This place is so close to my job that it’s hard not to go to it. Apparently I was able too because I didn’t go here for about 9 months until finally trying it. I went into the place probably about an hour before it closed and ordered a turkey sandwich. The sandwich itself wasn’t too bad, but the turkey was a bit dry. The lady behind the counter was super hard to understand though. I kind of just nodded and hoped it would all come out ok. The pricing was decent it was about $ 7 bucks for a chunky sandwich. Overall, nothing too fantastic about the spot and definitely would only be a spot that I visit if I have no other choice.

Went in for a breakfast sandwich. 1 other customer at the counter &2 employees. The first lady asked me 3 times what I wanted — probably because instead of telling me she’d be right with me, she kept going back to finish the other customer’s order and repeatedly forgot what I said. The other lady just sat there. When taking my order the 4th time, several attempts were made to up-sell me on meat, bacon or avocado, but I explained to her that I just wanted a really basic/simple egg on english muffin breakfast sandwich + onions. The room quickly filled with confusion and disappointment from me declining the extras. The total ended up being $ 1 more than the sign. When I questioned it she said because I added onion that was 50 cents extra(which I’ve never been charged for at any other Lee’s and isn’t on the sign) + tax. Even if that was true, it would have been a different amount than I was charged. I should have argued and/or walked out on principal alone, but I was slightly hungover and late for work. I guess in the end she got her up-sell. Well played, Lee’s. Well played indeed.

Needs air conditioning. *It is dangerously hot in there for those employees.* This location is small. The employees are very nice. I go here often and will keep coming back.

Super quick, plenty of selections, very friendly staff. Had a egg sandwich with fresh ingredients. Way better option than the McDonald’s next door to them.

One star… simply because they advertise that there is no minimum for delivery but when you call they say that there is a $ 50 minimum. Poo!

Walked in today and ordered two bagels. One with cream cheese, tomato and sprouts. The other was supposed to be just egg and tomato. When my BF and I split up, turns out we got each other’s. How about you label which one is which?! On top of that, the egg and tomato one is egg and cheese which is not what we asked for. So, technically I paid for something that I didn’t even want nor do I even feel like eating because my BF got my order because they weren’t smart enough to label it. What sucks is that when I called in, they aren’t even professional enough to assess the situation. Instead I got a kind of sarcastic tone saying next time they will write it down. Why don’t they have a real manager working there instead of some people who don’t understand what I’m saying. When I called the first time, I explained the story and then the lady handed the phone over to someone else and I had to re explain myself. Get a real manager in there who can fix problems like this. I know it’s just food, but it’s good I’m paying them for and expect it to be right. If I wasn’t already at my desk I probably would walk back and ask for my money back. It doesn’t matter because the owners of this place don’t even read the reviews anyway. They could really care less what their customers have to say. Lee’s is now on my list of places to not go to. On top of that, sometimes their siu Mai doesn’t even taste fully cooked. Gross.

You can buy a real turkey sandwich here for 5 or 6 bucks Or you can go to Subway around the corner and buy pressed turkey for 6 bucks Anderson Bakery has a smaller sandwich with pressed turkey for two dollars more it is OK but I like Lee’s better. Specialtys has some great sandwiches too but the price is much higher than Lee’s Yep Lee’s has the deals for your money in the financial district The hot food is great The earlier you arrive the better the food for obvious reasons Then if you arrive real late and feel the hot food has been sitting around too long The soup is good along with the burgers and Vietnamese Sandwiches not bad at all for the money If you want perfection go around the corner to Tadich Grill or Perbaccos and drop 50 bucks for lunch and then you may still be disappointed depending on the chefs mood Unless you are entertaining a picky ass client why spend too much cash Keep lunch simple go to Lee’s then drop the 50 bucks on Dinner

I have been a huge Lee’s fan for a while now(can you say one of the best tuna on dark rye’s around?). Because it is cold out, I decided to try the Ramen. I ordered ramen with Tonkatsu broth and added chicken. It is packed full with noodles. The broth is flavorful with just the right amount of creaminess. It is not the best I have had, but it is satisfying and for only $ 7.61 out the door, I will be back again!

Bar food. Peas, beets, corn, spinach and grilled chicken strips are just a few of the many options. For less than $ 6 you can put together a more than adequate salad bar creation. Topped it off with a sweet mango pineapple vinaigrette. Service was friendly especially as they were shutting down for the day and brought out new serving utensils just for me. Far from a destination lunch but also far from a destination to avoid. Lee’s continues to be a solid option for those days when there is only time for lunch and not a lunch adventure.

Handsdown worst Banh Mi(viet sandwich) ever! I don’t even know why I gave it a try… being Vietnamese and all. I guess I was craving it. But yeah. this place is Chinese and definitely does not know what a viet sandwich should look or taste like. The bread was hard and thick… real viet sandos should be a light flakey baguette. The meat was grisly and fatty(I got beef). Viet sando meats are leaner and not greasy. Over all. gross experience. I attempted two bites and throw it out… didn’t even swallow the second bite. I’ve also had their breakfast egg sandwich once… also gross. The egg is cooked in a microwave and slopped on. Texture was not so good. Avoid this place. go elsewhere.

I go here because this one makes solid Vietnamese sandwiches. they are big, a half pint of meat, good for the crowd they are making them for(yuppies), but they could up the spice. still, for what you are getting and under $ 4 it’s worth it.

Dope cafeteria type of place serving Asian food. I found that there are a lot of places in the city that are like this but unfortunately for this one the food was average. The price however compared to other place is very cheap so I give it that. Serving Asian food they had all kinds of Chinese dishes, dimsum, and even sushi. They also had a banh mi area in the back if you opted to eat that instead of the cafeteria/buffet style dishes. I tried a couple chicken dishes as well as some beef dishes but mostly all weren’t great and none of them stood out. I should have just are dimsum and sushi all the way. The one dish that was horribly bad was the salt and pepper fried fish. Don’t even bother with that dish. Chow fun was alright I suppose but honestly there are a ton of better Asian places to eat it, this is just conceptually dope. At 7 dollars a pound I feared not spending more than 10 dollars for a simple meal so I didn’t not fill my plate up. Some dishes really add on weight! These type of places are great for working in the big city because it’s quick, easy, and convenient so you see a lot of people walking around with to go boxes during lunch hours. There is seating outside but mostly people just grab and go back to work. It’s a great environment, busy busy place but I don’t see myself coming back unless I happen to be hungry and walking down that street craving dimsum or sushi.

I’m giving them 4 stars because the ramen and won ton soup here is a steal. Plus one time I walked in and caught the old ladies giggin’ to Chris Brown. Be prepared to be rushed out but you have to know what you are there for

Meh… nothing too special about this place other than the fact it’s close by to work. I come here pretty often and usually the only things I would even consider getting from their selection are the shrimp dumplings, bacon, sausage, and tater tots. Everything else(including the lunch menu) is bland… or just. doesn’t taste that fresh. Their vietnamese sandwiches are a pretty decent deal($ 3.95) though, and it’s actually pretty good!

I don’t know why Lee’s get such terrible reviews. I’m new to the FiDi area… and i was aimlessly wandering around for a place to eat. I didn’t want to pay for a 8 – 10 dollar sandwich… in case u didnt know, i’m a weirdo when it comes to food. i Need variety… i wanted a salad, and some hot food… and there i was in Lee’s. I made myself a nice salad, grab a bbq pork bun, random things that were lying around, and BAM. ADD lunch is ready! Sure, it’s definitely not amazing. but i don’t think its bad either. it’s affordable. and the salad bar looked fresh enough, I didn’t love the bbq pork bun. I love the fact i can throw whatever strange combos together and no one will judge me. hehehehe =] … so what if i like chow mein with my spinach salad! lol some of the hot foods here arent good… avoid the mongolian beef and sweet and sour chicken for sure… the dim sum isnt bad. the sushi isnt good tho(but im a sushi snob, fyi)… all in all if you want a quick, customizeable, afforable lunch. Lee’s is the place to go. i want to go back and try their sandwiches and noodle soups!!! maybe tomorrow… =]

We love Lee’s because they are so close. If you work in the Financial District then you know your nearest Lee’s. We go there because we need fast and convenient, not because of their Chinese food. Dry chow mein. Shrimp fried rice with BROWN rice? What? It looks good but they forgot to add flavor. Won ton soup that is unsalted. How is that even possible? Soggy, mushy spring rolls Stick to the egg salad sandwiches. Now those are tasty.

First off, this is a relatively cheap place to eat so, expectation are not upper crust. That said, it’s decent for average food. I’ve dined at a Lee’s since 1996 and(knock on wood) have never had«bad» food. Sandwiches are my staple here, tuna olive to be exact. Now there are buffet style offerings, I pretty much stick to the dim sum, or California rolls and now Fresh Vietnamese rolls. Their Japanese style soups are pretty good too. And well, BACON in the morning, need I say more! The staff is always pretty nice, but they will rush you through.

Ew Lee’s. If I wasn’t so hungry, I don’t think I’d be able to eat today’s meal. I just picked up from your self-serf«hot» selection a very cold /stiff spicy and orange chicken, salty(and cold) fried rice and bla green beans. How long ago did you make this food? I’m offended that you think it’s OK to charge $ 10+ for such crap. Please, you guys can do better, right? I will say that I have enjoyed your sando’s in the past(hence the 2 stars) — but if you’re wondering about Lee’s just skip it. There are sooooo many yummy options around. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

There was not a lot of variety left over because I went in around 7pm — I actually have no idea what their hours are, it looked like they were cleaning up to close, but they still let in customers. This may explain the expired tasting salad and stale fried rice, but it was worse than one can imagine. The filet fish tasted very bland. The fruit was okay though — the one thing that they keep fresh. I was surprised at the lack of quality — I mean, the concept of the buffet-style deli means that the food may not be the greatest quality — but it was real bad. the people in there very awkward because there were no utensils to pick up the food at the«hot» food bar, and I was not sure where I was suppose to pay my food. I was very surprised to find out that this is actually a chain store, and it sucks that this particular branch has to ruin their name. I have not tried their sandwiches, maybe those taste better. I actually have nothing good to say about them, except the lady at the cash was decently friendly. Definitely not going back again(should have read the reviews prior!)
