I attended a Business Networking International meeting today where Otis was a speaker. Wow, what a passionate and kind-​hearted immigration lawyer! Otis has two adopted sisters from outside the US and was raised in a multi-​racial, multi-​cultural family. He and his wife also created their own multiracial, multicultural family and speak 3 languages at home with their children. Otis has personally lived in several different countries and traveled to 22 countries in total! He strongly believes that all people should have the same freedoms to live and travel where they like, regardless of their race, culture, religion, or country of origin. I was so impressed with Otis’ presentation and his obvious understanding of the backwards US immigration system, that I will eagerly refer to him any friends and colleagues I know who may be in need of immigration help.

The light at the end of the tunnel!!!
I came across the law office like most people do in their search during dark times; lost, desperate, humiliated and in tears. Otis was not the first lawyer I had spoken to but he was the first one who actual spoke «to» me.
He took the time to explain the situation in detail and made calls on my behalf during the first 20 minutes of meeting. For the first time I didn’t feel alone nor did I feel guilty. After meeting Otis my bankruptcy case was painless and quick. He even did his due diligence with all the follow-​up for those creditors who didn’t get the message.
The office itself was full of positive energy. From the ladies working in the office to other clients coming and going; everyone seemed happy, friendly and sincere. Never would I have thought that when dealing with legal issues of bankruptcy and immigration that the mood would be such. I believe this it what happens when people are treated like people and not just a case number.
Otis is not only a great lawyer but a good person. Yes, it is possible to be both! Yet I still believe I found a unicorn and am ever so grateful.
