After years of working as a staff attorney at a local non-profit organization, John Robert Unruh decided to open his own law office to better serve the people of California with their legal needs. John’s practice puts clients first and is deeply committed to securing optimal outcomes for every client he represents.

Business Owner
John Robert Unruh is an attorney based in San Francisco, CA with a practice focused on family and disability law. A regular speaker throughout the Bay Area, John has spoken on topics that have included the criminal justice system’s role in ending homelessness and the VA disability benefits process. He also serves on the board of Bay Area Lawyers for Individual Freedom (BALIF). John received his J.D. from The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law and has a B.A. in Art History from the University of California, Berkeley. He is licensed to practice law in California and Hawaii and is a Department of Veterans Affairs Accredited Service Representative.
