Short version: Leara is competent, thorough and tenacious. Our experience was enlightening and successful.
Longer version: Traditional logic and reason do not apply to the process of acquiring a home. The dynamic San Francisco market varies by district and will test one’s emotional capacity. My wife and I worked with Leara to translate our parameters (i.e. size, budget, amenities, etc.) into an efficient search plan that steadied our emotions and struck pay-​dirt. When the time came to make offers, her strategy was sound and follow-​up diligent. The latter point resulted in an accepted bid without a bidding contest plus seller credits. We also benefited greatly from her impartial judgement whilst assessing the risks associated with disclosures and optional inspections.

We had a great experience working with Leara — she just helped us close on a wonderful house in the crazy and competitive SF market. We met Leara at an open house and she immediately impressed us with her follow up and responsiveness. She quickly zeroed in on what we were looking for and sent us frequent listings to consider. When we decided to take another look at the property we eventually purchased, she accommodated our schedules and met us at convenient times.
As first time home buyers, Leara helped us make smart and reasonable choices. When we found out that several offers were coming in with waived contingencies, she rushed to find a reliable inspector so we could properly and safely understand the home’s areas of concern. She also advised us not to waive certain contingencies to ensure that we were properly protected.
What we didn’t realize was how much follow up and diligence is needed after you’re in escrow. For that, Leara was invaluable at guiding us through the process of working with the title company and last minute addendums and negotiations.
We highly recommend Leara and continue to seek her advice on the home (making some slight updates) and the area (preschools).

I can’t even imagine how we would’ve managed navigating the San Francisco real estate market without Leara. For background: my husband and I are/​were first-​time home buyers with a limited budget and a long list of desires. To say we were challenging clients would likely be an understatement.

She essentially held our hands through the entire process – she gave us feedback on all properties we inquired about, she did walk-​throughs with us, helped uncover remodel potential and resale values and had an answer to just about every question one could think of when it comes to buying a home. While we were in escrow, she had great contacts for inspections and was flexible and always available by text, phone, email.
Buying real estate in San Francisco is a seriously stressful endeavor, especially for newbies. Leara made it as stress-​free as it possibly could be and I can gladly say she found the PERFECT home for us.
