With Laura’s expert planning and calming personality, our Hamptons wedding exceeded every expectation we had — AND we were able to really relax and enjoy our day. Laura made the whole process so fun and delightful. From the first steps of brainstorming the design vision, to the final touches at the event like linens and signage, Laura was thorough and attentive. She listened carefully, directed all of the vendors seamlessly, and always made us feel heard. She even doubled as a mediator and therapist for the inevitable family tensions that arise. I would HIGHLY recommend her for any event — we simply couldn’t have done it without her!

I’m a planner/​producer in my profession, so I originally worried it would be difficult for me to let go and allow Laura to run with it. But on the day of the wedding, I was able to completely let go and just trust Laura to make it happen. And she did! In the most beautiful and amazing ways.
I didn’t have to worry about a single thing, and I’m not even sure of the magic she sprinkled throughout the day because I was so unaware of any problems or logistics. Pie fell on my dress, and in minutes she and her assistant got that stain out. Magic! At the end of the night, it was like little elves had put everything away in it’s place and our room was filled with flowers and gifts from our guests. We had no idea that would happen! Magic!
Every vendor was completely happy with how the day went, and I can only thank Laura and her lovely assistant for how everyone worked together so smoothly.
Laura is kind and intuitive, and wonderful at planning ahead with family dynamics, venue logistics, and the general order of the day and night.

Laura Wright is by far the most gracious and thorough event planner we have ever worked with! She made the entire experience of planning our wedding not just calm, but also so much fun. My (now) husband and I live in Brooklyn, NY, and we planned a destination wedding at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs, CA. I’m from Los Angeles originally, and Laura was referred to us by friends since she is based in California. We could not have found a more perfect person to help us coordinate across the distance.
Laura initially spoke with both my husband and I over the phone to gage what we wanted the wedding weekend to look like, feel, and cost. My husband has very strong ideas about things, but sometimes finds it difficult to put into words, and Laura was instrumental in helping him feel like his vision for the wedding was being valued and heard as well as mine. We exchanged photos via Pinterest, and Laura and I set up weekly phone calls to check in about stuff. Laura was so amazing in working with our budget, and she found our dream photographer and florist (and even negotiated the price down for us) and booked em! I was more comfortable taking lead on invites and guest list, but Laura was my go-​to gal whenever I felt stressed or overwhelmed.
A month before the wedding, I started Graduate school and essentially dropped out of the wedding planning process. My husband and Laura (with the help of my ever excited, involved, and amazing mom) took charge and executed everything! I was able to essentially finish writing my midterms, get on a plane, and walk into a stress-​free, beautiful wedding weekend in the desert. We could not have done this without Laura.
Laura was brilliant at respectfully «handling» the different personalities in both our families. I also was quite disappointed at the event planning staff at the Ace, but Laura’s calm persistence and advocacy for us made everything work out beautifully! Both my husband and I felt truly taken care of and present through the entire wedding weekend. Laura and her crew navigated any last minute hiccups (none of which I was aware of at the time) in a way that alleviated any stress on our parts. It was our day, one that I will never forget and one that we will never look back on without breaking into a huge smile and feeling so grateful. All the guests felt free to have a wonderful time, let loose, and dance the night away under the desert sky! My husband and I felt the love of our community all around us.
Along with our ceremony and reception, Laura helped plan a Birthday dinner for my sister, the Rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding, and an after reception brunch for out of town guests. She did it all, and we could not have been more lucky in having her on our side.
A funny side note, both my sister (my maid of honor) and my cousin (our officiant) got engaged around the time of our wedding, and because of everyone’s incredible experience over our wedding weekend, Laura will be helping both of them plan their weddings in 2013! Laura was wonderful at helping us plan our outdoor wedding in San Francisco! We had recently moved out of state, and we hired Laura as a partial planner for help with some of the details that we couldn’t handle remotely. She helped us scope out great vendors and hotels for our guests that we wouldn’t have found otherwise. She made our vision of our wedding truly come to life, and was invaluable on the day of… every last detail was taken care of so we didn’t have to worry about anything on our special day! She was extremely professional and always approachable with any concerns or ideas that came up leading up to the date. I have had the unique experience of not only attending a 60^th birthday celebration that was elegantly orchestrated by LWE, but had my very own party (a surprise to me, no less) planned as well. The first thing that struck me about both events is the amazing job she does of capturing the uniqueness of the individual and the event. I was blown away by how thoughtful and in depth her work was and how intimate she made the evening feel. From fake mustaches and headbands to olde-​timey candy and sing-​alongs, Laura gets to know her clients, learns their personalities and delivers an event with a personal touch that will not be forgotten. Laura took over the execution of our wedding’s details beginning one week prior. She was calm, collected, and very organized (clearly a seasoned pro!) and I felt very comfortable handing over all of my hard work to her. She seamlessly handled a few curve balls during the actual wedding and was able put both my husband and I at ease and assure us that everything was going perfectly. I don’t even know where to begin — Laura is simply the best! I honestly don’t think we could have done it without her and if we had, it wouldn’t have been nearly as much fun. When we started our planning process we were all over the place with our ideas. Laura really listened to what we were saying we wanted and helped us figure out how to make it a reality. She found us the best vendors and negotiated tirelessly on our behalf and we ended up with a great team of people who all worked together to make our wedding so fun and special. She also has a great eye and really helped us figure out what would look good and when we needed to edit ourselves! The night of everything was managed so seamlessly — I never had to worry about anything, everything ran like clockwork, and all of our guests had the best time. It was so nice to be able to put it all in her competent hands so that we could really relax and enjoy our wedding. So many different people described the evening to me afterwards as magical and I had so many people tell me it was the best wedding ever.
But maybe most importantly, Laura was just a joy to work with all the way through. I truly enjoyed the process because of her and she became a true friend. After the wedding I had Laura withdrawals because I was missing our near daily pre-​wedding phone calls! The whole experience was truly wonderful and I sincerely cannot recommend her or her team enough!

Working with Laura in planning our engagement party was a pure joy. She was not only completely organized, but also incredibly creative in her thought process. I think the combination of these two qualities is exactly what makes a great event planner and can be a hard combination to find in many people.
Laura was very interested in learning about us as a couple and listening to all of our (sometimes crazy) ideas. She was able to take all of these concepts and organize them into the ideal event that was purely us on our best day.
