Kwong Cheong Tai is a great place to shop for the Chinese dried products. They have a large selection ranging from Chinese sausages to beans and the more expensive Ginseng. If you buy ginseng from them they will help you box it up very nicely or however the way you want it. Most store owners in Chinatown are pretty rude but the owner and his wife are very sweet and nice. They will explain to you in detail how to cook certain things or what’s good for you body. On the plus side, they will give discounts if you buy a lot or sometimes give you more change. This place is also the cheapest place in the whole Chinatown. Definitely the place to go.

I’ve been coming to this place since I was a little kid who always whined about staying for about an hour around Chinatown with my parents. This place provides many of the locals around here with different items ranging from medicinal herbs to dried Chinese sausages. Most of their items consist of soup items by the pound like beans, peanuts and ginseng. They have some more pricier items in jar that are usually left alone for the majority of the day. Outside is where foot traffic can get insane, but it’s also where most of the different types of Chinese sausages are kept. If you’re looking for something to add to your rice cooker while your rice cooks, look no further than these meat treats.

Apparently this is the place to go if you’re looking to buy lots of ginseng. They package everything up for you in individual bags, too. Owner is very nice and always gifts me with a free box of ginseng candy or something else. Price of ginseng has gone up 10%, but still worth it. Parking(and driving here) is kinda crazy, but then again, it’s Chinatown… and Chinese people jaywalk like no other…

I was recommended this store earlier this year when I was considering buying boxes of American ginseng tea as gifts. Indeed, the owner or manager was very nice, gave a discount for buying four boxes.

we usually get their dried mushrooms here along with the dried red dates. they have other chinese stuff here too. they are pretty nice. they help us pick the mushrooms and packaged it for us. when we were too busy to make a stop on chinatown. we would call them and ask them to help us get our mushroom and we should just drop in, pay and leave. their prices are reasonable. next time i’m going to try their asian snacks.

Lots of ginseng, bird’s nest and Asian goodies to make soup, herbal tea, medicine and things of that nature. This place doesn’t come close to being the biggest of its kind in Chinatown. Neither does it contain the most variety. But some of the items in here which are similar to the ones in the store down the block, is lower in prices. And plus, I can’t resist a YERKCHOY store w/ginseng & bird’s nest who also sells POCKY and SUNKISS gummies!!! The lady cashier here can’t cashier for shit though. So watch her!
