get payment later that day and have them made. Sounds promising.
Except she forgot to call back. Whoops.
Except when I went in the next day, it turns out the lenses would be more than x2 what she quoted. Double up, whoops. Whoops.
Manager apologetic? Naw.

LensCrafters at this location sucks! The customer service isn’t there. I paid $ 364.00 for a pair of glasses; which I believe was over price, and the service was the worst.
I had already paid for the eye glasses and just dealt with the service. I had to return my eye glasses due to incorrect prescription. There was no professionalism. There is a reason it’s in the San Francisco financial district. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else! Go where the staff will take time out with you and make sure that you are happy with your eye glasses selection and comfortable with the price. Here it’s all about the dollar bill!

I’ve been wearing glasses forever and have dealt with lots of different places but this shop wins the prize for the strangest experience I’ve had so far. When my husband and I walked in, no one would make eye contact with us. It was as if they couldn’t see us. We were never approached or asked if we needed help.
Well, I found a pair of frames and then had to find someone to take my order. I was told I’d get a call when they were ready and my credit card was charged. Two weeks later the call came and I went in to pick them up. Again, zero customer service. The glasses were handed to me in a case.
They seemed a little ‘off’ when I put them on but I figured I just needed to get used to them. I couldn’t — they felt tight behind the ears but loose at the same time and crooked. I took them back for an adjustment. Not much improvement.
So I took advantage of their 90 day return policy. Again, no one would look at me when I walked into the store. I dealt with the cashier. When I took them out of their case she pointed out that the frames were crooked. Duh.
What a waste of time.

The great service is what makes this place stand out.
I recently had LASIK and needed a good pair of sunglasses, per doctor’s orders. Luckily, my insurance covers sunglasses if you’ve had LASIK. They were very helpful in contacting my insurance company, verifying my benefits, and helping me pick out a frame.
When she saw that I was struggling to make up my mind, the person helping me (I can’t recall her name) asked what I was looking for. Based on my criteria, she went into the back and brought out a few more frames which I loved! Once I made my selection, she pointed out that LensCrafters offers free lifetime adjustments, just in case my sunglasses need some tightening up later on. Awesome!
My whole experience here was really great. I didn’t have to deal with my insurance company, I love my new sunglasses, and I was able to accomplish this all within my lunch hour.
