Jeff Chang was a professional from the proposal to installation. His office and staff were personable and responded to my inquiries quickly. The telling point of any great vendor is how they treat you once the sale is made. Six months into our new office space and I have nothing but praise for Jeff and KBA Docusys. Most telling is that he still responds to my question just as quickly as he did before our firm signed on the dotted line. I have high expectations and as a law firm administrator, the attorneys and staff depend on me to pick the best equipment and negotiate the best price. I can be high maintenance and I’m sure I was not the easiest customer, but Jeff stuck with me, but in the end, the process of leasing the right copier was done flawlessly. He has stuck with me every step of the way.

Alex at KBA Docusys is awesome! He is very knowledgeable about his copiers/​printers and gave us great advice. He provides great customer service and is always willing to help. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a copier.

Alex Wen provides rockstar service! With so many companies available to lease equipment from, KBA is in a league of their own with great customer service! They are responsive, efficient and believe in the customer, which is nice considering the alternative. We have leased a Cannon copier from them, and to date (1.5 years so far) have had no issues. They did not try to upsell us or get us to commit to a machine that we don’t need, and seemed interested in getting the right fit for our organization. Thanks Alex and the KBA staff!

KBA goes above and beyond for their clients. The entire team in the Financial District office are helpful, attentive and pretty fun too. Whenever there is a problem with our printer a tech is sent out within the day and the problem is fixed. We’ve used KBA for over a year now and still receive the same great service as we did on day 1. Highly recommend this team to service your company’s printing needs.

Daniel Kim at KBA set our law firm up with a fantastic Kyocera copier that scans, bills to multiple accounts and does a dozen other things. The copier is still going strong 5 years later with no problems. In the meantime, Daniel has provided excellent service. He even found a way to save us money on our service contract!
KBA also set my wife up with enough copiers to serve a large foreign language program at Mills College in Oakland. It was a huge job, but they got it done quickly and everything has been working fine for the last four years.

Customers Beware! To call KBA Docusys mediocre is too flattering. This corrupt little company lies, hides, and fails to fulfill even the simplest agreements. Into an already maligned industry KBA emerges as the worst of them all. One star is over-​generous. Krappy-​Below contempt-​A (rhymes with basshole). Beware and steer clear.

I have been practicing law for almost thirty years and am a wanna-​be geek — always trying to get the latest, best, fastest device to make my practice more efficient as well as having fun doing so. I was referred to Alex Wen by my long time IT consultant and I am glad I called Alex. Alex came in looked at my current Toshiba multifunctional copier and recommended a Kyocera multifunctional copier to replace it. The Kyocera is faster, more reliable — and best cheaper than the Toshiba. I read some of the other reviews and I cannot square the negative reviews with my experience. Alex drops by my office to see how the machine is working and if there is anything that I need. So I wholeheartedly recommend Alex Wen and KBA Docusys for all of your office needs.

Stay as far away from this company as possible! I am quite certain majority of the five star reviews are from employees. There is no way this company could have a good rating. From the get go, our company has regretted leasing a printer from KBA. They would overcharge us all the time. They would never fix issues that needed fixed. Our three year lease is up in July and we told KBA we need them to get the printer. The Sales Rep Brian came to our office and told us we need to provide a written three month notice AND package the big unecessary printer ourselves and ship it them at our own expense. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

I was looking for some dependable but not too expensive equipment for my wife’s business. I found Monte to be very knowledgable and helpful. We were given plaenty of time to consider different options. In the end we got the copier that was just right for us. We are very happy.

these folks are simply derelict in servicing their machines (at least our machine) — they take a lot of money and it seems like many times they come out, something stops working very shortly thereafter — they are incompetent in my opinion keeping the machines working with Macs (in terms of wireless scanning — they couldn’t make it work and required a third party consultant to do what they said they would do; and in terms of wireless printing to the machine which stopped working properly after their last visit)
also the last service call was placed days ago (for something they purportedly just fixed recently beforehand) and they still haven’t come to fix the machine’s basic functioning

We were looking for a multipurpose machine for our small but extremely busy orthotic and prosthetic company and I was referred to Alex Wen at KBA docusys by a larger company that said they didn’t handle small business accounts. I called Alex and told him of our needs and he came out that afternoon to drop off information and talk with me about what we needed. I didn’t feel pushed or coerced in to a decision and it actually took a couple months for us to make up our mind. In that time, Alex did not hound me to make a sale and waited patiently until I called him.
When we did call and tell him we were ready to jump, he again, was here at my office that afternoon with the paperwork needed. We signed the contract and had the machine less than a week later. The technician that came out to install, was helpful as well and helped us set up our network properly and Alex was here to oversee and teach me how to use our new copier/​fax/​scanner to enhance our business.
Over the 3 months of having our new machine we have needed assistance with minor functions and each time I just call Alex’s cell phone and he picks right up and either answers my questions or comes by within a couple hours to show me how to do whatever I’m needing to do. The Kyocera we chose has been great and I couldn’t ask for better hands-​on service.

After years using the ‘free’ printer that one gets with a computer purchase, I bit the bullet and with Alex Wen’s help found a copier/​fax/​printer (has scanning too using a thumb-​drive) more expensive than I was planning to buy, but between the hugely increased speed (by a factor of about 10 for some large jobs I needed to do) and the savings by not having to go to a copy shop for the 100 plus copies jobs, I seem to at least be breaking even and have increased efficiency and convenience. Alex’s service and advice have been top notch.

Another 5 stars for Alex Wen. He recently provided us with a scanner for a project we had, to scan 3×5 cards. I mentioned to him in, passing, that we were having a problem scanning multiple cards but we could live with it. On his own initiative he called the factory and talked to them and then called me and told me who to call for tech help. I called and the factory tech stepped me through a procedure to fix the problem. I do not receive service like this very often. We have also bought a large format printer and a do everything scanner/​printer/​copier from Alex in the past and had the same great service.

Seriously, I do not understand the four or five star reviews. Their service is unacceptable with borderline illegal billing practices to say the least. We are still getting over billed every month. Last month our company was over billed by more than $ 500! I am not kidding. It has taken six weeks to resolve this matter… somewhat. Unacceptable is all I have to say about it. We were given every excuse in the book.
We had to trade out the prior printer last summer because it did not function properly as promised. The machine would fail to pull documents in when trying to print copies, in return, print blank pages while the original document still sits in the feeder. Yet, we would be billed for each blank sheet that was spit out. It was suppose to print envelopes, etc, but never did. It was suppose to scan, but only did so in black and white. That made no sense at all. They tried screwing us over, telling us that if they switch out the printer, it will restart the three year contract. Definitely did not let that happen, considering their product did not work as promised.
We are being billed for incoming faxes although they are programmed to go directly to the server and not print. I have told them this over and over and they fail to understand or even want to deal with the issue. I have told them to come to our office and see for themselves. To this day, no luck.
We have had the replacement printer for almost one year now and their excuse why we were over billed more than $ 500 last month was because of the prior printer. That makes no sense at all.
We needed a new ink cartridge this week. They mail the cartridge to us and send us a bill for shipping. You would think with everything we have gone through with this company and as much as we pay monthly and this being the first time in two years we replaced the ink, the shipping would be included.
I do have to say the sales rep is very nice and the service guy too, but unfortunately that doesn’t cut it.
We are at wits end with their business practices and will be sending them a final complaint in writing soon. Chances are we will have to take legal action against them should our letter fail to generate an appropriate response.

Our sales representative promised a lot to us, but nothing that wasn’t out of the ordinary, just made us think we would get great service, promised that someone could be out within 4 hours if it was an emergency, blah blah blah. The usual time to send someone out is 1 ½ days. He told us the Kiyocera was «green» and made with only 5 main components vs 20 on the other machines, so there would be far less break downs.
I found out from a Konika Minolta rep, that they don’t even sell new Konika Minolta’s, if we would have gone w/​a Canon or Konika Minolta, they would have had to go out and buy a used one to sell to us. They’re basically a Kiyocera dealer and claim to be a Konika Minolta dealer and i was also told and not surprised that the Kiyocera is one of the cheapest and poorly performing copy machines. I can’t believe we fell for the foreign, «green» statements.
Our sales rep completely ignores me now because I had to go to his boss to get a problem solved after he was ignoring my phone calls, voice mails, etc.

We are very happy with our salesperson, Stefan Brandes, of KBA.
He is the reason we trust KBA and its products.
He sold us a wonderful color copier and is very knowledgeable. He responds quickly to emails and genuinely cares how he is perceived and his level of service. He is a quality person and KBA is lucky to have him. If you need a new copier, ask for Stefan Brandes!

I have been using Alex Wen of KB Docusys for many years. He is professional and courteous and even stops by occasionally just to see how our machines our doing. I currently have 3 multi-​function copiers at my place of business which Alex helped me purchase. All function beautifully and I am paying much lower prices than I was with a previous vendor thanks to Alex. As with any mechanical equipment, service calls are sometimes necessary but I have to say that KB Docusys has been accommodating and prompt in both scheduling and completing repairs. All in all, I couldn’t be happier.

I have a small, document-​intensive business. Alex Wen of KBA Docusys is a true professional. I explained to Alex what my printing needs were and he provided several alternatives, including a printer that I could test for a week to make sure it fit my needs. He translates a customer’s needs into the right product and with the multitude of office machines on the market, this is a great service and time saver.
Alex followed-​up in person to make sure the equipment was working as promised. Alex advised me on the purchase of an HP color laser printer as well as a multi-​function B and W laser machine. Note: He recommended a mutli-​function machine that suited my needs, even though he didn’t sell it and made no money on the transaction — a mark of professionalism.
Anyone can whine about slow service, but when it comes to selecting the office equipment that will make or break your business, I always opt for trusting an expert.
