I stumbled across this cute little shop on my way to Martha’s coffee shop.
They seriously got the cutest little knick knacks for gifts! For children and adults.
I think what stood out the most were all the unique cards that I saw. I mean, they’re not your typical hallmark cards. It’s really hard NOT to like their stuff.
Totally would come back here just to pick up a gift. Especially cards!
Minus one star because it’s a tad pricey.

NOT KID FRIENDLY!!!
This place SUCKS! First of all– everything from the tacky plastic junk gifts to the lovely stationary is marked up ridiculously You can find everything sold in this store anyplace else and it will be half the price.
But what really pisses me off is that they purposely put all these little kids toys in bins all over the floor, but then give you the evil eye when your child comes in to play. I live up the street from this store and over the past 2.5 years have been in there weekly to browse, buy or play with my little one. Despite their obviously crappy demeanor, I have spent A TON of money in this store. This past weekend when my daughter came in to play with the conveniently located toy cars, the sales woman actually came to hover over her and ask if I «could be helped» or «needed anything» at least five times in a very loud and obnoxious voice. I told her repeatedly that we were able to find what we needed — but she just hovered and basically stared at us for 20 minutes. Then, when we went to purchase a toy she exclaimed «Oh Perfect, thank you!» in this «it’s about time» voice.
Moms of Noe Valley– do not be fooled. This is not a family friendly noe valley store. They are all about the buck and frankly, though I could, with that kind of attitude, I’d rather not.

I passed by here earlier and it reminded me where I bought my «OLD SCHOOL NATIVE SAN FRANCISCAN» T-​shirt that gets mad love every time I wear it.
Cute things, random things, funny things, silly things, reasonably priced things

Super cute store! I always like to pop in and get some cards when i am in the neighborhood. I actually miss it now that I dont go around there that often.

Absolutely love this store. The greatest selection of cards I have found in the city thus far. I would love to see more eco-​friendly, locally produced cards in the future though.

This is such a cute store with so many cute things to look at – especially for kids. It’s a fun, bright and cheerful place with friendly service at reasonable prices.
I bought a few children birthday gifts that were unique and fun. I will definnitely go back.

They had really cool stuff and the prices are bad. Like the toys and interesting things they sell. Unique too!

Great Card Shop.
Don’t bother with the over-​priced, generic, mundane cards from Hallmark, LL has tons of more personal cards to choose from; many are handmade. The store also has lots of other fun/​unusual items that make great gifts.

Ladybug Ladybug is AWESOME. I buy all of my cards here. The store stocks an extensive collection of very high-​quality letter press cards (e.g., Snow & Graham and Egg Press), and there are also slightly cheaper types of cards in each category for people I don’t care for that much or know that well (but to whom I still have to send cards). There is also a really great program where a customer who has purchased ten cards gets the eleventh one free, and since the store keeps track of this electronically, there is no stamp card to have to worry about losing. Plus, several of the women who work here have charming accents, and all of them are much friendlier than employees of other 24^th St. stationary stores.

Super fun, funny and silly store.
Has a greatly vast selection from cards to crayons to wallets and silks.
The staff is so nice and helpful.
Prices are comparable to the other stores in the neighborhood (not too pricey) and I love that they have what the Ark doesn’t have (and vice versa)… it’s a great neighbor store to the Ark and a great place to browse after getting coffee next door. Toys and then some!
Ladybug Ladybug is definitely a Noe Valley staple — they add just the right splash of color to the block.

I love card stores, and though I believe there are times for a «Hallmark» moment depending on your friends or family members, I’m more partial to unique and interesting cards made by places like Egg Press or Snow & Graham. Ladybug (squared) is cool place, not just for the trinkets and tees, but mainly for their terrific selection of cards at every turn. I’m glad it’s in my ‘hood!

OK, so I waited to the last minute to get a Mothers day present. It takes me four and a half hours to drive to see my family and four and a half hours to drive back. To be honest I always considered the visit to be the present. Still I didn’t want to just be sitting there while the various children honored the various mothers empty handed so I figured I’d pop in here and grab the first nice thing I could find.
I knew from Stanley K that this was a card and gift store but what I didn’t expect is that it’s also a pretty decent toy store. Almost instantly my focus went off of my mother and on to my Niece and Nephew. I picked up a cool little ladybug game for them.
To be honest the cards and mugs are a little too racy for my mother but I’ll be back to toy shop for the little ones.
I don’t know if this is a one-​woman operation but the woman in there when I was is very friendly and helpful.
I finally found a colorful hand loomed scarf at a fancy boutique across the street that I think my mom likes. She also acted like she liked the giant fake diamond earrings I bought her at Thrifty for a dollar when I was nine years old so who knows?

What can I say about a store that has the gifts for any occasion?!
From cards, mugs, baby clothes, and gag gifts, this place has it all. I like their huge selection of never been seen before cards. They are so effening hilarious. I don’t know any place that carries these kinds of things, so this place is definitely unique.
The last month, I probably come here four times, one for cards, one for newborn birthday presents, and twice just to look around. Every time, the store is amusing!

Don’t forget Mother’s Day is Sunday?!

Not only is this store located 4 doors down from one of the coolest book stores in SF (Phoenix), it sells cards from Egg Press (Portland based). That’s enough to get you inside. I LOVE this store. It’s got everything. Cards, stationary, apparel, jewelry, cool toys for kids… the list goes on.
It’s fun, visually stimulating and just plain cool.
Again, Egg Press? The coolest cards made. Period.

I can spend hours in here just looking through the cards. There’s one specifically for each person in your life for any given occasion. I keep myself from «stocking up» by remembering that it’s easy and fun to visit anytime.
They also have books, wrapping paper, cute baby items, frames, albums, etc. I mostly just buy cards here, but my other favorite purchase is a long sleeve t-​shirt with a pic of a turntable that I gave to my 2-​year-​old niece. So CUTE!

I love this store. It’s super cute and a total chick/​mommy store. They have cards, small gifts for kids and adults, wrapping paper, stuffed animals, candles, jewelry, clothes and more!
Lisa publishes her books here which are great for kids too. Little tales of various characters that have great messages. Lisa also creates hand painted silk pillows. I had her create one especially for my sister and her husband’s anniversary a couple years ago. They loved it. It was of the SF Skyline and a couple because they love San Francisco so much.
I wanted to make it to this store around the holidays, but wasn’t able to as it’s not so convenient for me to get to anymore from where I live.
This is a definitely a place to stop by if you’re spending a lazy Saturday afternoon with the kids.

Um, this place sells Christmas Cards with depictions of Santa boning Mrs. Claus with Rudolph watching in the same row as baby bonnets and children’s toys. It’s a racy if not odd pairing. You will be guaranteed to find some noe valley baby making machine giggling in the card section every time you go in, being all, «this is SO naughty!» I personally think they should take out the kid’s toys and the «whale you be my valentine?» stationary and full on turn this joint into a sassy girly sex boutique with crap like fuzzy pink handcuffs and love dice. It would be HILARIOUS. and also PROFITABLE. Noe Valley is far too clean for it’s own good. If change doesn’t come soon, i’m gonna start walking around this neighborhood flashing my tatas and being all, «green bud. green bud.» to spice things up!
Also, my current foster dog’s name is «Ladybug» so obviously they have good taste. She is a gorgeous yellow lab who was a baby making machine until her crap owners were done breeding her and dumped her at the shelter. Classy. Kinda like the women of Baby Valley when they’re done making babies and their bodies are all jacked up and then their men dump them for some 12 year-​old. That is sad too. Anyway, she’s good with people, dogs AND CATS! If Tanya Z. doesn’t snatch her up soon, you should! Adopt her!

Don’t get me wrong, I love email and ecards and the rest of the techie stuff that come with living in the ’00’s. However, nothing is better than sorting through the junk mail and bills and getting a card.
I hope cards don’t become obsolete. I don’t wanna be telling the kiddies, «See back in day, we used to write words on this type of paper called a card with this thing called a pen. Stamps were only $ 0.39! And then we would put this card in a mailbox and someone would deliver it for you!» These kids will undoubtedly sigh and collectively roll their eyeballs.
Shops like Ladybug Ladybug keep the dream alive. They have a fantastic selection of cards and gifts and they could not be more helpful. Also, they carry many cards by local companies. Nice.
The cards are funky and fun! For example, what kind of card do you get for a friend who had to evacuate N’awlins due to Hurricane Katrina? I found it at Ladybug Ladybug: «When life hands you lemons. .. you make a lemon drop.» Damn straight.
