Kathy is awesome! I relocated from the East coast and was looking for a place remotely. She was extremely accommodating and was always willing to talk at any hour of the day. She has great insight into the real estate market and is a refreshing straight talker. She doesn’t dance around the sensitive topics, is EXTREMELY organized and executes quickly. Shortly after my first interaction with her (from the East coast!) I was signing a lease. Kathy goes above and beyond the call of duty. She’s like a full service concierge. New to the Bay area, she shared info on where to eat, shop and even where to get my hair cut! I am generally very demanding of people I work with and find most disappointing. However, Kathy is one of the few people I will continue to work with and have personally recommended her to all my colleagues who are looking to rent or buy. You won’t be disappointed.

Kathy is amazing! Like the other reviews state, she goes out of her way to make sure all your questions are answered and concerns met. She isn’t just all business — she listens to you as a person and makes sure she really understands where you’re coming from and what you’re looking for so that she can get you exactly what you want. Plus, she’s friendly and very easy to work with!

Unfortunately, my limited interaction with Kathy was not great. I reached out to Kathy based on the positive reviews regarding her ability to help renters find the right place in SF. After sending her a detailed email outlining what my fiancée and I are looking for in a condo/​apt to rent in SF, Kathy responded by saying there was nothing out there at the moment that met our criteria but stated if we were interested in purchasing a unit, she could send me a report. However, a quick search on Craigslist, Trulia and Padmapper returned 6 different units that are currently available for rent that meet our criteria (I emailed each one to confirm). Looks like Kathy is not interested in assisting potential renters so I can’t recommend her as a leasing agent.
I see that the most recent review for Kathy was over a year ago, so perhaps her priorities and interests have changed. In any case, we will find another agent to work with who is interested in helping us.

Called Kathy numerous times and she never answered me, guess what even emailed her and got no response. Just moved here from NYC and was no help. Don’t bother calling her or looking at her Craigslist postings. Don’t waste your time with Kathy Chan.

Kathy is amazingly helpful, easy to work with, professional, and reasonable people. I feel very lucky to have responded to her ad. She was willing to work with our budget and needs to find something that is just perfect for us. Apartment hunting was such a stressful experience. You run into some real slimey people that are only watching their own back and willing to screw you over. Kathy also has your interests in mind and watches out for you, which is amazing. She is reasonably flexible and accommodating as well, which makes the experience so much better. Can’t say enough about her, if you’re looking to rent out/​sell your place, you want Kathy on your side who will make potential renters/​buyers happy to close the deal. If you’re a renter/​buyer, Kathy will get you what you want and make it work.

Kathy is an excellent realtor, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy or rent in Soma. She has in depth knowledge about all of the major building and areas in Soma, and she’s extremely easy to work with. For instance, rather than trying to push you into buying just anything, she’s very candid about what buildings are holding up in value and are the best long term investments.

Having lived in the city for long enough to have leased out 4 different places, I can honestly say my experience with Kathy was the best by far! We were leaving for europe in a week and going to yosemite in the meantime, we managed to see a property and sign the lease within 14 hours. She was extremely efficient and understood our rush. Great person to deal with!

Kathy is awesome! She helped us find our fabulous apartment last year. From a renter’s perspective, she was a pure joy to work with. She is organized, prompt, friendly, and so knowledgeable about the SF rental market. We will certainly check with Parc Bay first when looking for our next apartment!

I was highly impressed with Kathy. She was very knowledgeable about the market and already had a number of pre-​qualified potential tenants for me upon our very first meeting. She is not a typical salesman — «let’s see how this goes and adjust the price and marketing strategy as we need to» type. I got my place rented out in 3 days and with an tenant I’m that I am very happy with. Happy I found her.
